I did this video just to explain the basics of a paraglider reserve - PLEASE NOTE THAT EACH RESERVE IS DIFFERENT
Its well worth throwing your reserve before repack. Get to know your kit, know where the line is to collapse it when you have landed. This alone could prevent serious injury or even death.

The cool thing about the paragliding school I went to (one of the many cool things) is that if we ever have to throw our reserve they will give us a new handle and deployment bag, it’s kinda an incentive to use our reserve if we need to. When in doubt throw it out.

It ok not broke free because I want using a specialist strap mate . It won’t do that for real
A good idea perhaps is to write your contact info on the bag. That way if someone else finds it you have a chance of getting it returned.

why isnt the inside container attached to the reserve parachute
This is because it may cause issues with the reserve deploying. The whole idea I think is to keep it super simple.. Get the reserve into the airflow as fast as possible 😁
