- Relive the magic of Pink Floyd live performance at Oakland Coliseum on May 9, 1977! From mesmerizing visuals like flying pigs to epic improvisations, this show had it all.
During the Pink Floyd live tour in 1977 (the Wish You Were Here part), “Shine On You Crazy Diamond 6-9” became a highlight with extended guitar solos by David Gilmour and Snowy White.
This guitar cover features David Gilmour's electrifying solo from that unforgettable night. He improvised it during the Part 8 jam session.
Though not a perfect replica, it captures the essence of Gilmour's brilliance. I also strongly encourage you to experience the full concert on UA-cam - it's a must-listen for any music enthusiast, and there are many recordings from that gig available on this platform!
The Pink Floyd live tour in 1977 also became the inspiration behind the groundbreaking album “The Wall,” as Roger Waters reflects on the disconnection between the band and their audience during the big stadium gigs.
Dive into music history and witness the birth of a legendary concept album. Don't wait any longer - hit play and immerse yourself in the magic of Pink Floyd!
Awesome performance, cool strat ❤
Thank you!
Animal Instincts. Love it. The extended jams from the ‘75 and ‘77 are fantastic. Wright letting loose on the keys too!
True, their live performances from 1975 and 1977 were absolutely amazing! The whole band was on fire 😊 Also, Animal Instincts is my favorite bootleg
Great jam!🔥 I love Shine on and I've never heard a version like that!!
Thanks 👍 You should listen to the whole thing - It's on the "Animal Instincts" unofficial live album somewhere here on UA-cam 😊

Thank you! Very interesring perspective 🙂
@@NoStringsAttached_Guitar Gilmour was once described in an article as "the missing link between Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen"
Would you share your backing track ....your jam was just awsome
Yes, no problem and thank you! I'll do that soon 🙂

@@NoStringsAttached_Guitar thank you
brilliant! I've been listening to Animal Instincts, I really love when they jam out like this on these live recordings. what are your pedal settings also did you make the backtracking yourself?
Thank you! I love these extended jams too :) When it comes to my pedal settings: I stacked Boss Blues Driver (gain: 11 o'clock, tone: 10 o'clock, volume: noon) with Boss SD-1 Overdrive (gain: 9 o'clock, tone: noon, volume: between noon & 1 o'clock). Blues Driver is right after the guitar, SD-1 comes next. After the overdrive pedals, I put the big version of the TC Electronics Spark Booster, clean boost mode (level: 2 o'clock, gain: 8 o'clock, slight boost in treble, slight cut in bass). My amp is Laney Cub Head + Laney Cab Cabinet, 1W input (volume: 5, gain: 3, tone: 5, bass: 4, mid: 7, treble: 6, reverb: 3). Hope that will help :) And yes, I did the backing track myself - I tried to get as close to their live performances as possible.
Hi! I know it's been a long time, but maybe you're still interested :) You can download the backing track that I made here:

How did you get that good of a tone?
😂
Thanks for your comment! My amp is Laney Cub Head with Laney Cab. I simply stacked Boss Blues Driver with Boss SD-1, both low gain. After that I had Spark Booster :)
This is snowy white if I’m not mistaken not Gilmour
This is Gilmour, Snowy would play his solos after David during that live performances
