Thank you for this video. Except for a slightly different cover, it was exactly the same for my 2010 Subaru Legacy sedan. It literally took me longer to watch the video than do the actual repair. Also, as a note, if you need to change the resistor, I believe it's the smaller connector just to the left of the motor back against the footboard and held in by 2 identical screws. Easy to get to without removing the glove box, etc. Kudos and thank you again!
Thank you!!! I was able to replace mine in my 2008 Outback with this tutorial, and my airflow is finally back to normal. You saved me a trip to the shop!!
Hi! Thank you so much for this great how-to video! I had no idea this was such a simple fix. I'm a 64 year-old female but I think I could change this out myself. 😊 Two questions: Will this motor (with the same OEM # as yours) fit my 2009 Subaru Legacy Sedan? Also, I probably need to change out the nearby filter. Do you have any info on the filter I would need and exactly what it's called? I'd appreciate your reply. I know practically nothing about parts. Thanks again for your awesome instructional clip. Impressive!
yes, it seems the part number is the same. as far as the filter goes, you can pick from any of these: www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/subaru,2009,legacy,2.5l+h4+turbocharged,1443527,heat+&+air+conditioning,cabin+air+filter,6832
Sometimes the little screws are hard to start back into their holes. May I suggest using a short 1/4 inch drive extension and socket to hold the screw, instead of your fingers. Easier to hold and turn.

My 2008 Outback was similar but turned under 90 degrees, gravity hated me, Your design way nicer to work with.

TKS BRO!
HI FROM CHILE....
Tks bro... Very easy.
Thank you!
I have a 2006 Subaru ounback and it's not that easy to change it since it's stuck to the floor so there is an impossible screw to remove
How did you handle it?
Do you have the OEM number for this blowerfan?

Thank you!
