Thanks so much for the comment mate!! It's crazy how well it works eh 🤣. Glad it worked for you as well tho. Feel free to check out my other tutorials on fish butchering etc if you fish as well 🤙🙏
Fair enough mate!! There are plenty of items that sharpen knives eh as long as your method works for you that's awesome 😊 this trick works best for me that's for sure haha!
i was lazy, i took a very old solid wood thread spool that i had in basement and took a strip of purple 600 sand paper and glued it to spool then put it on a long screw and nut and put that on my cordless drill, and made sure it was spinning away from knife ... it sharpened my kitchen knife in no time all. now i want to attach the spool to a weed whacker motor somehow and use it that way as a full time knife tool sharpener.
Greetings from Orange County California. A little late to this party, but if you're still there I have a question; Checking out these various sharpening videos you have one person that swears you should only move the blade forward on your sharpening surface. The next guy swears you should only pull it backwards. And a third guy swears it doesn't make any difference, as long as you have the right angle, you can go forward and backward and all-around. What is the straight dope?
Haha I'm no expert mate but the pro knife maker who showed me did both. Thinking about it, it makes sense only going 1 way may improve the edge very slightly. However, I'm no chef nor butcher haha and I would assume only sharpening one-way takes longer than back & forth (which is already a bit slow anyway); hence, for someone at home who just wants blimen sharp knives, I'd try my way first, then move to single and see if there's any difference? 🤷♂️ also appreciate the comment and if ya like fishing and hunting please check out my other videos 🙏
Depends on the blade eh as you're altering the angle it becomes stuck then you drop it slightly more than that and sharpen. Well that's what I was taught anyway and it's worked pretty well some knives have much lower angles for sure
That sure is effective. Tried it a couple of times on my knives and worked really well, thanks for the tutorial.

Hahaha that's awesome!! Only thing I'd be careful of is wearing down the blade quickly 🤙🤙

I hope so! Not sure how relative that is to knife sharpening but appreciate the comment all the same 🤣🤙
If on your journey you should encounter God, God will be cut!
But only if you knife is sharp.
Looks way too steep angle
