Great video! One of the best and most comprehensive 'tours' of the caves that I have seen. Your 'Things to Know' and tips are spot on. I have been there numerous times over the years and squeezed into all of the tightest holes including way back into Wye cave and Steel Gate Passage. Glad to see little kids with no fear and loving the experience.
@@OutdoorAdventuresMadeEasy Yes I have, many times, although the last time was almost 30 years ago. The first time I was 16, 1975. There is a very tight belly crawl, just a few feet long, then it opens up really big. It then splits off right and left. Right goes a little way and eventually got just too small to fit through. As I remember, left had more vertical squeezes and more up and down. I believe this is where someone got stuck a few years ago and needed to be rescued. So I don't know what any of Wye Cave looks like now after they had to chip away at the rock and had to get people/equipment back there. I was last in the park just a couple years ago and walked through the main cave. Even after a few floods that left lots of debris in the cave, it has been cleaned out well and still looks like it did in the '70s.
@@OutdoorAdventuresMadeEasy I would say do it! Have fun. Also, more rambling from me, don't read on if you don't want to... on my UA-cam channel, MrKenney0202, I have posted a lot of family vacation videos going back into the 1980s. At the tail end of a 1988 Utah vacation I tacked on my only attempt to video in Steel Gate Passage and Wye Cave. It is pretty bad, just one dim flashlight and an ancient video camera. In 2017 we did a cave crawling tour in Canada. That looks a lot better. I also have a video of a recent walk through Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. A must see if you like caves.

I am glad you enjoyed it! Have you been to the back of Wye Cave? I have never attempted it!

Yes! That sounds exactly like what I have read. After hearing someone got stuck, I have always been too worried to try it! Maybe next time I go!
