Wow! Usually the houses featured are long gone. This one features four of them and they're all still standing. Glad to see history has been kind to the Wrigley legacy.

I’ve always loved the Pasadena house. I’ve driven by it dozens of times and my heart skips a beat every time I see it. The lines are so beautiful and elegant.

I'd have to say the Catalina property. As a kid I played on that tiny beach and looked up at that mansion. It was incongruous because Catalina only had a set amount of tiny houses due to the lack of water. So that big house was a mystery known as The Chewing Gum House. Years later as a student at USC, I found out the owner's name.

Have been to La Colina Solana in Phoenix several times for events, taken the house tour and have eaten in the restaurant. It’s worth seeing for the bathrooms alone, completely covered in beautiful handmade Catalina tiles!

Thank you for the information on Catalina Island. I went there for summer vacation in July from 1960 through the 1980’s. Always stayed at the Ida Courts Cottages and spoke with the owner much about Catalina history. She knew the Wrigley’s very well for many years, Both she and her husband were employed by Mr. Wrigley in various important jobs, but amazingly, I did not realize how involved Mr Wrigley was in the development of the island itself. The Forever beautiful and wonderful Casino building among other great iconic Catalina projects he was involved in making it the majestic paradise that it is and especially once was. I love the old, original ways the best. I also think about the beautiful Zane Grey home perched so romantically on the cliff. Really enjoyed this amazing video. Thank you!
    Fondly, Sandra Carey 🥰

In my youth my parents would take the family over to Catalina on the Wrigley’s white steamboat and my favorite place was the bird park -Oh those were the days!! Now living in Costa Rica 🌴😎🌴

Haven't been to the area but the summer cottage on the hilltop on Catalina Island looks incredible.
As a man who enjoys sitting elevated above everything, taking in the views in silence...that is close to perfect for my taste

Living in California, I've driven by the Pasadena house many times, but my favorite is the Catalina house. I remember touring it when I was young, before it became a public space. The gardens are still a tourist attraction.

You forgot 2 other residents. Mr. Wrigley had two homes in southern Wisconsin. In Wadsworth county. A grand & beautiful lake house in Lake Geneva, Wi. He also had a farm property North of Genoa City. On Powers Lake road. The property originally had several homes. A main house/mansion for Mr Wrigley. Several horse barns. Cow & milking barns. A milk house. A cheese making building. Dog kennels. Hay barns. A cold house. A smoke house. 3 very large ponds, created from a stream that flows all year. With a large waterfall, between ponds 2 & 3. A pet cemetery, with headstones. A keepers mansion. Hunting & fishing facilities. A Veterinary faculty. A guest mansion. Garages & other assorted small buildings. Several types of orchids. He also grew all the crops for his prised, pure bread, Race horses, cows, dogs & other assorted animals. It had vast fields of crops. It was broken up into several parcels, after his death & sold. The Klopstchine family purchased most of the farmland. The 3 houses, were sold as parcels, with attached, buildings. The largest parcel contained the main house, many of the out buildings & barns. The beautiful ponds, some of the orchids. Magnificent old growth trees. Also the cemetery.
The neighboring, to the east farm/estate belonged to the Perrie family. Of Carson's, Perrie & Scott department stores. Perrie farm, later became Honey Bear farms, a tourist attraction.

The Casino on Catalina was not a gambling casino but an entertainment venue with a grand movie theater on the ground level and a large dance venue on the second level. It was popular for people to take tourist boats from Long Beach to Catalina for day - evening trippers.

All of these houses are great. I like the exterior of the first house but the interior of the Arizona house is great. Along with Wrigley Field in Chicago there is also the Wrigley Building by the Chicago River that flows through the downtown area; it's a beautiful building from the past and still in use.

When I lived in Long Beach California most of my life I bought my first house in the Wrigley district, a nice cozy suburban area on Daisy Avenue. The house next door to me was the original agents model house. All the houses in the area were little Spanish bungalows and ranch houses. The whole neighborhood had night blooming jasmine growing in their yards and you could smell the sweet fragrance for miles around. I’m amazed you didn’t mention this section of Long Beach that Wrigley bought and developed. It has a yearly Christmas parade and they decorate the green median in the middle of the road with little wooden Christmas themed houses and characters. The parade has been going on since the 30’s and is a big todo for the neighborhood who all try to out light each other’s houses, they have a committee that gives awards to the best decorated homes. The Wrigley district runs about 10 miles and is a highly sought after area to live in. I sold my 2 bedroom ranch house in 2020 that I only paid $300k for in 2010 for $649k. I more than doubled my investment in just 10 years and was able to pay off both my first and second mortgage, hire a moving company to pack my whole property and deliver me to northeastern Texas where I was able to find a 4 bedroom 4 bath 2900 sq ft brick ran house on a near acre double corner lot with beautifully landscaped front and rear gardens for just $300k which I paid in full with cash. I’m retired now so it’s such a blessing not to have a house payment, and this part of Texas known as Texoma is beautifully green and lush all throughout the spring and summer, it even gets around a week or so of snow in the winter. There’s no snakes that I have seen and it does get humid at times and has its hot days but they are not unbearable. You should come visit, I have a lovely guest suite for you, your fans ChuckandMax

Catalina Island is my heart place. So the Wrigley Catalina House is my favorite. I don't have the necessary wealth to live on Catalina but it's where I wish to be. I also wish my ashes could be scattered on or near Catalina when I die.

I've been to the Wrigley House in Phoenix - it's not far from the Biltmore Hotel. I was told that as the house was built before air conditioning, it was only used a portion of the year. At each new year's opening of the house, the staff would have to come and chase the coyotes and javelinas out of the place. :)

As a child, my friend and I would walk in the desert towards Wrigley’s Mansion in Phoenix. You could see it from her house. There was a little spring and green area we would stop at. It was beautiful and so iconic. There was virtually nothing in that area and now it’s a blacktop jungle.

Wrigley OWNED Catalina Island!!! Mt. Ada house was the Wrigley residence on Catalina Island and was built on that location because that was the first place the sun rose on the Island in the morning! The P.K. Wrigley house, directly across the harbor on a facing hill was being built by D.M. Renton for his family but Wm. Wrigley convinced D.M. To sell the home To his son P.K. Who Really liked the house and since the Renton's had recently bought the B. H. Smith ranch in Atascadero, much of the uninstalled custom wrought iron work for the Catalina House was brought to Atascadero along with a ton of Catalina Island tiles! D.M. Had another building site down the road and built his family home there. The Renton family has maintained a home on the hill above the Catalina yacht club to this day.
