- Use approximately 13 by 11 pan
1 boxed Angel Food cake mix
2 21 oz canned apple pie filling or filling of your choice
Mix ingredients and place into greased baking dish. Place in 350 degree oven for 38-45 minutes and bake until golden brown.

I made this year's ago when I was on Weight Watchers. I sprinkled the top with cinnamon sugar. Served with vanilla ice cream, delicious.

Thanks. I always wondered if you could use angel food cake instead of yellow cake mix, but I never knew about mixing it together (rather than dumping the mix on top) and I didn't think about it rising so much. Will give it a try!

OMG you must try the Wal Mart brand of Chocolate Chip Cookies. I don't eat cookies as a rule but the 'Crispers' are out of this world good. I've bought packages for neighbors and family members I thought they were so good. Everyone is raving about them! Wal Mart has some of the best products.

What a simple, delicious recipe! Even with a regular dump cake you need at least butter, and usually a couple more ingredients. This is simply amazing! I’m going to try adapting it for my air fryer just for fun and convenience: they make surprisingly delicious cakes!

I used 1 entire can of crushed pineapple, when I used my Bundt pan. However, I will use 2 entire cans of fruit when I use the 11”x 14” larger pan. .

This is fast, easy, and is such a winner for a quick dessert. I do not think you have to frost or top it with anything but whipped cream or ice cream. Thanks, it actually looks better done with a box of angle food rather than regular box cake mix. Lighter so you can eat more. LOL Thanks for the video. I make a similar cake with just one 15 ounce can of crushed pineapple. I follow the recipe on the box except for replacing the liquid with the pineapple. I use an ordinary angel food cake pan without greasing, and I bake as directed. Ite yummy with whipped cream and strawberries! ~ Anastacia in Cleveland

I tried to make this with the angel food cake mix and a mixed berry pie filling. It didn't turn out well, but tasted good. I'll try to make a different dump cake next time. Like the consept!

Where have you been, this has been around for years, I've made it with cherries, peaches, blueberries, strawberries, mulberries and nectarines. But I use a little butter in the bottom of my pan and a little spenda in my cake mix. Either way it comes out great.
@Goldie Gill She didn’t say it was new to her. As a matter of fact, I got the impression that she has been making it for years.
She also uses butter in the bottom of the pan. Also, asking “where have you been” implies that the op is somehow living under a rock. Everyone is new to something at many points in their life.. I haven’t been under a rock for 43 years and I haven’t ever heard of anything called a “dump cake”. I am not ashamed. Lastly, I can name many things that you havet heard of or come across, that other people have been aware of for *hundreds* of years.
I’m just saying: let’s be courteous, not critical.
