- I thought it about time I did a proper video on the best 911 I have ever driven. Frank Cassidy's 911 RSR replica sounds intoxicating and is stunning to drive

I love how it spluttered into life, it's so organic and consistent with naturally aspirated flat that is true to Porsche's heritage, mainly of the recent past. Wow

I've had the good fortune to be a passenger in this car and it really is raw and awesome, apart from being frozen in winter (no heating). And you have to watch your knees on the roll hoop under the dash.
The main memory, though, is the sound. Frank always has loud cars but this one...

Nice video - it’s so good seeing and hearing the likes of Frank actually using these cars properly - any chance of a video of this car on track - if you ask him nicely you never know - but I doubt he will after seeing you pulling off with the handbrake on!! Keep up the good work.....

It should be on 15’s for which there are plenty of wet tyre options from Michelin and Pirelli that would work well on the road.
Followed this car to a meet last year, both of us having to take a diversion so we headed off down some tight village roads and the sound of this and my V10 were epic. Actually think I have a video of it somewhere, should upload it I guess.

Yet again, XXVII, you've caught me out. I initially thought Frank said 250hp, but when I finally put my brain into gear, I realized a 3.5 litre tuned Porsche engine had got to be making at least 350hp.
By the way, is it as horrendously difficult to get in and out of the car as it would appear to be ?

Doubt it has RSR suspension. I.e short steel arms with brakes in the trailing position? 915 issues are usually the linkage which is tricky to adjust. I have a 3.0 RS with mechanical injection, double ignition, legal 3.0 engine which makes 345hp and its way lighter. Wonder where all the weight is hiding with composite panels.
Definitely best 911 most coustmizatiable Porsche aswell so many kits and not bad engine the Japanese tuner scene started with this type of 911 clocking 190mph on the streets of Tokyo in 1987 Pablo Escobar had an rsr like this aswell

Yeah Frank's car is looking better these days. A nice set of Fuchs 15s with those fat vintage tyres is the best look tho.

But could you live with it as your daily driver? Maybe with just a few creature comforts on the inside? That's what I loved about the 246 and 308 Dinos...you can drive them everyday of the week and always be in love. I did it with my 308 GTSi...every day, take the dog to the vet, go to jury duty, to work, to the supermarket. I couldn't get my body out of the car. How did this car compare to your 964?

Gorgeous car. The shifts made me chuckle (bwaaaaaaah... (pause pause pause) bwaaaaaahhh). Unless there is an issue, much quicker shifts are possible. But I can understand you not wanting to yank on the shift lever with Frank sitting next to you.
Just out of curiosity: has Frank ever hung out with Magnus? :-p

@@volod3mir Mmmmmmm, yes. I owned and daily drove an '84 Carrera, autocrossed a '79 SC, and still own a '76 911 (quite modified). And I spent the better part of the 80's working for various independent Porsche specialists in the US and Germany. I am actually quite familiar with all Porsche gearboxes from the 901 through the PDK. :-p

So the rear pads are worn, and rotors warped cause you kept forgetting to release the hand brake. Over revved the engine, when asked not to for longevity. Rounded off his 2nd gear. Something tells me we won't be seeing Frank again in a hurry.
