I’ve been noticing a trend with sketchy Deck verified certifications. It seems like every time it’s declared, and the launch version isn’t quite convincing, the patches correct it. Almost like Valve has access to advanced patches and know what’s coming so they verify it anyway.
Anything that has “frame gen in the title for deck is sketchy 😂 it’s a 30-40fps machine
That’s why we do what we do.
The main problem is that they review the start of the game only. Once you get chapter 4 framerate nosedives by 40%.
Yeah, the same was true for Veilguard. The initial forest area runs great but afterwards it is a complete slide show.
This is nowhere near the start lol.
@@SteamDeckGaming Isn’t that just the grasslands directly after Kalm? That’s basically 2 hours into the game. The problem with that is that you can get a refund up until this point. So, everyone can test the first two hours for themselves without any risk. It is much more important to know how the game runs at five or ten hours because Valve won’t refund you the game at that point. I had this problem with Veilguard. Bought the game based on videos showing the Forest area and played for about ten hours and then it became basically unplayable. Tried to get a refund but it got declined.
Also with Ratchet and Clank, the first levels are fine but later worse.
I just happy to see this game can play on steam deck
Thanks for the straight to the point videos ! Will you cover the Kingdom come Deliverance 2 ?
Thanks a lot for the tip too. Yes I’ll be covering KCD 2 once it’s released. Didn’t get early access unfortunately so will be after I’ve played through the first hour or so.
Excellent thanks! What a massive patch. 17gb, but now Steam is reporting 128gb needs to be downloaded. What a wild patch size given the sparse patch notes.
Very impressive patch, but I’m waiting for Valve’s next handheld (if there will be one) to play this and BG3.
Your gonna wait man get ur money up fr
I'd be happy If I could just reduce the horrible pop a bit for some stable 30fps, I'm not asking for much, right?
Thanks for the vid! Will play this now and hope nixxes fixes the issues for Spiderman 2 in time for me to play that
yeah the latest patch for SM2 did nothing for the deck this time around lol
Still waiting for fsr 3.1 frame gen official patch
works with framegen patch?
Does the update make it worthy of "verified" yet?
I would still probably put it in the playable bracket, but yeah if it defaults to low capped 30
@KyleVelasco it's already worthy of verified: it has steam deck glyphs, full controller support, legible text, and has no middle launcher. It support cloud save too. Performance is not part of the rating metric, but for me, 720p 100%/66% and High character resolution, medium texture, all else low, the game looks and plays great capped to 30 in the QAM, set in-game to 90fps.
Undervolting helps too if you're willing to do so.
@@xlitin "default graphics settings perform well on steam deck" is word for word one of the metrics for verification. You can click the verified badge and see for yourself. I don't know where this myth started that it isn't taken to consideration.
Is vsync fixed?
Glad to see things improved out of the box!
Optiscaler and use FSR 2.1.1 version => best results (compared to XeSS or FSR3 or native TAAU & TAA).
That not what outta the box means day one
Still not playable on the deck in my opinion maybe with decky frame gen but the fps drops way to much and graphics look awful
If the devs stop being lazy they could get this at 30 or 40 fps Locked it just takes more effort which they obviously did not want to put in
❤
Switch is gonna "crush it" says the deluded nintendo fanboys.
Said no one ever
It will ...but crash constantly 😂😂😂😂
I think DLSS may surprise you guys despite the Steam Deck’s likely power advantage.
