that's not because we ride English, I've seen many western riders with their horses full of pink or blue or whatever, even with their hooves painted so shush
Short riders be like: "..... I still need to adjust the stirrups like that ..... or make exra holes ...." Siccors were my best friends in the stable :I
Awh the coloured tack thing is the opposite in England, it's like a battle who can have the most colour coordinating gear! Matchy Matchy is EVERYTHING! I have every shade of blue 😂
Reedspur Draws I meant with measuring a horse’s height in hands, saying it as 17.5hh is wrong, you would say it as 18.1hh because a hand is 4 inches so the .5 would turn into a 1.1 which would make the horse 18.1hh not 17.5hh. Sorry that’s probably super confusing😂😂
I've been riding horses since I was 4, my sister was a competitive rider and I never wanted to really.. I wanted to barrel race but it's kinda dangerous.. But I had a horse named Jojo and when I was 5 I could stand on the saddle and he would walk it was so cool.. Sadly he passed away with cancer, or something similar I'm not exactly sure... He was a great horse..
+EquestrianPrep yeah, we ride during the fall and winter because the summer were I live is extremely hot and humid and it's not good for the horses so I don't ride as much
The contrast between me and my ceramics teacher is hilarious. When she was a kid she fell off a pony and never got back on since then and I'm like, 'Oh, my horse rammed me into a metal pole/wall thing the other day and caused me to fall over his head. I got back on 5 minutes later. No biggy'. She looks at me in awe and asks how I manage to do that. 'Eh, you get used to falling on your butt.'
one of the kids in my class rode were I work and she was watching me ride a 4 year old and get thrown twice in like 10 minutes and that stopped her riding (she never fell of or anything)
lol while we are talking a about spills, I was learning how to barrel race on my trainers 5 year mare and a truck on the road scared her while I was on her. She took off bucking and i lost my stirrups and she threw me into the fence lol. I have a huge scar on my wrist. I got back on her like 5 or 10 minutes after that lol
i’m 13 and i’m so guilty of the colored everything for my horse😂 my horse has a pink scheme and he’s a gelding 😂 he is a palomino and white paint so pink just looks so cute on him 😍😍
NotoriousSpring aww, i feel so sorry for you! We're going through the same thing, but I asked to Muck out at a stables nearby for a free ride, that I start on Monday.
Sorry for that I'm self taught and my parents own a land with horses cows sheep and many others so I decided to let my parents save up so I just watched UA-cam videos and self taught myself
+Mariah Midyette my mom is a childminder and I work for her as an assistant, I'm really lucky but I'm sorry I don't know how you could earn the money x
I've had like a part time and I'm 12 yrs old, I get paid and I saved up, I saved up that much that I could afford a shire and now we're going strong and well. I have done 24 shows and I have got 14 1st's and now she is in foal hopefully she will give birth to a healthy shire foal.
Oh my gosh in New Zealand the colours thing is the complete opposite. At my barn every single horse has a specific colour or shade (mine's bright red) and it's like a battle to see how much stuff you can buy in that colour. Even my trainer has joined in and has started buying different colours for the lessons horse omg XD
I don't have my own horse but I ride at a stable every Saturday and once I had to tack up Olly because it was a fun day and my instructor dared me to do it So I tried and I couldn't even groom this back bare in mine olly is like 2 times the size of me and I'm like 4 foot 6 and it was hilarious cozy I was just struggling so hard to even brush his forelock and it was soo funny😂😂
I was taller than that at 11 wot. I'm. Not much taller than I was though 😂. But it's nice becuse you can get every area of the horse otherwise just mount him if u can't reach and groom gum that way, 😂
My younger sisters and I wanted horses so we worked for our neighbor to get fencing and fence post. We put it up and cleared out a field and fixed up an old barn (with some help from my brother). We also worked and bought our 2 horses a yearling and a minipony. I have a saddle coming in soon and my sisters will get theirs shortly.
This video was the first video in this series i watched and i love it, i kinda have a colorful tack set everything is purple exept for my horse boots witch are black
This is like the 10,000,000th time I watched this vid. lol I watch every vid you make every week and when I'm done watching it,I either watch other vids by other people or watch more of ur vids. You guys are really good rosiest and are very funny.
I saw these kids learning to post one time, and it was hilarious. They were literally leaning over the horses neck, pulling themselves forward, and one of them had their legs out at the horses shoulders. The horses weren't theirs, but beginner horses that had been trained to just kinda keep going when that stuff happens, and they were completely fine, but I felt so bad for the instructor who just couldn't get them to figure it out.
you know this is totally irrelevant but i ride my pony in every discipline using a stride free exercise saddle. in dressarge i constantly piss of the judges, lol
I started horseback riding when i was 10(I'm 12), and the pad was black, the saddle was brown, and the bridle is brown. The only thing that was colored was the lead rope and it was teal. Also, i ride western and i love your channel.
My first pony , chance was 11.2, my firends pony was 11.3 calld Toby , my mum took us to a comp and it was my 5th comp and her 1st comp she got 1st and I got 2nd I went belistick
I'm 13 but in western its very different in the colors stuff. The more colors, the better. It's awesome. I have a bright turquoise saddle pad and pink leg splints and blue, pink and purple reins. Even my saddle is colorful!!! I love western!!! I rein, rope and compete in all speed events!
I help around where I do lessons and I do chores. The leasing cost each month is cheap for me is it $25 a month and then the hay which is about $20 a month. So all up it doesnt cost much compared to other leases, for me it only cost around $50 a month. I also help around my auntes farm cause she owns 2 future race horses and if I feed them and brush them and just look after them in general, she gives me about $20 but that isnt very often, probably like 1 or 2 times every 3 months or so
I’m very proud of my self. After 2 months of riding, doing cross poles, mucking out all that jazz.. I learned how to do my girth and stirrups... I’m “very” proud.
It's how they were. They've been riding since they were young so of course they would be better than some random teenager who takes it up later on in life
The first one talking about how they didn’t have any matchy matchy things and loved crazy colors as a child. Me who rides bareback: I have no such weaknesses
I use those really colorful saddle pads because that’s all what the barn has 😅 I cant reach the horses back because i am 4’9 and I ride a 17 hh Percheron mare 😐
im 14, i just bought my own thoroughbred quarter. her names martini. i went to my first show this year and i got second place out of 16 people. i cried to much of happiness. remember guys, you dont need money or to be first place to have happiness.
I know this is a kinda old video, but I was doing a Show Hunter winter series at my riding school when I was 10/11, I was riding a 16.3hh horse, so I had to stand on the cross tie fence/horse separator thing, so I could reach his back. lol
the one thing that really got me is when you were riding and you tried to fall off in the kid part about it being easy when i recently just started riding was really nervous and i didnt fall and my horse is really stubborn xD and i love when my mom takes videos or picture of me because i love looking at them and puting them as my background on my computer or or phone its nice to see when you improve on riding but i havent rode my horse in like a month (other people ride him) ut today i might learn how to ride bareback or just ride and i cant wait!
I go to the same barn as you I think I’ve seen you is that Katie Colfers stable because I go there every summer and ride link and tuck And Calvin and Sisco
That's funny, when I was younger I didn't dare go near anything brightly colored because I didn't want to seem too girly. Now I just go full out Barbie princess pony on my poor gelding hahaha 😂
I ride in a drill team so we kinda have to be matching with tack and outfits. Most of the time we have to match our outfits with our horses tack that they are wearing.
when i was young i would go on a trail ride with my old horse eight belles ( i was into the race horse) and i would just lay in a field and not move into someone said we have candy at home. on and the different color sets is so me when im training! i dont have to look my best at home do i?
I am 16 and still love coloured saddlepads and matchy matchy sets 😍🙊😂
This Esme lol all my horses stuff is aqua blue!! My instructor hates me during shows....😂😂❤️
This Esme I'm 14 and still love colour so....😂😂
Ugh English riders
I'm 17, and have everything coloured I litterally own 1 white numnah per horse but have like 30 coloured ones 😂
that's not because we ride English, I've seen many western riders with their horses full of pink or blue or whatever, even with their hooves painted so shush
There was a little girl at my barn who got second place and got upset because she wanted the pink ribbon 😂😂 (5th)
Omg that's so funny
Oml 😂😂😂
Adrienne Davis
That's precious.
Adrienne Davis Too young to be riding.
Short riders be like: "..... I still need to adjust the stirrups like that ..... or make exra holes ...."
Siccors were my best friends in the stable :I
Aww!
Lol u know you can get hole punchers for leather? I feel your pain tho 😂
Aʟɪᴄᴇ ᴋ WUUUAAAATTTTT
KimMi we too! 😂 x
Omg yep!!
Awh the coloured tack thing is the opposite in England, it's like a battle who can have the most colour coordinating gear! Matchy Matchy is EVERYTHING! I have every shade of blue 😂
SAMME
Yep that's the same here in Canada😂
literally so true omg
Everything blue for me 😂😊
My tack is red and black
At my first show, I was only like 4 and I got first but, I cried until they gave me sixth... Because it was pink.
MadeInCanada619 lol, sounds like something I would have done
MadeInCanada619 for me sixth places are green, thank god they don't give out pink ones where I live XD
MadeInCanada619 omg me tooo😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Silver Stables Yeah
MadeInCanada619 I literally just saw a comment that said this girl cried because she wanted a pink ribbon....
I ride a 18.2 hand horse. First horse show I showed twice and got first both times! YAY!
Emma Gachaeditsx omg I ride a 16.2hh but I’m short
that's a big horse!!! mine is 17.5hh and he's almost too big, haha
tablen ! There’s no such thing as a 17.5hh horse...I think you mean 18.1hh
Jordan Rumrill a horse can be pretty much any height?🤨
Reedspur Draws I meant with measuring a horse’s height in hands, saying it as 17.5hh is wrong, you would say it as 18.1hh because a hand is 4 inches so the .5 would turn into a 1.1 which would make the horse 18.1hh not 17.5hh. Sorry that’s probably super confusing😂😂
I don't care what place I get I have a horse show in 9 days and I don't care if I come last place I just want to go and have fun and do my best
That's awesome!
Love this
Great. That’s what they’re for!
Berkley TheHorseGirl that's exactly how I felt on my first show
That’s the whole point
Me: *literally I was so childish back then!*
**realizes I'm only 10**

I've been riding horses since I was 4, my sister was a competitive rider and I never wanted to really.. I wanted to barrel race but it's kinda dangerous.. But I had a horse named Jojo and when I was 5 I could stand on the saddle and he would walk it was so cool.. Sadly he passed away with cancer, or something similar I'm not exactly sure... He was a great horse..
Aw I'm really sorry! Are you still riding?
aww
+EquestrianPrep yeah, we ride during the fall and winter because the summer were I live is extremely hot and humid and it's not good for the horses so I don't ride as much
That's great that you still ride!
Delanie Farmer I have a horse called Jojo. I'm so sad to hear, R.I.P. But its great you still work with horses and ride!
Wolf Playz AJ when the cringe is real #showoff
Nothing about what I said is showing off. The cringe comes from your idiocy to think that it is
one of the kids in my class rode were I work and she was watching me ride a 4 year old and get thrown twice in like 10 minutes and that stopped her riding (she never fell of or anything)
Poor kid, probably scared her. Takes courage to watch something like that happen and then be able to continue riding.
lol while we are talking a about spills, I was learning how to barrel race on my trainers 5 year mare and a truck on the road scared her while I was on her. She took off bucking and i lost my stirrups and she threw me into the fence lol. I have a huge scar on my wrist. I got back on her like 5 or 10 minutes after that lol
i’m 13 and i’m so guilty of the colored everything for my horse😂 my horse has a pink scheme and he’s a gelding 😂 he is a palomino and white paint so pink just looks so cute on him 😍😍
Yasss 🙌🙌
He reminds me of my horse!
I'm fine with "out there" colors, but for the love of God, do not use a pink and green saddle pad with blue and pink boots and a blue bonnet.
+Sierra Jade We typically never do that, it was for the child part of the video! lol
😂mine is black and purple with dark green rains it doesnt match but we couldn't find purple or black ones in the type I need
Still saddle pad addict and still colour obsessed!
Aw lol
Same😂
Join the club
I used to take lessons, but then we moved a few years ago and it's too expensive for us. I miss riding ;-;
Aw, I'm sorry!
NotoriousSpring same
NotoriousSpring aww, i feel so sorry for you! We're going through the same thing, but I asked to Muck out at a stables nearby for a free ride, that I start on Monday.
Sorry for that
I'm self taught and my parents own a land with horses cows sheep and many others so I decided to let my parents save up so I just watched UA-cam videos and self taught myself
I miss riding soo bad 😭 I want to take lessons
I'm guilty of still being a saddle pad addict.. 😂😁
+Equestrian Ginger yass definitely 😂😂
Cheers... Both western and english, I have to have them all!!!!
+StarDust Stables of course 💁
I have 26 saddle pads 😂😂
+Equestrian Ginger I ride western so I only have 1 saddle pad and don't even have a half pad
expectation vs reality of having a horse
That's a great idea!
Yay thnx
fhkojjhyx
Julie just a tip use less foundation because you look like a little bit of a cake face
EquestrianGirls8, I'm with you. They should make a vid called that
CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW PERFECT HER WINGS ARE?!?!

Danielle Sosa ohhhh makeup I get it! Also ikr they are so perfect like what

Omg Reese ilysm
Reese Olivia Simpson love your channel reese
Reese! I love your channel! You are such an amazing rider!
EquestrianPrep hi
im one of those people who got a *wild* 13.3hh pony instead of a fully trained 16hh horse so:P
Same 😂 I have a little welsh fjord named Johnny and he is really fast and crazy 👌🏼
Aw lol
Is that height? Sorry I only now the Dutch system XD
Same except my pony is 14.1 and I've been training her for the past year now. Plus I'm way too short for a 16hh sooooo
i was 11 and i got an arab/welsh yearling , what a way to grow up lol
I'm 12 and I started riding 4 years ago and I never did anything in this video (my younger childhood was boring lol)
I'm 13 and have to pay fully for my own horse
Hey I am wanting to own a horse I am also 13 and I have no way to get my money how did you get the money to pay for your horse?
+Mariah Midyette my mom is a childminder and I work for her as an assistant, I'm really lucky but I'm sorry I don't know how you could earn the money x
+PeekabooHamsters what is a child minder
+Mariah Midyette like a nanny but people bring their kids to her house to look after them so I help with the kids
I've had like a part time and I'm 12 yrs old, I get paid and I saved up, I saved up that much that I could afford a shire and now we're going strong and well. I have done 24 shows and I have got 14 1st's and now she is in foal hopefully she will give birth to a healthy shire foal.
"Do you have money though?"
"No."
Spend it all on my horse 😂
-Relatable-
Oh my gosh in New Zealand the colours thing is the complete opposite. Even my trainer has joined in and has started buying different colours for the lessons horse omg XD
Omg!
The Mika Express its like that over here in England too
My barn is Navy and Silver! I beat my trainer in the 'competition' and it was hilarious. I got a free 'No Stirrup Pass' for one lesson.
The Mika Express same! My ponies colors are purple and white😊
Same but I’m in america😂my pony’s color is purple
When I started riding, I wasn't even that bad xD I could trot without problems.. but now xD im horrible
Aww
Emily Bradley I've been riding for 4 years
CiciDrawz sameee
I've been riding for 8 years, I'm 12 now.
@Emily Bradley I've seen riding for 9yrs my mom is a horse trainer
I'm a child but I don't act like that around horses ! I do advanced competitions
Same half the suffe they say is wrong
That's your own opinion🙄
+Taylor Barton my name is Barton 2 I'm Irish
xXMaddiGamerXx yes same
The video is meant to be a joke and stuff they did as a kid with horses, don't take it seriously :)
When it’s Christmas my horses get dressed up so much in like bright red or green. They definitely hate me.
Ahhh this was great!!💯❤️
Thanks 💘
You guys are one of my favorite channels 😄😇 I'm a rider too
Thank you so much!
no problem :)
But it's nice becuse you can get every area of the horse otherwise just mount him if u can't reach and groom gum that way, 😂
You guys are making awesome videos! 💓🙏🏻 Love from Germany 😊
Thank you, lots of love!
Romina Meier bin auch deutsche 😁
Honestly, I still feel like a child when it comes to trying to reach the top of a large horse's back lol
aw lol
I love taking pictures of riding. I loved it when I started riding and I still do now! Thumbs up if u can relate!
I trained my lazy trail horse into a crazy barrel horse and i love western i have never ridden english
I'm going on 28 and I still ride in fun colors. Neutrals have their place but so does having fun.
I'm still a child and I pretty much do all of these things😂I still have to pay for my own stuff thouh...😂😂
I'm an equestrian and this is so relatable. It's kinda sad 😂

I’m am 5’5 and rode a 17.1 hand horse and had to stand of my toes to brush the top of his back! Lol
Lexi B Everyone around my height rides such massive horses, I'm 5'4 and my pony is 13.2
1:46 the horse looks embarrassed 😂
sorry my brother said that
you know who i am i am your sister bryce
julio drowned in the polio
I am a teen but am so short i have a 14.6 hand horse and can hardly see over her and had to put like 5 more holes in my stirrup leathers
I love color though 😂 bright hunters orange is mah THING
My mum won’t even let me get 3 saddle pads😐
Where is that red polo from?!?
I think Old Navy, not sure lol
4:56 I once had a tantrum because I got first.. I wanted the purple Rosette not the red one XD
My first pony , chance was 11.2, my firends pony was 11.3 calld Toby , my mum took us to a comp and it was my 5th comp and her 1st comp she got 1st and I got 2nd I went belistick
Is it ok I make one like this but in western I will give all credit
I'm just 12 , but for my bay horse I use brown, and for my gray horse I use black and navy saddlepad
That's awesome!
EquestrianPrep thanks!
And I love you and your vids❤
I think I watched this video 9 times
Even though I'm only 10 I still do the teen you things
GUESSSSS WHAT
Y’all just earned another sub today💜
I'm 13 but in western its very different in the colors stuff. The more colors, the better. It's awesome. I have a bright turquoise saddle pad and pink leg splints and blue, pink and purple reins. Even my saddle is colorful!!! I love western!!! I rein, rope and compete in all speed events!
That's awesome!
BreyersandBlossom lol I wish English was like that hope you still enjoy riding 😀
BreyersandBlossom I do western to and my saddle pad bright pink and my saddle is sparkley neon purple
BreyersandBlossom that's awesome! I have bright turquoise gear too lol.

I do that too

+Equestrian Ginger I have seen barns that have 1,240$ for boarding. Ill stick to 450$
+Equestrian Ginger its €200 a week at my barn!
my chances of owning a horse are long gone!! 😞😞
I’m the teen version but I’m 11...
RedstonePlayz - SAME!
I’m very proud of my self.
After 2 months of riding, doing cross poles, mucking out all that jazz..
I learned how to do my girth and stirrups...
I’m “very” proud.
Nice!
That's awesome!
@@EquestrianPrep thank you :] I just got a new horse today! He is 22 called gizmo
" like a 12.2hh pony, tiny right!" And I'm like, I don't even fit on a 12.2hh pony!! 🐴🐴❤️
Aww lol
Love you
Thanks, love you too :)
Your horses are probably like “ what are our hoomans doing?”
I started riding at the age 2 and I'm 9 and I'm still riding I love it 🐎
That's awesome!
I started at 2 too but I'm 11
I've only been riding for around a year and I'm 14 xDDDDD But I'm already jumping! :D
I started riding when I was 10, and I started out with the tallest horse in the barn- but I’m also really tall so it makes sense-
I am like you guys but I am younger
And I have been ridding since I was 2
This video is so wrong because you are saying teenagers are better at riding and are more sensible then children
Horseriding 1854 thats true, lol
We did not mean to offend anyone with this video. This is what we found in our personal experiences and it is meant to be funny!
It's how they were. They've been riding since they were young so of course they would be better than some random teenager who takes it up later on in life
The first one talking about how they didn’t have any matchy matchy things and loved crazy colors as a child.
Me who rides bareback: I have no such weaknesses
I have only had one riding lessons when i started troting and I didn't fall of. Edit:thank you equestrian prep for the like
Me n my horse grew up with each other so we have a rlly tight bond
I use those really colorful saddle pads because that’s all what the barn has 😅 I cant reach the horses back because i am 4’9 and I ride a 17 hh Percheron mare 😐
You guys are honestly one of my favourite channels ❤️ I'm a rider too
Thank you so much!
can you do a "strange things equestrians do" video pls?
Anyone else get anxiety when she roles in the grass
Can you guys do a video with your tack, show what brand model and how much it was
Ik this vid was a long ago but one of them goes oh shii after the one falls off
We're aware lol
Rilynn Hiatt haha 😂

As of today 4/26/2019 I start horseback riding in 4 days YAY!!!
This just made me think I literally haven’t changed at all 😂🤫❤️ btw awesome video!
Thanks!
im 14, i just bought my own thoroughbred quarter. her names martini. i went to my first show this year and i got second place out of 16 people. i cried to much of happiness. remember guys, you dont need money or to be first place to have happiness.
Is it bad that I have a custom pad with our colors and his name on on side and my name on the other
Not at all!
Pan I do too xx
When I was a kid I had less stuff since my parents bought it but now since I buy it I can have more things
I know this is a kinda old video, but I was doing a Show Hunter winter series at my riding school when I was 10/11, I was riding a 16.3hh horse, so I had to stand on the cross tie fence/horse separator thing, so I could reach his back. lol

+EquestrianPrep it was so funny, everyone looked at me like wtf is she doing.
the one thing that really got me is when you were riding and you tried to fall off in the kid part about it being easy when i recently just started riding was really nervous and i didnt fall and my horse is really stubborn xD and i love when my mom takes videos or picture of me because i love looking at them and puting them as my background on my computer or or phone its nice to see when you improve on riding but i havent rode my horse in like a month (other people ride him) ut today i might learn how to ride bareback or just ride and i cant wait!
Hahahaha
i have a cob the same height as Zara and if I put my stirrups on top hole i can't get on so they have to be on hole 1 then sort them when i'm on him
I ride in a drill team so we kinda have to be matching with tack and outfits.
That sounds so fun!
I love orange and blue
