Looks like between two bodies of water the earthen ground strip that supported the railway was so saturated with water (rainfall & lakes) the rail(s) bed simply gave way

The drone footage shows the damage & the large area impacted by the derailment.
Were the crew ok ..?
Yes. there was no serious injuries. The engineer was taken to the hospital

Another fine mess to clean up.........just minor owwwies on the crew?
Did the loco go half way into the forest when it derailed? Unpleasant experience to see trees approching I suppose.
@Stefan_Boerjesson It looks like it. It's not something I would want to see as an engineer.
@@arocho38 I've only faced the picture of it on a slippery country road in winter. Not driving trains but a 17 ton, 15 meter three axle bus.
