@@h2gwillkmoher low register has always been strong. She can sing nearly 7 octaves. She just chooses when and where she wants to hit those notes. I love that she doesn’t feel like she has to be hitting ground breaking notes to prove something to anyone. She’s so comfortable in her voice and herself she chooses when she wants to go there.

also for the lower register, i don’t agree. she herself said that her lower register is her weakness (especially in her early career) when she is sick, she can’t access it. that’s why she constantly works on it and it shows.

The fact that people are freaking out in the comments that she’s singing low notes, and sounds deeper because of it, astounds me. Like yeah, Queens, you sing high notes your voice is high. You sing low notes, your voice is low. More than that, you need different tones, or mouth shapes to produce low notes and high notes. She’s just using a different technique to hit these low to mid range notes, and that technique is different than what you do for a high note. People are reading way too much into it, she’s just singing a mezzo soprano/ high alto song. Nothing even that different compared to the typical soprano/high soprano song. We’re just normally used to hearing her use her high range because that’s what she’s most known for. She should be able to step out of the bounds of what she typically does for a single song without people losing their minds, and wondering why it’s happening. Anytime Ariana does anything except for insane vocal acrobatics, and everyone’s like “wait what’s happening” as if they forgot that singing is not all about cool tricks and high notes. It’s about expressing emotions with sound and I just feel like it should be obvious that that can be done in a number of different ways. Did people really think she was only capable of being nasally and singing high notes?
