This video is so spot on, even for SN. This is what I try to explain everyone about why having space between the fabric and your body is critical as a natural (particularly SN can look like a burrito if something too tight) narrow and slightly loose makes me look so much better.
True! I'm a natural and very lean, yet when I put something tight on, I look...big. I guess that's the best word to describe it, I don't look fat in particular but I look into mirror and I feel like Fiona, like something is not quite right. Wish someone would tell me this few years ago!
@@talkativeacademy4528 I noticed that once I figured out I was SN. I am not lean but also not overweight (around a size 6) and it’s very easy to look like a box 🥲
@@missj794 If you don't mind: SD is quite tall w sharp angles (joints) and long bones, with elongated arms and legs. Fingers/ hands are usually slim and elongated. She will still be elongated when she puts on weight, and may put on upper body weight. (Nes Kim channel has some beautiful advice for SD's'). Naturals have broader bones and blunt angles. Hands are broader, shoulders/ribcage quite wide in underlying structure. R is supposed to be quite short, narrow shoulders, have small/short hands and feel, small ankles and wrists, and double curve ( you may have a waist), and look quite delicate even when they put on weight because of an underlying, delicate skeletal system with tiny ankles and wrists. Maybe you can see some of your bones, as shoulders, ankles, elbows, toes and fingers? That could help you type yourself. I struggled typing myself because I'm not 100% like any description, but found out by narrowing it down like you did, and discovering what lines, hair and makeup recommendations suit me the best.

Hmmm, you mean short soft naturals? I think people would think at first I am gamine but I am not (just because I am short and high waisted) I am not petite even though I am short, SN is the best line I have found for myself.

I love muted tones and recently got a skirt that its kind of really feminine looking, plaid and pink flowers on it, and I dont think its great on me but still beautiful! I love the feminine style, very girly, but I see its not really for me when it has too much lace for example, nonetheless I like the feminine, delicate clothe because I think it makes me look younger, fresh but it needs not to be too "feminine"

Ug shorts are hard! I'm also FN and need help in that department. I will say I did get some loose, linen shorts from H&M that look really cute though. I suspect those tend to work well for Natural types.
My best friend is also FN, she often puts a longer blazer on top when she wears shorts, I think that looks really good (especially when paired with some heavier shoes)! Another idea might be to match the color of your shorts + top so that it will create a longer vertical line

I have this body type occasionally I think how hard it would have been to dress in the 1950s, the tight bodices and a line skirts ugh. The 1930s otoh would've been killer with narrow cuts and body skimming silhouettes.

maybe you're not a natural then. maybe you're more of a yin type, that doesn't look the best when accentuating the vertical line of your body. naturals are often a bit taller. SN's can be a bit smaller, since they have romantic in them. width+curve.
It could just be a self perception thing... I'm 5'2" as well, and definitely a SN, and I use to think long skirts/dresses (which I hardly ever wore) dragged me down, but once I got use to wearing them and saw myself in photos I realised I looked great in them!

I think SN has good enough proportion to wear long skirts, even when they are short! Ofc you can empty your ankle area and wear wedges if you are not sure
It all depends on your essence. I have been told I am a SN, but with a romantic, classic, dramatic essence. So, I love wearing very feminine clothes, and I do need waist emphasis.
I am SN and I don’t look well with too much waist emphasis. It should be just slightly there. I don’t like using overly feminine clothes but more sporty looking.

I feel you. I'm a natural, and all I felt when I conned on was - meh, narrow but baggy, not exciting at all. Do I have to be a natural? :) Its not even a polished style! How I wanted to look like a Grace Kelly... But years of looking like a buffon in bad clothes taught me well and I have accepted the boring,, narrow, baggy, unromantic reality - I look my best in natural lines, like it or not.😅

Or maybe some jewelry that is on a funniest side, but is not to big or flashy. I've just find myself a natural, I had resist to it for a long, because I had a stereotype that naturals should look like a hippies😂 But now I feel relief, it just makes sense why I look amazing and tiny in wide leg corduroy pants, but awful in cropped pants or preppy sleek dress
All of these look like something someone’s great grandma would wear ew, I’d rather dress how I want and feel good without having moomoos draped on me ick

I'm a soft natural (but probably with some youthful or ingenue essence) and quite like them on me. But they might not work on other natural types.
Im 1.60, broad shoulders, not delicate bones, tend to be muscular my body, my body is assymetrical in general. So I think Im natural.

It shouldn’t drag you down if not too long, your ankles should show and you should be ok.
