A really great game between two brilliant masters of Chess where - as the Man said - one very logical move gives the other player an ‘unseen’ opening. Excellent !! Thanks.

Hello I have a question at 4:40, (once the white bishop moves on c4 behind his Queen) why would not the black knight on b7 capture the pawn on d6, no checkmate then, and the position is defensible afterwards, isn't it ?
@@irfanyamashita7184 i quickly ran through the entire fide rankings both in 2007 and 2008, only Anand and Topalov were number one at that time, Kramnik never
A little known story about Kromnik when he was in Berlin and one of the Hotel managers where he was staying offered him a free nights stay if he would play one game with him. Kromnik apparently declined at first, but being bored as one does in his hotel room, Kromnik ever the gentleman took the manager up on his offer, refusing the offer of free stay, and agreed to play one game with white. Midway through the game, a fire alarm went off and everyone had to evacuate the building. While everyone was panicking and leaving the hotel who was still sitting in the bar playing the game as if nothing had happened ? I have no idea. I made this story up.
May I please ask a general question irrelevant to this game? Is there a name for an opening in which White plays D2-D4 followed by G1-F3, regardless of what move Black plays for #1? I have never seen any video by Agadmator using that opening, so I wonder whether it's something that nobody uses or which is discouraged as unplayable. I arrived at this opening by trying everything I could to beat the Lichess engine (Stockfish level 13) on its level 5. Prior to using this opening, I lost almost every game. However, with this opening in time I was able to win or draw almost 50% of my games on level 5. (Unfortunately, I've been plateaued at the percentage for the last year.) The reason I use this is because it gives me my best chance to remove both of Black's knights within the first 10-15 moves, hopefully by tradeoff but if necessary one of them by trading a bishop. This is crucial because Stockfish's ability to use knights is mind-boggling, and I find that if I can't get them off the board quickly I have no chance whatsoever. If I get them off quickly and then trade as much as I can, I find I have a good chance at winning or drawing. (I win more frequently than I draw, because this engine has a blind spot: I can feed it unnecessary pawns which it is happy to grab, while I am marching my pawns to become queens.) So is this a standard opening, or doesn't it work with actual human beings? Thanks in advance.
I think 1 d4 ... 2 Nf3 is called the Torre System, named after the GM Carlos Torre of Mexico. He defeated Emanuel Lasker in a classic game where he offered the former world champion his queen for a windmill tactic that led to Lasker's resignation. Torre was one of those What Might Have Been type players; he certainly had the talent to become one of those names all chess fans remember today.
