    I like the combo decor. I require an oven, so I do appreciate having one. I also prefer a fixed bed instead of a murphy bed. Road mode is great! Definitely a contender for me.

  • @suedesignable

    Really really nice!! I actually like the shorter bed cabinets. A tad less storage but not a coffin feel while sleeping🤦‍♀️. Dinette looks tight just sitting down and now I’m preferring the dining bar cause no kiddos. Love your presentations. Always informative. Love the double axle and sealed underbelly. All the extra stuff exterior is so bonus.

    I really like the way this looks, nice, bright and roomy, no floor vents too, big plus! Lots of storage for the size of the camper. Don’t really like the curtain with the shower, but I guess it gives you more room to move in the shower, even if it means the curtain sticks to you.
    Access when closed is pretty good in fairness.

    Jayco does a very nice job with their RVs and this one is nice . Only critique I can see is shower curtains should be a thing of the past , hard doors keep the shower water in so much better. I’m still 50-50 on slide outs while I do appreciate the extra space they provide there is now more maintenance and possible water leak areas but if you do get a slide you should really get the dinette or couch slide as opposed to the kitchen, an old time RV technician told me years ago, that the kitchen and fridge on a slide There are wiring and plumbing that is constantly moving in and out, and can be a problem down the road where the couch or dinette there is nothing.

    Any maker who makes this floorpan needs to take note of the Ember 22MLQ, which has the same floorpan. You reviewed it just the other day...the bathroom toilet space..the Ember got the space...they got it right. I thought I liked this floorplan, but the counter space seems to be too little. I have the same area of counter space in my 22rb BUT that space is right next to the stove, so it seems like it's more functional. Thanks Josh for another great review.

    Pros: lightweight, the floor plan, the double axle, the theater seats with full reclining, the counter space, road mode access, bathroom pocket door, light interior
    Cons: toilet elbow room, flimsy bedroom privacy curtain (upgrade to heavier blackout), different decor color in dinette area, accordion shades (upgrade to roller shade)

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  8 місяців тому +1

      I think most of the cons you have would be resolved with one of the many laminated versions of this layout. They're mostly symptoms of this one's lower price point
      Fair points though!

    Hi Josh! This is a very nice Jayco! You are right about that in most travel trailers they don’t give you a big kitchen. But this one is a great size. Great counter space. Love the back splash. Bathroom is a decent size. The bedroom is good too. Room to walk around. Nice the storage under the bed has struts. Not to bad. Jayco did well with this floor plan. Thank you Josh!

  • @klasio_susii

    Not a fan of a curtain for the bedroom wall, however, this unit has my attention because of its lighter weight and its price point. I wish it had a fireplace and a removable center arm rest in the theatre seating, but again price point and where would the fireplace fit? It wouldn't. The first thing I would do is add USB ports by the bed sides as you mentioned (I wonder why they missed that), as well as add a true queen mattress. Very limited storage in the bed area. Door fronts overhead of the bed might make that feel like more storage without adding more storage. Looks great empty, but setting clothes in the space above the bed would look cluttered without door fronts. The tipping point for me though is the wood construction. I have experienced problems with this in the past so it's probably the main reason I would be gun shy about this unit. Too bad. The light weight, the price and the layout are great! Thank you for making all of these videos! I'm learning a lot!

    I think I would install a nautilus shower door. We have open linen storage on our Grand design, and it isn't bad. Anything solid goes in the bottom shelf, and a bath towel holds it when we go doen the road.

    Some netting across the front storage cabinet would be nice and not very expensive. No out door kitchen (bummer). Change the shower curtain to a slide and no worry about water on the floor. I agree with you NOBODY wants to think about a place for a waste can. Ours resides in the shower simply cause there is no other place for it. Happy to see the fridge placed amidships rather than on the back wall. Takes less of a beating that way.

    Nothing terribly surprising but nice. Like the fixed bed. Just for something to comment about, I wonder if a radius style sliding door to the bathroom, like an opaque version of the radius shower screens, could give a little more space around the toilet when closed but not take too much space from the kitchen/living area when open.

    OOOHHH, might have just become my favorite model. The wife still wanted a booth dinette but I wanted a couch/theater seating/chairs and with this unit you get both in a very open floor plan that is still completely road modeable (maybe a new nerdism...feel free if you like it. LOL!!). With the tray tables you have the option to sit and enjoy a meal or whatever but can still sit across from each other for meals or to play cards or a game if you want and there is room for a couple of guests to eat without being so close to each other. Nothing I really didn't like about this one.

    I’m not one who typically likes the siding look on stick and tin campers, however the way the interior looks on this one I may be able to overlook it. Definitely a first camper, but is it a second camper purchased the first time around is unclear. Most definitely a good weekend fishing camper. One to add to the ever growing list of 37 worth considering. Glad to see the ladder. Guess a second spare tire will have to be carried in the bed of the truck as the storage isn’t big enough for one. Would it be considered overkill and a waste of money to upgrade the tires to say a G rated or better tire like all the massive 5th wheels have? After all, wouldn’t that make this a safer unit?

      It has EXTREMELY limited inverter prep. There's a loop you can splice into under the driver's side of the bedside stands made for that purpose. It's not well documented what it does sadly

    Could you mention pricing? At least MSRP?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  8 місяців тому

      Pricing can vary greatly by optional equipment and shipping distance. Eastern/Western/Rocky Mountain Editions + Factory shipping to different stores could swing both sale price and MSRP by thousands
      Factory costs change regularly as well so pricing in a video can quickly be outdated and make you feel like you were hit with a bait and switch
      So I leave you links to our site where you can see real pricing any time without needing to call a salesperson. That way you always get current and accurate pricing

    Why do RV builders and dealers knee jerk to have theatre seating? I asked local dealers and their answers uave been this is what we are sent. Josh, is that true? Ive also been told that i have to purchase cuddle compliant seating at my own expense...if that is truly so I'm done and will build an RV that meets my expectations.

      On paper, I think you are within safe specs but it’s the size of the RV versus the truck that concerns me. I think for a local trips over modest terrain it could be OK. But for any sort of distance, I think you would find the trailer pushing the truck around pretty easy
