As a result of the dams reaching near capacity can the DA scrap the pipe levy that was implemented during the drought of 2017 and has somehow remained a permanent extra expense added to residents rates
@werner240, OUR?...who are the new people? Is that not using the same excuse the ANC uses when trying to defend why they haven't planned for increased electricity demand while they were busy electrifying every new home?
This ika weather whiplash. Welcome to the age of the consequences of climate change that scientists have warning of for decades, and govs have been ignoring. Say goodbye to 5 - 10% (if not more) of GDP (as per the Stern Report). New reports by insurance companies & banks clearly demonstrates that climate action provides economic benefits... if it's not too late for SA (high levels of poverty & unemployment, lack of social support, the brain drain awa urban & infrastructure decay etc). I hope SA has a plan... a very urgent & practical one!
Man, you gotta LOVE the DA for managing things well and prepping systems. Compare to other metros!
Have they built a new dam? That would be prepping...for the next day zero
@@MusehanaHWho builds dams?
Lift water levies since there is no more drought, no one speaks about it
Build more water storage capacity!!

Good, so the authorities shouldn't even try their luck with their "drought tax"
