Rob is one remarkable singer, he has been screaming for over 40 years, and still has a quality in his voice,,,,,, plus the band is superb, very few other metal bands can live with Priest
Road trip? Its a song about sex, dude. Except back then, songs were creative. Priest did an awesome job writing about fucking passionately. Listen to the words..sure it uses motorcycle innuendo but its about sex and orgasming together
All I meant is if i was on a road trip I would love to hear this...If you like to consistently listen to only songs about road trips while driving thats weird...
How come nobody else writes it down what is so obvious, consistent, appreciative, loud and envious? You're right! South America, Japan, Wembly and (Buenos Aries) (River Plate) crowds sing every note, know every word and look like their having way more fun than the camera can capture, or had to make it to the floor during editing. Here's to the REAL rockers of this world. We love you for it!
I was racing my buddy's motorbike with a car at 195 kph, and Madonna's "La Isla Bonita" was not the song that popped into my mind the first... You said it, man. Epic. Big time.
Rob Halford has always put on one hell of a show. I have loved the music of Judas Priest for as long as I can remember. When this era is gone it is gone forever. I prey these guys stay in good health for many years to come. God bless.
EVERY single damn time i see a Heavy Metal video filmed in South America the crowd are sick, maximum respect to all you headbangers out there. Keeping it real.
loco hombre I took a look at them on youtube, Thanks, very good, I like it and Old School 4 life and A Super Duper MEN to that. Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Joe Satriani, Megadeth and so many others, A+
i agree 100% you should never use drugs to experience and enjoy music. but when i hear this album for the first time as a 16 year old kid i was stoned and it blow'd my mind. i dont smoke cannabis any more, and i have Jethro Tull to thank for that ;)
l know this song when i was in primary school. bought a KERRANG cassette n this song is one of it. Ahhh memories. good song. now im going to run for cover
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED PRIEST SONG EVER AND YET THE MOST BLASTING ONE FOR THOSE WHO GOT METAL RUNNING INTO THEIR VEINS. IT NEVER, NEVER DIES... 'CAUSE METAL IS OUR RELIGION... METALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
i can't believe people say that Turbo is a bad album i think it one of there best album. And if you wanna experience this album to the fullest Get Stoned and Crank the volume up to 11 and have fun! maybe then you will change your mind
I love this song! it's my favourite of JP 😉 Good lyrics, riff and performance as well, IMO it's the best version ever!😉...1:37 it's the best part of the song! 👌
I picture myself in an old Harley Davidson motorcycle hailing back from WW2 when it finds me and having it magically lifts me into the skies... of Mars.
first time i heard this song was gran turismo 3. great driving song. looked him up and he had the stereotype 80s rock punk look.... fastforward to this.. he still sounds aaesome but man what a difference in appearance. not putting it down, but I didnt expect that
According to their band autobiography when they performed this song (and several others from turbo) live on the Fuel For Life Tour they had a second drummer under the stage to give the songs a fuller drum sound because Dave Holland couldn't play double kicks. What a difference Scott's drumming makes, now if only they would play Out In The Cold, Rock You All Around The World, Locked In, Parental Guidance and Private Property live again so we could hear them.
That was a rumor. It was a joke actually. Now when it came to the Ram It Down Album, they had to bring in a drum machine cos Dave Holland's health was failing at the time.
Hi all, what is Priest doing now? If anything, they have a lot left to give back to make this music world a much better place, I say hey Priest!! come on back, and bring some of the other head knockers with ya, time to take over again!
My crap 2004 dodge caravan rust bucket on wheels decided it wanted to keep my new Rush CD. Guess which was more important to me; a broken car stereo's look...or me getting MY damned Rush CD back, JUST as I was starting to dig how Geddy Lee works around having lost his voice completely.
This was their attempt to go a bit commercial and broaden the acceptance of metal. When I first heard it back in 85/86 I was a bit dissapointed but it grew on me and it a lot of the songs sound awesome live!!
OK I hear this song and picture driving down a dirty road with cars all off to the sides and the sun is setting.I am in a black late 1960's muscle car, Chevelle, Camaro etc...with a massive chrome blower. While zombies are chasing me trying to tear me guts out and feast on them. It is the Apocalypse and I am bringing down the thunder. Fuck I love this song. God I wish the Apocalypse happened in 1987. Then we would not be as fucked as we are today not only in music but politics, and jobs.
Actually, bands with one guitar do have a rhythm during the solo, because they still have bass guitar and drums. But having a second guitarist definitely helps a band's sound when playing live, because there is the rhythm guitarist playing during solos.
Rob is one remarkable singer, he has been screaming for over 40 years, and still has a quality in his voice,,,,,, plus the band is superb, very few other metal bands can live with Priest
One of the Greatest Singers/Performers ever... In any Genre.
Holy crap they nailed this...the sound is crystal and the band is flawless.
This is the best road trip song out there hands down
Road trip? Its a song about sex, dude. Except back then, songs were creative. Priest did an awesome job writing about fucking passionately. Listen to the words..sure it uses motorcycle innuendo but its about sex and orgasming together
jdspreest totally hit the head on the nail.
Actually, it's a song about the twin turbo Porsche of the time.
All I meant is if i was on a road trip I would love to hear this...If you like to consistently listen to only songs about road trips while driving thats weird...
