The car scene and their first kiss are the absolute best. Both scenes are so monumental to their relationship and a real game changer in the projection of their story.
This is so beautiful and just puts everything into perspective! I love their journey. I know most people love to refer to their scene in the car at homecoming as like the changing point that solidify rina but just their interactions throughout that episode at prom with Ricky acting like a jealous boyfriend were all special. Season 3 definitely made that painful season 2 worth it. The parallels are just amazing. I’m so happy they can finally be together, I can’t wait for season 4. They’re literally endgame!
The director stated "I think "Homecoming" changed everything and the performance of Josh and Sofia in that car changed the trajectory of the show forever". It seems like the director knew from that episode that there is something he can build towards with those two characters. Both are similar and get each other more than anyone else would.

my absolute favorite thing about rina is that literally any moment they reference on the show is something we’ve seen we’ve seen every single moment between them built up from day 1, like that’s so detailed and precious!
I love that this is 34 mins! They are their own show! I feel bad for EJ but Ricky and Gina fit so well!! The build up was so good to and they found each other at the best time
I’ve been seeing the vision since season 1, I remember telling my sister that Ricky and Gina should end up together. You really can’t ignore when 2 actors have amazing chemistry even if putting them together wasn’t part of the original plan. Like Blair and Chuck from Gossip Girl
Gina gives me genuine Gabriela vibes. I believe she carried the show. She exudes such a good energy that viewers are compelled to root for her. Gina and EJ have a good chemistry; they appear genuine and at ease with each other. EJ is a really nice guy, and while they have good chemistry, I think their friendship is more precious. Ricky, on the other hand, has a special bond with Gina. It's as if his unresolved feelings become more apparent in the sum up. Although we would like to see more character development in terms of how he truly feels about her, it really shows how conflicted he was that he was able to realize Gina has been good to him and that he truly meant special for her. Gina is a wonderful friend who was selfless enough to take a step back from her true feelings in the previous season, and she now has the courage to open up about them again, regardless of whether they are reciprocated or not. Gina gets along well with both Ricky and EJ. However, I don't want to affect her friendship with EJ because of romantic feelings; I believe they are more best friends and soulmates who support each other no matter what, even if they aren't lovers. As for Ricky, it's a slow burn for him to realize what Gina meant to him, and their chemistry shines through without being forced. Gina has been holding back all along, and the kiss is enough to show how he truly feels about her. It's quite unexpected, but they've created a romantic facade that fits their roles. They are the show's Troy and Gabriela.
I don’t care what anyone says but for a disney+ show about theatre kids putting on musicals, rina has a pretty amazing romantic arc; some of the writing may have been a little off but overall, it’s still a very beautiful love story for ricky and gina
That song that Ricky and Gina had in season 3 was full of chemistry!! You could feel their feelings developing for each other, there was no denying it. I loved their relationship and how when it came down to it, it was both of them who ended up together.❤
I love their dynamic! I read a tweet about how Ricky was so afraid of change and Gina never having any stability. Now Ricky has learned to embrace change and Gina finally found her stability in Ricky and staying in Salt Lake! Also loved how she finally got her singing with Ricky and his guitar moment. Similar to when Ricky and Nini sang at Ashlyn’s New Year’s party last season! When rewatching the entire series to date, Tim was not lying when he said they had been developing this relationship since season 1! I just know they’re destined to be endgame!

Tim Federle might not be the best writer for whole movies or series, but he is a genius when it comes to long term relationship setting and character development throughout seasons

Honestly, their journey is beautiful and BIG respect to the people who written the script for this. I feel like in season 1 they were getting to know each other ,in season 2 Gina was selfless even though she knew she felt something to Ricky and was also at the same time asertive towards him(for example when he asked for theorethical relationship advice),on season 3 Ricky was the selfless one ,trying to support his friend ,putting aside his feeling and being there for her. And for the record I love all of these ships :EJ×Gina Nini×Ricky Ricky×Gina. Even though they didn't work out in the end or there was prbkems and drama along the way it still worth seeing

I guess Nini wasnt right for Ricky since she also was more focused on career. And EJ wasnt rrihht for Gina cuz he didnt set his priorities the way he shouldve. I really think itd for real this time especially since both know eachother do well and have been through a lot together as friends. So so so happy it ended up like it did.
