I believe that the carnitrix, is essentially what if the aliens in it were more horrifying and feral, idk much more about than that, but its a neat concept, that i believe has a good bit of fan lore about it
"What if the omnitrix did this" is what basically a lot of people have been doing for a few months now making new "-trix" alternative universes (AU).
I feel like it's a great thought experiment on how a scenario would play out with differences in powers and rules.
It's really brought some new lifeblood into the community with all the stories and fanart.
I wouldn't recommend looking too deep into it for now, because a lot of artists have drawn out to the end of the series.
Carnitrix is basically from an alternate universe (fanmade ofc) where Azmuth made it in hatred of other species and it turns you automatically into an alien when it senses an "enemy" near. Ben can literally feel all of the transformation sequences causing pain and aliens you become are tended to destroy any life form around them.
Complete story of fanfiction, SPOILER:
After Ben finds the Carnitrix he first kills Gwen as Heatblast (holding her head with fire). Then kills Grandpa Max using Xlr8 super speed (ferally). Then he eventually becomes a threat to whole earth since no one can actually stop him. Also not to mention Ben can acknowledge everything he is doing as feral aliens but he can't stop himself which adds to his pain. Then he becomes Alien X and becomes a literal multiversal threat. Paradox and alternate Bens come to stop him and eventually he gets defeated by getting a shot to his arm with Carnitrix destroying both Ben's arm and Carnitrix.
After these events, Paradox regularly visits this timeline to see if Ben is okay. After what he has done so far, Ben is regulary haunted by nightmares and seeks help from Paradox. Then they go to the past to prevent Ben getting the Carnitrix in the first place. However Paradox says to Ben that it will erase him from his timeline completely, he will simply not exist anymore. But Ben wants to do it anyways so he talks to his past self and prevents himself from getting the Carnitrix. In his last moments, Ben smiles and gets erased from his timeline.
SPOILERS AHEAD (it's pretty much the lore of Carnitrix)!!!!
Carnitrix is made by an evil Azmuth. Where *our Azmuth* created the Omnitrix to preserve all life of the universe, this one was created to *eliminate* any life form its host, which is Ben, comes in contact with. It's a KILLING MACHINE 💀💀💀

The carnitrix doesnt kill you but since its sentient , it takes over you . There is a little comic version and animation that made for fan made songs . But it spoils things so check it out these after finishing the franchise . Ig
The Carnitrix it's a fanfic created by a member of the Latin American fandom of the series. Basically, in that timeline, Azmuth hated all species except the Galvans. So, he creates an Omnitrix that transforms the user into different aliens but in their primary, *violnet versions. Later, Azmuth threw the Carnitrix on Earth, where Ben found it. Ben loses complete control of his body, but the sad part is that Ben remains conscious and can see and feel everything he does.
Never knew about this. It looks so cool. Also interesting concept.

There is more content of the Carnitrix not in this format of live action but there is more to check and many to learn and if you do check it all out then without a doubt the Carnitrix universe version of Ben definitely drew the short straw when it comes to finding a variant of the Omnitrix

There's a lot of fan created version of the omnitrix, the carnitrix is one of those and a popular one. There's a other one called the chaquetrix, instead of turning ben into alien. He summons female versions of his aliens with tons of different personalities

There is another fanmade omnitrix concept called chaquetrix, there Ben summons female versions of his aliens to fight for him and Albedo in that universe is a girl, its more fanservice in comparison if the gender bent thing wasnt a given
also fun fact about the au omitrixes if does something other than the original will have a diferent logo on it istead of the hour glass, so yeah if its an hourglass go for it and if its hearts think twise others just keep an eye out and try finding what the simble could mean
There's been a lot of fan made omnitrixes like this that have been coming out lately that do different things, either because of a glitch in the universe it comes from or was made with those differences in mind my the creator of said devices
