Wow! You had some great weather. Even with the rain it brought some opportunity for some great light for your video. Clouds and fog always make things more interesting. Love those red eyes at Brad's water. Lol. Great job!
One of my favorite trails. Last did it in March. Thinking of doing it this week. Good to see it is not overrun with bunch grass yet (other than Boulder Canyon, which is clogged with Fountain Grass). I did Black Mesa Loop the other day. the entire 104 from 1st Water to the BLM junction is choked with bunch grass/buffell grass. And the once Garden Valley is now a savannah of grass. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like a fun and challenging adventure! Your camera work is great, especially given that you were hiking solo-takes a lot of extra energy to set up all those shots of you walking away into the distance. Very nice music as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this video-thanks! 👍
Looks like an awesome trip Troy! We're finally headed out there with the boys next weekend. Current water sources are MUCH appreciated! Perfectly fitting GnR track too. 😉
"There's little doubt in my mind I can make it on that water" ... if everything goes well. Happy to see you played it safe, or smart. All it takes is a badly rolled ankle and you'll be out there WAY longer than you anticipated with less water than needed. Plan for the worst, right? Cool hike, MJ!
You know what's funny Matt? I ended up with a full liter when I made it back. BUT...I drank a full liter of Brad's water too...so it was the smart choice to go get it. See you on the next group hike!
Just visited La Barge Canyon today, WOW. Went in a few turns and it got even better. We came from First Water, Boulder and most of Battleship, before turning down La Barge for a loop. Really enjoyed going down the bone dry La Barge creek.
That opening background music is a little “on the nose”😂👍 I did an overnighter on Peter’s Mesa years ago. The trail sucked then too😂 Those glowing red eyes at Brads Water😂 Great run though some lesser traveled sections of the Sups🥾👍
Surprised you went back to Hoolie Bacon after you gave it the rating of ‘suck.’ 😂 Great video as always! I just did 5057 yesterday to prep for a 33 mile trip from Campaign TH to Tortilla TH
Awesome trip! Planning on taking my son to Charliebois from Peralta via Bluff Springs. Are there a lot of places to camp close to Charliebois or do most people camp like a mile out or something?
Good question! Approaching from the southeast, there’s a spot just before the turn off to Charlebois. There are two more spots up the spur to Charlebois. However, most of the spots are south of Charlebois, on Dutchman 104. This video point them out on a map: Peralta Canyon - Charlebois Spring Overnight Solo Backpacking Superstition Wilderness ua-cam.com/video/r4FxyfDI8cQ/v-deo.html
Man, the skies on Day 1......Beautiful.
I think I'm going to start making it a point to hit the supes when I know its gonna rain... it was awesome.

Lol! Thanks Jim, glad you enjoyed it. I did too! Loved the rain, though my feet felt pretty worked over by the end.
Song choices are top notch as always! Keep inspiring us!!
Thanks! I like the music too… covers up all the heavy breathing! 😁

Juicy !! Love the G&R Nov rain cover fits perfectly
Yeah man, I couldn’t resist!
16:02 the red eyes were a nice touch.
Caught that eh? That was a creepy hole…
how fitting.......November and it was raining on this adventure.....LOL.....Awesome!
You caught that, eh Greg? LOL... been waiting for that opportunity! Of course, its tough to get cold November rain out here, but it still works.

Thanks Lori! I’m a total novice when it comes to the GoPro, no photography experience or anything, but I’m getting better! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing hike! Love your guidance and music too! Hope to go there when it gets cooler. Maybe will get lucky and see you!
Thanks man! I'm not far from the Supes, I try to get out there every other weekend or so. Love it out there!

Perfectly fitting GnR track too. 😉
It was awesome, but Troy wasn’t with me on this one. We’re hitting the four peaks this weekend though! 😁

I did the Peralta trail to Canyon Lake last year! Great Trails!
Legit!

Such a good time to be out there! Yeah, I really liked that whole stretch from Canyon Lake to LaBarge pool. Really cool canyon.
Thanks for taking us along on your hike! "When in doubt play it safe". Those are true words of wisdom Moonjuice!
Lol! Not trying to die out there… sometimes you gotta reason with the voice of reason.
I literally yelled at my phone “Go get the damn water!” So glad you heard me. 😅
LOL!!! I heard me too... just needed to work it out. Sometimes the right thing to do isn't so obvious. 😂😂

Hey man, if you find yourself in the cold November Rain, you gotta represent! LOL!
I wish it had been this cloudy just a few days later!
Hiking on a cloudy day is a rare treat

LOL! I know man, I didn’t want to, but it was the only way to get back from Peters Trail (which also gets the “suck” rating).
