I'm so fond of the characters of Mr. Edwards and Jonathan Garvey. They both added so many wonderful episodes to this wonderful, iconic show. God bless everyone who was involved.
Little House is my favorite show of all time. I've seen every episode at least 50 times since I started watching it in 1974. Maybe more,who knows lol. Its such a great show full of love,respect and kindness. What this world needs now. Most of the shows on nowadays is garbage.

I didn't like Little House when it was on and didn't watch it. I was a kid into monsters and Star Wars. Now, as an old fifty ish man in 2020, I'm watching the series for the first time and love it! When Mr. Edwards was inexplicibly gone, I was like WTF, did I miss an episode explaining it? So, finding this on youtube was helpful. Thank you for posting! Highway to Heaven will be next on my list!
True story. I was busy being a teenager when Little house was on but years later after I was married and had small children I came home one day to my Harley riding husband crying and he was watching "Little House on the prairie ".
Your husband isn't the only man to be reduced to tears watching some of the Little House episodes. A lot of men have shed a few tears during some of those emotional scenes. Not me, of course. Never, ever. Well, maybe one time...or more.
I got goosebumps when I heard they both died from cancer at the same age two years apart. May they rip they were awesome and also good friends in real life. 🙏🏼🥰🤗

I loved Mr. Edwards (Victor French)in Little House. He was a little rough on the outside but, a lovably bear on the inside. He's an example of you can't judge a person by how they are on the outside. I think it's fitting he started and, ended the show. I didn't know why he left. I like Garvey's to but, not as much as the Edwards family. Michael Landon and Victor French are 2 angels in Heaven.

You should have mentioned Victor French in the movie The Other. This was his first movie role as it was for John Ritter. The book was a best seller and the movie was popular at the time.

I’m working on a fanfiction story where they do get together after all and he has to be strong for her when she looses her vision. I can’t wait to finish it!

Such great short movies that was created for families to watch. My mom and I watch them then and now at 50 we still watch them. Not unclean has many movies are created by producers and directors they're so disgusting and disturbing. What enter our home was the Best like J.J Good times - What's Happening- Waltons- and the Jefferson's and last but least I Love Lucy, These Movies were created with respect and laughter, also enjoyable to watch and didn't matter how many times you watch over and over. How can anyone create this type of Love, Respect movies No one. Because these days no one "cares" its all lusting, nudity and no respect. I've been watching it on Cozi Tv and he returned on the episode when he got kicked out for his drinking and Laura helped him get over his alcoholism and then his wife divorced him. So he stayed in Walnut Grove as Roses Godfather and then moved into the boarding house or whatever it was that Laura and her husband owned

Hey everyone I know this video is older and it's possible no-one will see this but just in case the shows entire series run of little house including tv movies is in the free peacock catalog as well as seasons 1-9 at least being on IMDB feeling nostalgic and want to share it with the next generation but lost your DVDs you have options. Both of them require sitting through commercials but they are options.
It was very lame how he just disappeared after season 3. They couldn't write his disappearance into the show? He was just gone out of nowhere with no explanation when he was a beloved, primary character. It was petty of French to leave over money, but hey, I can understand it. You have to fight for what you think you're worth. But it was a dumb move on his part. He left a sure thing where he'd get less money and took a risk on a completely new show for more money after pissing off fans. But I think it was even worse for Landon to not even write it in and just leave fans hanging like that. Selfish, petty nonsense all around.
He thought he was going to be a big star when he went to ABC to headline a sitcom "Carter Country". It lasted a couple of seasons before it was canceled. Eventually he returned to LHOP.

I was into Transformers and others cartoons. I really didn't watch LHOP. Now I will be 48 and I will watch the episodes were Mr. French appears.

They had pretty good continuity in the show. Most stories were explained even if suspension of disbelief was required to some extent.
