Dugtrio is untiered however that’s only because its arena trap ability was banned from OU. It is also a viable Pokémon in Ubers as it traps and kills Primal Groudon with Tectonic Rage. So depending on your interpretation it absolutely could be an Ubers Pokémon.
Idk the Nidos, Gengar, Weezing, Tentacruel, Venusaur, Victreebel and Crobat were all among the best options for early generations. I always used to consider Dragon, Psychic, Ground, Ice, and Poison as the best types
I remember the old days when the move 'fissure' was awesome. Giovanni used fissure on one of pokemon during my Red playthrough. Such an amazing trainer. My favorite for sure
I dunno, I feel like hippowdon could be an excellent choice instead of Nidoqueen/king. Having a double typing really puts a big weakness in his team. Sandstream ability would turn Rhyperior into an absolute wrecking ball since rock types get a big sp.def boost in sandstorm.

Dugtrio should 100% be on Giovanni's best team if it has access to Arena Trap. That ability is straight up banned to Ubers because of how powerful it is.
yeah but given how frail it is it can only possibly do a stealth rock set up then 1 hit if he has access to f. sash. nidoqueen can also set up stealth rock while adding some bulk and can be better at switching the in and out when needed. Do a switch in with dugtrio (unless ur pkmn fainted the turn be4) and pretty much any offensive move nearly or outright defeats it unless its electric type. it just doesnt go well with the rest of the team

Eh, the PWT is willing to look past Giovanni's criminal activities as long as it gets them revenue. Mega Kangaskhan was a surprise but it's understandable since Mewtwo on its own is already crazy broken. This is one hell of a team, you're gonna have fun fighting people online with it. This is a great series, great work with this video. Gio is 100% one of, if not the best NPCs in the entire series and this did him justice. A WiFi battle with this team would also be dope! For next True Power: Blaine, Steven and/or Whitney
Using lore from the other games and some rather well hidden lore in R/B/Y; we can actually see a somewhat ironic twist to Giovanni's story. At the start of the games; go to the PC in Professor Oak's lab, and you can see a message from Lance; basically stateing the Champion position is vacant; and it's actually implied part of the reason Oak sends Red and Blue off is so they can fill that spot. [Also the cut Oak fight; and Agatha's statement and hostility towards Oak imply that former Champion was Oak himself. Also note that the newly formed Alola leauge has Kukui as a 'placeholder' Champion, implying the regional professor acts as the initial intrim champion. Considering Jhoto dosen't even have it's own leauge, the Indigo Leauge may actually be quite newly formed] Now; if you look at Emerald/Delta Episode; as well as B/W/BW2; it's confirmed that in the event the Champion steps down, the EIGTH GYM LEADER is offered the position. Not a member of the Elite Four; the 8th Gym Leader. Clair also states that the 8th Gym Leader is effectively a test to see if you are ready for the leauge, and strongly implies they are at or above Elite 4 level. [Remember; it's also shown Gym leaders adjust the power they use based on badges in the direct anime adaptation of Red/Blue with Brock doing so; and also things like rematches in later games; and even as early as G/S/C where the Kanto leaders recognise you as Jhoto champion so don't hold back]. Except... Giovanni is MIA. He *can't* be offered the position of champion. Had Giovanni simply focused on being Gym Leader; he'd actually have been elevated to Champion.
See this makes more sense to have Giovanni with Mewtwo than Sabrina. Sabrina only had access to it from a download-only tournament that wasn't globally released, rather just to a few regions. Giovanni has used Mewtwo in the actual games (USUM, RR Episode) and available to all players. In general while I like these episodes, I think these would be better if you relied less on including rosters from the Wi-Fi download tournaments and focused more on canon, in-game pokemon usage that don't require additional means, since they were purposefully left out of the main game.

In the manga, Giovanni actually has a special bond with his mega-evolving Beedrill, so if we're not relying solely on game canon, I'd be curious to see if one could incorporate that into a "best team".

When you test it in a wifi battle (if you test it), maybe you could try to comment the battle live? I really liked the previous ones and I think it would be even better if there weren't those moments where you say you lose a pokémon or do a critical before it happens on screen. You could still make an analytical conclusion about what you thought of the team ;) Great video ;)
As a young child in 1998, I had a used copy of Pokemon Blue. His Rhydon was THE Pokemon battle that tested my mettle. In fact, it's the reason why I always have a Nidoking and a Rhydon on my team.

I really love this series, it reminds me of back during the Pokemon Battle Revolution days when I'd cosplay as gym leaders and champions like Brock or Sabrina, Wallace or Cynthia etc...trying to collect as many friend passes to unlock the Rayquaza print.

I like the cannon of this team. Spanning over several years and videos games. The Mewtwo is a clear reference to the anime. And Rhyperior is a reference to the manga, in which Giovanni was the first one to discover that Rhydon had an evolved form.
Honestly thinking, because he has ACCESS to Mega Kangaskhan, doesn't necessarily mean it'd fit better than any of the other options. If we're going for true power, Giovanni would much prefer show off his signature Mewtwo, rather than a Kangaskhan which (regrettably) only makes the cut in Kanto, at relatively low levels too. I'd think he'll go with Mega Mewtwo Y if he had the chance. In which case, Dugtrio takes Kangaskhan's spot: Battle Agency Dugtrio does have Arena Trap, and is at level 68 as well. Great video though!!
I really want to see you do N next. Besides him being a better villain than Giovanni could ever hope to be, he has a much wider arsenal of Pokemon at his disposal.
Just go through all the gym leaders. Popular ones will always attract nore views but im pretty sure we will watch all the Kanto ones and then all the "famous" Gym Leaders from other regions
Man I would love a game that has Giovanni as the final boss but his team is set to 70+ and excluding Mewtwo and including Persian could consist of any combination of these final 12 Pokémon and you wouldn’t know what to prepare for until you fight him, and once you beat him he comes in with the remaining 6 but subs one out for Mewtwo at an even higher level than the rest of the team to blindside you. I want to fight Giovanni where he’s not playing fair and could even have a device that would instantly KO or even steal your Pokémon if you leave it in too long without switching
I like the theory that Givoani wasn't a bad guy in gen 1. He was rich as shit and bankrolled the MewTwo project, and when MT went rampant, he tried acquiring Silph Co to use the master ball to control MT

In the manga, Giovanni actually has a special bond with his mega-evolving Beedrill, so if we're not relying solely on game canon, I'd be curious to see if one could incorporate that into a "best team".
Nah these videos are based solely on the games because the anime isn't consistent.

I really liked the previous ones and I think it would be even better if there weren't those moments where you say you lose a pokémon or do a critical before it happens on screen.
You could still make an analytical conclusion about what you thought of the team ;)

As a young child in 1998, I had a used copy of Pokemon Blue. His Rhydon was THE Pokemon battle that tested my mettle. In fact, it's the reason why I always have a Nidoking and a Rhydon on my team.

I really love this series, it reminds me of back during the Pokemon Battle Revolution days when I'd cosplay as gym leaders and champions like Brock or Sabrina, Wallace or Cynthia etc...trying to collect as many friend passes to unlock the Rayquaza print.

The teams that let Gordon and the other legend are probably there because if they did what they said and it worked out like they wanted...they probably can’t go back lol. I like the cannon of this team. Spanning over several years and videos games. The Mewtwo is a clear reference to the anime. And Rhyperior is a reference to the manga, in which Giovanni was the first one to discover that Rhydon had an evolved form.

Honestly thinking, because he has ACCESS to Mega Kangaskhan, doesn't necessarily mean it'd fit better than any of the other options. If we're going for true power, Giovanni would much prefer show off his signature Mewtwo, rather than a Kangaskhan which (regrettably) only makes the cut in Kanto, at relatively low levels too.
I'd think he'll go with Mega Mewtwo Y if he had the chance. In which case, Dugtrio takes Kangaskhan's spot: Battle Agency Dugtrio does have Arena Trap, and is at level 68 as well.

Just go through all the gym leaders. Popular ones will always attract nore views but im pretty sure we will watch all the Kanto ones and then all the "famous" Gym Leaders from other regions
Man I would love a game that has Giovanni as the final boss but his team is set to 70+ and excluding Mewtwo and including Persian could consist of any combination of these final 12 Pokémon and you wouldn’t know what to prepare for until you fight him, and once you beat him he comes in with the remaining 6 but subs one out for Mewtwo at an even higher level than the rest of the team to blindside you. I want to fight Giovanni where he’s not playing fair and could even have a device that would instantly KO or even steal your Pokémon if you leave it in too long without switching
