Got comp toe Marins a couple weeks ago and love them! They’re the most comfortable boot I’ve worn. Pair of Goodyear welted moc toes by Frye lasted me 5 months. I feel the brunt may last me a lot longer. Living in the Midwest means a lot of salt and snow so my weekend will be spent conditioning them. I use leather lotion and beeswax and they keep the boot in great condition

@bladeknockingon700 I completely agree! Unbelievably comfortable, and they can take a beating. I've had a pair of soft toe Marins for over 2 years now and they're still holding on somehow. I've thrown everything at them, and they keep on fighting. Had to patch the toe on them with some toe guard but aside from that they're good. I should buy a new pair, but I'm honestly just curious how long they can last before they HAVE to be replaced. Other boots from "better brands" have given out on me in 5 months as well. People seem to hate on BRUNT, but those people haven't owned a pair. You really can't judge them til you've given them a solid trial period.

Just bought the same pair and my first ever Brunt Boots. Looking to condition them as well.

@stickmanutilities hope they serve you as well as they've served me! Thanks for watching and reaching out!

@cleanrestorations I used NeatsFoot leather conditioner. Never treated a pair of boots till now. Was going to use minx oil but wanted to try this stuff.

@stickmanutilities you probably made the right call on that. Did Neats darken the leather much?

@cleanrestorations yea it made it darker but I don't mind. But now I am reading all the negative stuff on Google about the Neats vs Using the Minx.

@stickmanutilities ah, hate when that happens. In a few months you can swap it up. Maybe even sooner if you're in a cold snowy climate with a lot of ice melt. I've met residue dries leather out like nobody's business. I'm going to have to condition mine again somewhat soon.

Do you suggest conditioning them right out of the box? Been trying to decide if I should or not. I have some huberds shoe grease I'm gonna use. Either now or a month down the road. Thanks

@ksajak hey, thanks for watching! Conditioning them right out of the box wouldn't hurt. Especially if you're getting some snow or rain this winter. It'll help protect the leather from ice melt residue and moisture. There's not much of a break-in period with BRUNT boots, but a quick conditioning will help any stiff leather get more supple and form to your foot quicker. Hope this helps! God bless.

@cleanrestorations thank you. Yea I threw them on when they came in and they're very comfortable! I was surprised. I'm in MA so it's cold and we have snow so I guess I probably should give them a coat of huberds shoe grease. Thank you for the reply. Hope you had a great Christma/holiday

@ksajak right? I can't believe how comfortable they are. I have both an unlined pair, and the taller version that is lined for winter and both are incredibly comfortable. I've tried several more expensive boot brands and none compared with comfort, and somehow despite the rubber cement construction instead of a Goodyear welt, BRUNT has been more durable and have lasted me twice as long as any other boot. People can knock them, but you really need to own a pair and wear them and test them to judge them fairly. Hope you had a great Christmas as well!
