destroy move is fun when it works out, but its hard to do with all the factors to it, especially with how specific phoenix force’s ability is compared to other cards, not that it isnt bad, its just hard to use, similar to thanos, knull, galactus, etc
Game 2 with Bar With No Name, Danger Room, Sanctum Sanctorum was hilarious. Opponent Spider-Ham and Doctor Octopus got countered so hard. Those games with multiple restrictive locations can be frustrating to play, but that was entertaining!
Armor feels pretty important in this deck, to protect the buffed Torch, 9 power Multiple Mans, and edge cases like that Fisk Tower game. I think I'd drop Cloak, he seemed to clog lanes more than anything in this.
I saw many people putting deathlock in their Phoenix Force decks, but wouldn't Venom be a straight up upgrade? The smallest card you would want to destroy is a 2 power human torch, which would be equal to the 5 power deathlock with Venom's 3 power, but if you destroy a Multiple Man, Venon is already 1 point up. It would open you up to getting countered by Shadow King, but shadow king screws you over regardless
@@XDak0 But having Venom also alows you to destroy cards you might not want to destroy and still get value out of it, making it so you also get value out of a non optimal Phoenix Force
My deck is slightly different however if my starting hand has a multiple man, phoenix and a destroy card I immediately snap, that's an almost guaranteed win with a minimum 9 power multiple man
One of the surprises with Phoenix Force is it doesn't bring back cards that regenerate on destroy. I guess because the card was never technically destroyed as opposed to cards like Zola that does actually destroy the card but then copies it. Cards like Deadpool and Wolverine just don't get destroyed. Disappointed we can't buff deadpool and wolverine with PF but it does help us destroy additional cards with carnage without polluting PF's respawn pool
A good card to use for PF is Rescue if you’re lucky enough to have Zabu down you can play rescue T3, venom the rescue T4 leaving 9 power on that lane come T5 play PF to have a 15 powered rescue and then play a 1 cost card on top of it for 20 power and still having 5 energy on another card!
Leader not working on Phoenix is obviously a bug they need to fix. Wish they would work out more of these card-interaction bugs before they released cards. Frustrating to lose because of them.
Its not a bug, the leader sees the card played but phoenix force no longer exists as the card is now whatever it resurrects. Therefor when leader comes in, it doesn't see any card played on other side. Hope that makes sense
@@thomasmarsh951hich would make sense if leader had a if this card is still in play clause, but it doesn't. "On Reveal: Copy the enemy card(s) with the highest Power played this turn, but on your side."
i run venom instead of deathlock and hulk buster instead of miles. i also run taskmaster over vulture for big pay offs with venom and phoenix (if it copy's torch then taskmaster copy's the power after you move it making him 20+ power easy)
I think Venom might be better than Deathlok here. If you destroy human torch, it's still a 3/5, but if you destroy Multiple Man, you get a 3/6, plus you can always make space in a crowded location without losing power
i learned that if you rez iron fist by mistake, PF will punch itself for some reason. not sure what the play order was supposed to be, but that weren't it lol
I plan to buy this season pass but after i saw some video gameplay and explaination of these cards, i don't want to buy this season pass, plus because i hate move card deck, i prefer destroy and i hear that next season pass is destroy card, so i would buy that season pass.
Idk, when Negasonic gets revived won't its ability reset so it can get destroyed again? Seems risky unless you're playing it on turn 6 without priority
@@codynardone8772 I was thinking Knull destroy deck. To be fair I haven't had a chance to sit down and play with the card yet. I'm not sure I completely understand how it works
7:15 I think the order that you played and moved Multipleman in this turn was bad. I am not 100% sure, but I think that by playing Ghost Spider first, and then moving Multipleman, it would have "erase" the first move of Multipleman, because of that the copy that should have go to midle location would never proc.
Regis, I'm disappointed. Imagine not putting Johnny's face in the Phoenix Force... This thumbnail did not meet the high bar you have set up for yourself!
man iron fist is so diverse, in typical move decks u usually play him later with other combos, now in a phoenix deck u wanna hit multiple man early. Bit difficult at first to break the habit of saving iron fist for later ._.
I am having tons of fun with an Electro ramp deck tbh 😄 Yondu is a decent counter, apparently Turns out Phoenix Force actually can't move unless it merges with something 😢
The base cost of the card is what matters for titan. So, since the pig has a base cost of 0, it doesn't get reduced. Death with 2 destroys isn't reduced by Titan either
Mechanically, Pigs are 0 base cost cards that copy the cost/power of whatever Spider-Ham targeted, to use as their CURRENT cost. Meaning they don't get affected by stuff like Magneto, Titan, Zabu, Polaris, etc. regardless of what the cost on their card is. Note: Spider-Ham, Sif, Black Bolt and Colleen all use the current cost when determining what counts as the highest/lowest cost card in your hand though, which is why Spider-Ham is likely to keep targeting the same card if he activates multiple times.
17:36 the game could have been won by not playing human torch and instead moving the mid multiple man to the left. Or is the effect not copied and one can only move the original resurrected version?
I think if you put that Vulture right, MM mid, and Cloak left, you could've had it. Unless they miraculously drew Hela on turn 6, they couldn't have contested
That game at the end of 17min could've been won by not playing Torch on the last turn and just moving more Phoenixed Multiple Men. Wasted a spot on Torch for like -8 or -9 power.
@@codynardone8772 Well, actually I wanted to mention that not all move locations. The Great Web comes to mind as one which moves cards randomly, ignoring the placement order I think. But that's the only one I can think of.

How would he move it to left?
I think you can't move the Phoenixed copy. If you notice at the beginning of Turn 6 only the original Phoenix floats and the copy doesn't.
Why Not venom instead of deadlock? Isnt venom on average a 3/6 while deadlock is 3/5 right? (Vulture or multiple man eat is 3/6)
I think the reasoning was to be able to tempo it if you have no destroy target.
getting some asia in on america's birthday
the first game opponent, if you wanna play sandman, keep your electro for 2 points, there is no reason to destroy him because u still playing 1 card
I say this all the time, it's crazy how often people do it. Maybe they topdecked Sandman.
Random thoughts, what happens if you play PF in a wong lane? Or what happens if you play PF into absorbing man?
Phoenix becomes the new card so won't merge with anything again. But it will retrigger on reveals if the merged card had one.

I need to test to be sure, but it didn't do the float up animation to indicate it could be moved, so I guess I didn't think to try.

The one you revive keeps its phoenix powers, yes.
