Nihphox actually fits well because he’s a good middle ground between po3 and the other 3 scribes which are all creepy old people. He’s a bit of both and smooths out the drastic differences
I know it’s HIGHLY unlikely this comment will be read, but thank you so much for making this! I literally just found out your channel, and I’m very glad I did. I loved these Inscryption videos, and I’m actually pretty bummed they’re probably the only videos you’re gonna make on this game, but thanks to your content I’ve FINALLY managed to get working on my own custom Scrybe, which is a project I’d been pushing off for MONTHS!
Thank you so much! Comments like these really make all the effort I put into these vids worth it, and thankfully the size of my channel means I can still reply to them on an individual basis. Hope your project goes well :> Oh, and as for making more Inscryption content it might be more likely than you think....
“I’m going to talk for the next 10 minutes, hope you don’t have anywhere to be” *looks at my cat who’s sitting on my leg* Oh don’t worry man, I’m not going anywhere. Also that intro perfectly describes sharing ocs on the internet
You know what. I want to make some lore. So niphox was originally the scrybe of technology but one of his minions, P03 found a way to take over and banished niphox to a very remote island to the far east of magnuficus' tower.
I'm imagining then all the scrybes had predecessors who they overthrew, and who have related but unique themes. PO3 is sorta sci fi, so Niphox is steampunk. The scanner is somewhat reminiscent of the stamper. Leshy is themed around his forest, so his predecessor could be water themed, maybe even a vodyanoy, to keep with the Slavic spirits theme. Instead of a photo camera, his tool could be film camera, something old timey with reels of film? His minions could be sea creatures, maybe an urchin who deposits poisonous quills, a turtle who hides in it's shell to block damage, and an octopus who moves cards around with it's tentacles. Grimora has her crypt and skeletons, so the old scrybe of death could be "grosser". A wet dirty cave instead of a stone crypt, decaying corpses and maggots instead of skeletons and ghosts. Their method of insrycption could be cave painting or shaping clay. Their minions could be explorers who died in the cave. One got stuck in a squeeze and maybe causes your card's corpses to block lanes unless destroyed, another was crushed by rocks and causes rocks to fall on the scales or something, and a third got lost after their light broke. maybe you fight their first phase normally, but in their second the light breaks and you can't see the scales or something. Magnificus is a fantasy wizard, he has a tower and apprentices. My best idea is some sort of Lovecraftian old gods cult, with rituals, menacing robes and weird symbols. Maybe their tool could a tattoo machine instead of a paintbrush. My one idea for a minion is a haruspex who kills your creatures and alters which cards they will play depending on the creatures stats.
I'd feel like each Scrybe would have their own way of showing their bosses, but that also kinda falls apart with Grimora also uses masks. I'd think Niphox would use puppets, with his multiple arms allowing for dynamic movement.
@@Morphybrinn My main problem with this fanmade Scrybe is that he treated it like absolutely everything happening in the adventure was real, as if the bosses are actual real people. With Leshy, it was clear it was just a mask, but with this, it's way too real.
Late by seven months but... I was just watching random vids then I found this channel. Seeing you do this is very interesting! If you do plan on doing a part 3, I'll be there to listen :)
Personally feels like po3 but older the cost reminds of energy but with slight RNG and using a giant stamp to put the essence of a creature into a card seems also similar to how po3 uses a partical scanner to transfer the data of a robot into a card it’s like past and future in a way and I kind of like it
I just remembered your Alchemy Scrybe randomly and went to look it up to my surprise there's a part two! I love both of the resource concepts and this one is just as interesting imho
Oh my god this is amazing 🤩 The amount of thought you've put into the mechanics and lore, the absolutely spectacular art, ahdjkdjdisnsi this deserves so many more views!
Dear Carpengizmat, thank you for giving me this feast for I was starving for some high quality inscription content. I've seen lots of card ideas as well as "what if's" for if Grimora or Magnificus had a hand at the game, but never a new scribe altogether. I absolutely loved all of the bosses unique mechanics and I also loved your idea for the map layout on how the player travels. It feels like Grimora's way of traveling, but tremendously better. I absolutely could imagine those robots scuttling to make the new path. Might I suggest those similar platforms but with small propellers to create a stairway upwards or downwards? The items and unique events were super cool as well! I would really love to see what this would be like in an "Act 2" version as well as interactions with other scribe's cards (like how P03's Meatbot is useful for Leshy's cards due to Worthy Sacrifice or how Grimora's Skelemagus is dependent on Magnificus' Mox cards to function.) I would love to see how the Mycologist and Bonelord sneak their way into this Scribe's domain, as well as seeing how some of the other Scribe's Minions or the Scribes themselves may influence their realm. We know very little about Magnificus' Spear Mage or Grimora's half eaten skeleton for example! All in all this was beautiful and I'm super stoked to see what other wonders you have in mind!
Lovely video, but I got some questions. Firstly, how would NiPhOx "represent" their minions? Leshy has his mask which he puts on, and P03 uploads the characters into his characters and shows them on his screen. Maybe have NiPhOx twist and shift their mechanical body to resemble that of the characters they want to show? Second, doesn't their theme of perfection seem a little to close to P03? In Act 2 he was obsessed with created good cards with great synergy, even if it was just for a single purpose in the end. I think NiPhOx theme should be driven by a simple, cold curiosity, not for some great purpose or end goal, but just to learn no matter the consequence, maybe have him through out the campaign say little comments like "Interesting..." or "Not optimal, but it holds potential...". But hey, its your OC and you get to do whatever you want with it, and these are just my silly little thoughts
"my real life existed" relatable and i really love this idea, i wish more people made their own scrybe ocs but i do suppose that after a while people would run out of idea's for them and start copying off of others which is never fun for anyone, but again love the idea
I've dipped in and out of inscryption discord servers and there is a surprising quantity of fresh ideas out there! I expect I'm one of the few who went this hard though lol
I had the idea of making an inscription scrybe that was all about warfare and strategy games, his layer would have been a WW1 bunker and he may or may not be the ghost of Adolf Hitler.
I absolutely loved this, These videos were sooo entertaining. I hope you can get 10 or 50k soon! your imagination is quite big! I like how you swapped what happens in the campfire and the alter where instead of gaining attack when you do it you gain a sigil and vice versa (or smth idk words) for the alter! I really want you to do more videos like this! (By like this I mean like expressing your imagination
So with how Leshy and Grimora use masks and P03 changes his face during bosses, I could see Niphox holding up pieces of scrap that represent his minions during their boss fights with his many arms. Diver is obviously diving gear, Scavenger is his Visor and implants. And the Overseer is an Eye jar, and several arms.
ok wow, I feel disapointed that I missed this! Alright, time to be ringing the bell for next time then. Seriusly though, Inscryption has a special place in my heart and I wish I was able to make my own scribe. Like one that works with more mythical creatures and uses sculpting tools like a chissle and hammer to make their cards, but thats as far that I could think of for them. Also, Diver hands down is my favorite out of all the underlings and I fully plan on trying to make something similar for a dnd campiagn
No reason you can't make your own Scrybe! All you have to do is crack open your word processor of choice and note all your ideas down - that's how these things always start for me. If you want to make cards then you can make them in any free photo editor and port them to tabletop simular or get them printed out yourself. Hey, you could even cut the cards out of paper and draw directly on them! Go for it!
I love this concept! Now I’m curious about: what niphox would look like if he was turned into a card? If you obtained an ouroborus, what would it look like? It’s relations to the other scribes?
With the last one you could say that, outside of the wipe (Let's ignore that), the game took on new life and in turn 4 new scribes were born, and Nyphox is one of the 4 as he takes the place of Manificus or Stoat (I won't call him by his name).
also, what game mechanic could he be connected to? Leshy- story P03 - gameplay Grimoria- save files/data Magnificus- art NiPhOx- ??? Other oc's- ???????????!!!!!!!!
Ouroboros will probably be a snake mixed with machinery. I'd say Niphox should have his own island away from other scrybes in act 2, and that should represent his relationship with others: Nobody knows much about him, so no one can really say anything, and Niphox has zero will to interact with others, as he is having the best time of his life on his island. I will also add that other scrybes while not having much to say will remark how he is the weird one, and even unsettling to a degree. The only entities Niphox feels good around are Mycologists, as they share their passion of experimenting on different things, and even incorporates them in his own game as sentient beings, like his servants.
Had to come back to this video because there's nothing else like it! I love all the genuine detail and thought you put into your custom Scrybe. Thank you for making a part 2, I'll definitely be coming back to watch it again!
cool idea for niphox talking card for part one. A scaup (basically a duck). It keeps the S names going and I can see it turning into the hooded figure pretty easily. They would have 1 attack and two health, be an avian, and have the airborne sigil because it makes sense.
amazing video. just like you inspired me to make my own scrybe (that being scrybe of microtransactions), this time you inspired me to develop even further on that idea. While i do still kinda like that gameplay thing i did (basically, you can place cards for free, but for them to actually attack, you need money, which will be drained each turn. you get money from either putting money bag cards, that give money once, then become just free obstacle, or sell your current cards, the price for them is half of what you'd need to use them.), i didn't really do much of building up on these ideas (as in how would campaign look like, cards, bosses, etc.), which i'll definetly do later.
I feel like this OC needs an equivalent to the Mycologist (or two) to help sell the biopunk/steampunk theme. So here's my rough shot at it, for Carpengizmat's consideration Encounter 1: The Iron-Stitch Iron-Stitch is a mask-wearing wanderer who specializes in machinery/robotics. The mask covers his face, but is jagged at the top, showing a severe head wound/ missing chunk of skull that has metal patches holding it together, as well as maybe a Tesla coil. He doesn't speak much, and what he does say is crude and otherwise direct. It comes across as a counter to the verbose, chatty nature of the Mycologist. Iron-Stitch can take PO3/ Technology cards and use Flesh or Ether to either put them together outright and make an Alchemy Card, or he can destroy a selected card from the deck and apply a sigil or bonus to another card of the player's choice. Encounter 2: The Scrapper Functioning more like the Trapper/Trader, The Scrapper looks like his name- he's covered in armor made from debris and the remains of (presumably) cards and opponents he's bested. He can destroy a card in exchange for a decent amount of various resources, be it Flesh, Metal, or Elixir. After a couple runs, The Scrapper may start offering to buff either the health or attack of a card, or applying a sigil like Ironclad due to using his loot to repair/improve the chosen card. However, after being met in this 'second' stage once or twice, The Scrapper will randomly show up again as a Miniboss, something Inscryption doesn't normally have. He alternates between flooding the field with weak cards that wear the player down, and several tough cards that endure punishment or buff as they survive in play. This change happens every turn he takes. The Scrapper only has one phase, and after the player wins, he yields and gives up a heavily improved duplicate of a card, usually with much better health if it's weak, or with 2 random sigils. The Scrapper ultimately relies on either timing and enduring his barrages, or on taking him down before he can 'gather steam' so to speak. EDIT: i was using Ether instead of Elixir. Please count this and Metal as alternate resources for what i threw out.
@isaac frandsen the mycologist is a bit of an oddball figure, but to me they figure the highest into Leshy's game, and generally their asthetic is a little at odds with The Scrybe of Alchemy.
I feel like the toxic sludge card would make sense if it had the sigils of sharp quills and deadly touch, because if a card has sharp quills and deadly touch, it kills the card instantly when hurt, due to deadly touch.
A really cool thing I thought of is a special card in a secret area called: "smiling rust." This card is like the stoat from leshy, meaning it can talk. It takes 2 yellow to summon. It has a sigle called "rusty attire." A card bering this sigle will make the card in front of it move to the left (or right) and turn into spare parts [spare parts are a 0 attack 2 hp and when killed summons a random card on the place it was killed]
@Carpengizmat I've added some things to balance the card, so the rust has brittle. So you can't just avoid it, it's type of card would be rare. As the process now has a few steps, it's still in the scrapheap. but here are new steps. So first you must defeat the diver (forgot what he was called exactly) and press a certain tile, and you would hear a click, this area is at the watchtower, then go back to the scrapheap, and a new door will open up, and a door will open, the greeting line says "w-who's there! I can't see in thos darkness!" Once you pick the card up, he will say, "oh! Hi there! Your the chalanger! They left me to burn on the pit, thank god you came though! I'll work forever in your favor to pay you back!" When a card turns into a pile of rust, he says "Wow! Time really douse fly!" Or after the 17th time he says "that scrap pile looks like it's about to make something else, not like you already know that." And the only cards he can't make the enemy turn into is the diver, scavenger, observer, and the super thing. For, well obvious reasons. That's all now! If you want to know anything else new about this card, let me know
honestly the super fusion seems to be really hard and punishing people who create strong cards also if ouroboros exists in niphox’s campaign you will be done for also it would be funny if the super fusion had one kinda obvious flaw that allowed you to cheese it maybe it not being immune to deaths touch or because of it being an unstable amalgamation it loses some health each turn so that its not impossible if you lose your strong cards also it would be fitting that the perfectionist scrybe of alchemy’s magnum opus has a blatant and simple flaw
This just makes my mind RACE with Inscryption 2! Like the ARG is Super cool but I just want this to be the game they original wanted like in canon but it goes into 3D World after the 2D get to understand the decks and how the work and defeating the Scrybe you wanted to replace sening you to their version of inscrytion it would be so COOL and adding a Scrybe like this one be so SICK I love this stuff!
I would one day like to mod Niphox into the game so it's really playable, but that's a long way down the line since my experience in both 3D design and Unity (let alone Unity modding) is amateur to say the least.
@@Carpengizmat You'll get there at some point and honestly I'd play that as soon as it's ready honesly makes me wonder if the mods for the other Scyrbes are done yet....
other scribes? (also i had a oc scrybe, some kind of fish person in a sunken ship cabin, in leshy's cabin, they're a Guppie card found in a ship in a bottle)@@MP2066
This sounds amazing, but one nitpick, the scybe's tool went from being to similar to Grimora to being to similar to Po3's. Po3's is his particle reader where he inserts a robot on top an its scanned into a card, and yours sounds like basically the same thing, up-top goes the monster and its pressed into a card. For an alternative I'd recommend chalk like one of the previous comments recommended. For instance he could use his chalk to write a alchemic formula that captures the card or something similar. Once again this is an amazing OC and I cant wait to see where you take him!
Personally love the stamping press idea. Can already picture creatures being put in and all the fleshy crushing noises as the whole thing rattles before slamming down onto the card to form it. Also interesting to picture the cards as being made of old metal rather than the usual paper.
The campaign ideas are actually a really neat way of utilizing some of Grimora's underused mechanics (the wooden piece freeroam aspect), and has the potential for some seriously cool first person sections, if you ask me. Mod when?!?!
love the video. nice to see game design ideas on yt i find the colored fabric backgrounds a bit harsh it might be the dotted look of it. maybe just slightly darkening the background could make it more easy on the eye? would help the eye focus on your drawings more as well.
Thanks for your feedback! I am actually gonna be departing from the canvas background in my upcoming videos so it's good to hear I'm making the right choice.
interesting choice to have 3 types of card currency combined with the dice way of getting it since they have 6 sides so theres 2 of each currency per dice so you wont ask yourself "i wonder whats in the other 3 sides of the dices"
This was an incredible Idea, I really like the Idea, from the dice mechanic Idea to the Bosses, to the cards themselves. I love it and I would love to see more Inscryption OCs and how their style of world, would be like.
Someone needs to make a mod for Inscryption about NiPhOx, It would be an amazing add-on campaign! Also, if they are one of the Scrybes, what would their original area look like, in the original Inscryption? Since the others are based in their home areas. I love the idea, the designs, you need to get someone to start making a mod for this! I'm serious! It's amazing! I give yo the best of wishes, Carpengizmat! Look for someone to make a mod.
I do like how you have not only one but -two- potential candidates for the specific minion that might dredge up the OLD_DATA fragment the scrybes use to take over the game extremely cool idea, especially like how the final boss card which could be exploited by having Niphox steal a card with brittle and having the card explode instantly
I cant really describe how or why i like this video The ideas dont inspire me to do my own thing but, it makes me think what other scrybes could have been in inscryption I do truly love this video though, keep up the good work, aslong as your up for it :DDD
I just want to say up until this video I had never considered creating a scrybe, but during the watching of this video my squirrel brain created a whole one, so thank you.
This is definitely an amazing idea that I would love to see in the game. The mechanics are all really cool and original. This would definitely make a fun mod for the game
I think this is a cool idea And let’s say that I have a similar idea for a new scrybe It’s the scrybe of elements I don’t have name for it now Anyway You’ll have a side deck of four main cards Fire and water and air and earth Each one will give you 2 element points in something called elements cauldron You hang to use the points to summon a card And there is 3 minions for him like all of the scrybes the first one is the scientist And the second one is guardian And the last one is the fallen one And for the final fight it will be a normal battle in the first phase but in the second phase it will summon 2 giant cards named the the emperor and the destroyer and for the last phase it will summon the mega element which is a combination of all 4 elements it has 2 damage but 50 health and it will be weaker if you have all of the elements on the board And that’s all what i did till now I hope you like it and if anyone has a suggestion for improving this scrybe tell me in the replies
Have you seen the new Inscryption-inspired game called Inkshade? It has the '5th Scrybe' vibe and uses hexagonal game boards. Thought you might like it!
I was watching the first video and was like "I think he should use a printing press to make his cards, whats more renaissance than newsboys and growing industrialism" and lo and behold he actually did it when I clicked the next video
Pretty damn late to the party, but this was so well made, and it gave me inspiration to continue with my "Experimenter" scrybe. I also would like to point out how insanely creative the cost system is. Small elements of RNG and typing like Magnificus' side deck, as well as the gradual ramp-up in dice inventory which kinda reminds me of P03's energy system. All of this is incredible, good job!
It's just so cool! I love the work you've put into Nyphox and its world. I've been working on making irl inscryption cards (it's literally just Bristol lol) and it just boosts my motivation One day I will make my own scribe! Thank you so much!
i want to play this lol also some other things: -a lot of the cards look slightly pricey, although it's hard to say without actually playing around with it as a full game -an item that lets you reroll your dice in your turn might be good especially if the decks tend to be very luck based -how would niphox display the characters in game, like with leshys masks and po3's screen? from your depictions it makes it seem like niphox might not be there the whole time, so if not, who is guiding you, and if he is there, does he just bring in his minions for the bossfights?
Good points! - Some of the cards probably are a bit unbalanced in one way or another. If I do ever make this a mod a lot of the cards will probably end up being tweaked and balanced. - Nice idea for an item! Sounds good. - My plan was that the lights go out and the bosses appear where Niphox was, but they're effectively drones and Niphox is "puppeteering" them. But in Act 2 they'd have real personalities and characters ofc.
@@Carpengizmat i love the idea that hes puppetting them! gotta say, there are a lot of ways niphox could have crossed over into po3's territory but they really do feel like their own individual scrybe. So basically, I love this, great job :D
Your going to convince me to make an Inscryption OC (scrybe or secret boss) with these videos alone, but I will need a reminder every once in a while to make sure I remember to write them down
The minions are the Mannequin, the Dollmaker and Tragecomedy, the Mannequin is just a plain old wooden Mannequin, but it's special ability is if you pay cloth, it switches outfits, which are separate cards i.e Wizard, Princess, Knight, the Mannequin mainly makes clothes to dress the dolls and puppets in. the Dollmaker does exactly that, paint and make wooden dolls and puppets, and has a similar paint mechanic to Magnificus. Tragecomedy is a 2 faced puppet with a love for the stage that they perform on, the Tragedy mask on the left (facing you) and the Comedy mask on the right, they put on the shows with the finished puppets
I can see him using P03 mechanic of Energy for a later part of his game. P03 being the only Scrib he tolerates, and vice versa. They're almost willing to call the other 'friend'. He'd despise Grimora and Leshy the most, and secretly respects Magnificus.
From my experience, one of the issues I thought of while playing certain acts, and Grimora’s mod, is that neither of them have a way to just combine cards to sigle super strategically or more accurate like you can’t take a card knowing you can add it to another card later or combined it in a way that is dynamic, like I like this system as it is, but it would be cool if there was a way to pick a card specifically so you could get their schedules onto other cards, like I get that you can add this to John’s a different cards, but at that point, it just is the health and damage as opposed to the interaction between multiple sigles
So I just checked out the enhanced cards, and I noticed that there was a talking card called "Green-Eyed Recluse." Considering all the talking cards are the scrybes and their minions, that begs the question: Who is the Green-Eyed Recluse? Is it supposed to be the form Leshy turns Niphox into during his DM sessions? I mean, Niphox has green eyes, and the damn thing is a spider, so it fits Leshy's agenda of being the Scrybe of Nature.
Amazing and very creative ideas, man ! Sadly for the gameplay mechanics and cards, you would HAVE to have an environment to test it out in to see if it all works. But I really like all of the aesthetics, the boss mechanics, and there are even some cool new sigils in there.
I'm currently working on porting Alchemy to Inscryption PvP (on tabletop simulator), and also making a tabletop sim campaign. Maybe one day I'll make a mod... but that will require me to learn modding first!
I dunno man, regarding your second concern in the video, your idea of Element Points seemed perfectly okay to me. I didn't see any problem with your hypothetical Alchemy cards having additional info printed on them, to indicate alignment. I liked it... `^_^ Though having said that, your 2nd idea is really intriguing as well. Thanks for sharing your ideas about a new school of cards for Inscryption. 8D
only gripe about this is, why does the final boss have made of stone? that’s restricted to kaycee’s mod but yeah that’s about it, i think it’s a great scrybe, i wonder what the uberbot, final game and what leshy turns him into, i’m thinking like a spider or something and what would be the other scrybe’s opinions?
I added MoS so it wouldn't be vulnerable to being one-shot with poison. Though to be honest having those easy routes to skip a boss aren't inherently a bad thing in singleplayer Inscryption so... eh. And as for the creature Niphox gets turned into by Leshy, I reckon a spider would fit best :>
If you lose in a battle would he turn you into a card like leshy? If so then it would be fitting to be in the stamper, looking through glass as you choose the health, power, and sigils for your death card
The amoumt of care and effort you put into showing your ideas IS AMAZING! I am such a huge fan of Inscryption, ive made my own cards, and IRL set. I would love to play your vision one day! Would you mind if I took inspiration from some of your creatures to add to my IRL inscryption set?

You know what. I want to make some lore. So niphox was originally the scrybe of technology but one of his minions, P03 found a way to take over and banished niphox to a very remote island to the far east of magnuficus' tower.
Ooooh the lore is getting deep now!

Thank you! Glad you liked it :>
When the world needed him the most, he returned!
Part 3: “I asked a mod developer to make my Scrybe”
Dreaming it's free.
I'd feel like each Scrybe would have their own way of showing their bosses, but that also kinda falls apart with Grimora also uses masks. I'd think Niphox would use puppets, with his multiple arms allowing for dynamic movement.
Yeah, that's the only thing that bugged me with this concept. That being HOW exactly Niphox would convey their minions through DM:ing
@@Morphybrinn My main problem with this fanmade Scrybe is that he treated it like absolutely everything happening in the adventure was real, as if the bosses are actual real people. With Leshy, it was clear
it was just a mask, but with this, it's way too real.
This is a really cool concept, and while I did like the old mechanic oddly this gives the scribe more personality and a really fun feel!
Late by seven months but... I was just watching random vids then I found this channel. Seeing you do this is very interesting! If you do plan on doing a part 3, I'll be there to listen :)
Personally feels like po3 but older the cost reminds of energy but with slight RNG and using a giant stamp to put the essence of a creature into a card seems also similar to how po3 uses a partical scanner to transfer the data of a robot into a card it’s like past and future in a way and I kind of like it
alchemy...a more 'natural' method, a lot less cold per say but the roots of both technology and alchemy arent far off
the art on the cards and of the characters are so appealing, good job!!
Thanks!
I’m pretty sure the concept’s developed enough now to be compressed into a mod.
I just remembered your Alchemy Scrybe randomly and went to look it up
to my surprise there's a part two!
I love both of the resource concepts and this one is just as interesting imho
This honest was like: OOOOOOO LOOK A SPOOKY BOI, and I loved the whole damn thing
Oh my god this is amazing 🤩
The amount of thought you've put into the mechanics and lore, the absolutely spectacular art, ahdjkdjdisnsi this deserves so many more views!
Thanks! I'm a big fan of the game so I wanted to contribute something interesting to the community lol
Another video that brightens my day and inspires me no matter how many times I watch it👍
tsym! I'm really happy that it's had such a positive effect.
This is such a good video!
I love seeing different kinds of scybes people come up with, and this one is SUPER in depth!!!
Glad you enjoyed! I put a load of work into it so I'm happy that it's being positively recieved.
i imagine niphox has a tantrum when you beat him then he gets his arm and head torn off by leshy like he did with PO3
Appropriately brutal!
I would really love to see what this would be like in an "Act 2" version as well as interactions with other scribe's cards (like how P03's Meatbot is useful for Leshy's cards due to Worthy Sacrifice or how Grimora's Skelemagus is dependent on Magnificus' Mox cards to function.)
I would love to see how the Mycologist and Bonelord sneak their way into this Scribe's domain, as well as seeing how some of the other Scribe's Minions or the Scribes themselves may influence their realm.
We know very little about Magnificus' Spear Mage or Grimora's half eaten skeleton for example!
All in all this was beautiful and I'm super stoked to see what other wonders you have in mind!
Thank you! Glad to see you enjoyed it :>
Lovely video, but I got some questions.
Bravo a well thought and enjoyable concept.
Thank you! These are my favourite kinds of vids so I definitely plan to do more of them in the future :>
Welcome back!!! NiPhox is so cool :) And I am also experiencing Inscryption brain rot lol, this makes me very happy
Glad to know I'm not the only one!
ok wow, I feel disapointed that I missed this!
Now I’m curious about:
what niphox would look like if he was turned into a card?
If you obtained an ouroborus, what would it look like?
It’s relations to the other scribes?
With the last one you could say that, outside of the wipe (Let's ignore that), the game took on new life and in turn 4 new scribes were born, and Nyphox is one of the 4 as he takes the place of Manificus or Stoat (I won't call him by his name).
also, what game mechanic could he be connected to?
Leshy- story
P03 - gameplay
Grimoria- save files/data
Magnificus- art
NiPhOx- ???
Other oc's- ???????????!!!!!!!!
@@EamPlaysYt Leshy is more of an atmosphere representative, so I'd say Niphox's thing is story.
@@EamPlaysYt Niphox - modding
Had to come back to this video because there's nothing else like it!
I love all the genuine detail and thought you put into your custom Scrybe.
Thank you for making a part 2, I'll definitely be coming back to watch it again!
Thank you!
cool idea for niphox talking card for part one.
Man, i really like this version of insryption! I hope that you gonna make soundtracks for this game.
I'd love to, but sadly I am not musically inclined. It's one of those things I just don't have a talent for.
I feel like this OC needs an equivalent to the Mycologist (or two) to help sell the biopunk/steampunk theme. So here's my rough shot at it, for Carpengizmat's consideration
Encounter 1: The Iron-Stitch
Iron-Stitch is a mask-wearing wanderer who specializes in machinery/robotics.
Encounter 2: The Scrapper
Functioning more like the Trapper/Trader, The Scrapper looks like his name- he's covered in armor made from debris and the remains of (presumably) cards and opponents he's bested.
Actually wouldnt the mycollogist be one of his goons? The th dont really seam to belong to anyone
Might make it a little bit too powerful, but it's undeniably very thematically appropriate...
Sounds fun!
If you want to know anything else new about this card, let me know
honestly the super fusion seems to be really hard and punishing people who create strong cards also if ouroboros exists in niphox’s campaign you will be done for
also it would be funny if the super fusion had one kinda obvious flaw that allowed you to cheese it maybe it not being immune to deaths touch or because of it being an unstable amalgamation it loses some health each turn so that its not impossible if you lose your strong cards
also it would be fitting that the perfectionist scrybe of alchemy’s magnum opus has a blatant and simple flaw
Yeah I did have a hard time balancing it properly. Good news is I have since created a completely new design...
man, id straight up just give them the old data at this point this sounds epic
What an amazing idea! I’d love to see a continuation on this, specifically what the area and the puzzles in it are.
i need a mod off Inscryption that adds this guy
4:12 So, if I have this right, getting the resources to play a card boils down to playing a game of Yahtzee.

This is super cool! I love the Scrybe of Alchemy....and his old system has given me *IDEAS* about a Scrybe of *OLD_DATA*
such a well thought out addition. I could see it in the real game, and I definitely want a mod for it
The alchemy theme faded into a more steampunk/fleshpunk aesthetic which suits it more, im just bummed as a fan of alchemy
People making their own scrybes, gives me flashbacks to undertale fandom making AUs
I do like how you have not only one but -two- potential candidates for the specific minion that might dredge up the OLD_DATA fragment the scrybes use to take over the game
extremely cool idea, especially like how the final boss card which could be exploited by having Niphox steal a card with brittle and having the card explode instantly
That campaign sounds really awesome! I love the diver, overseer, and scavenger. If this was made into a mod/fangame I'd wanna play it really badly.
I love this new concept. It's fantastic.

Not gonna lie I have never played MTG, but I'm gonna take this as a compliment :)
I would love to see some more of the personality of this character, like how they interact with the other Scrybes, or how they treat the minions!
I absolutely love this especially the designs of niphox and the diver
I cant really describe how or why i like this video
The ideas dont inspire me to do my own thing but, it makes me think what other scrybes could have been in inscryption
I do truly love this video though, keep up the good work, aslong as your up for it :DDD
I think i need a plushie of those Tile-borgs
I just want to say up until this video I had never considered creating a scrybe, but during the watching of this video my squirrel brain created a whole one, so thank you.
This is definitely an amazing idea that I would love to see in the game. The mechanics are all really cool and original. This would definitely make a fun mod for the game
the resource mechanic is just like dudgeon dice monsters from yugioh
I just now found this and I love the mix of bioshock and Inscryption
I think this is a cool idea
And let’s say that I have a similar idea for a new scrybe
It’s the scrybe of elements
I don’t have name for it now
Anyway
You’ll have a side deck of four main cards
Fire and water and air and earth
Each one will give you 2 element points in something called elements cauldron
You hang to use the points to summon a card
And there is 3 minions for him like all of the scrybes
the first one is the scientist
And the second one is guardian
And the last one is the fallen one
And for the final fight it will be a normal battle in the first phase but in the second phase it will summon 2 giant cards named the the emperor and the destroyer and for the last phase it will summon the mega element which is a combination of all 4 elements it has 2 damage but 50 health and it will be weaker if you have all of the elements on the board
And that’s all what i did till now
I hope you like it
and if anyone has a suggestion for improving this scrybe tell me in the replies
Have you seen the new Inscryption-inspired game called Inkshade? It has the '5th Scrybe' vibe and uses hexagonal game boards. Thought you might like it!
I was watching the first video and was like "I think he should use a printing press to make his cards, whats more renaissance than newsboys and growing industrialism"
and lo and behold
he actually did it when I clicked the next video
Woooo more inscryption content!!
I've been working on making irl inscryption cards (it's literally just Bristol lol) and it just boosts my motivation
One day I will make my own scribe!
Thank you so much!
i want to play this lol
also some other things:
-a lot of the cards look slightly pricey, although it's hard to say without actually playing around with it as a full game
-an item that lets you reroll your dice in your turn might be good especially if the decks tend to be very luck based
-how would niphox display the characters in game, like with leshys masks and po3's screen? from your depictions it makes it seem like niphox might not be there the whole time, so if not, who is guiding you, and if he is there, does he just bring in his minions for the bossfights?
Seems so
Good points!

@@gravity1537 thanks, I've got like 45% done, I just have a ton of testing so I forgot about it, thanks a bunch
@@SleepyKatAlt Been there; done that... I would love to hear what you've come up with!
@@gravity1537 it's a puppet theme with similarities to bones and energy, there's wood, felt, and cloth, to make different puppets.
New Resource is great but, it hasn't have a synergy with other scrybe cards like old one did
Little typo: Paper Trail makes a paper pile, not a noxious cloud
This update is really cool. The dice mecanics look great
Leshy and glimora use mask to play the first three boss
And P03 use his screen
But how about niphix?
Yeah, the green-eyed recluse is what Niphox would get turned into when Leshy takes over, much like the stinkbug or stoat.
Or maybe make a fan-game based on it!
I dunno man, regarding your second concern in the video, your idea of Element Points seemed perfectly okay to me. I didn't see any problem with your hypothetical Alchemy cards having additional info printed on them, to indicate alignment. I liked it... `^_^
Though having said that, your 2nd idea is really intriguing as well.
Really well thought out stuff, I really like it!
If leashy turned him into a card i think it would be a tarantula hawk
Amazing video, and great designs!
2:45 tribes
If you lose in a battle would he turn you into a card like leshy?
If so then it would be fitting to be in the stamper, looking through glass as you choose the health, power, and sigils for your death card
The amoumt of care and effort you put into showing your ideas IS AMAZING! I am such a huge fan of Inscryption, ive made my own cards, and IRL set. I would love to play your vision one day! Would you mind if I took inspiration from some of your creatures to add to my IRL inscryption set?
