Hello friend and customers of Towersey
As you will no doubt know (I’ve gone on about it enough!) These are very hard times for the UK festival industry, as well as many other creative arts industries.
In 2023, thirty-six festivals were cancelled and may never come back. So far, this year we have lost some 38 more!
With your help, we have guided Towersey through two cancelled years due to COVID and two festival since then that have been really tough to navigate due to increasing pressures on budgets. We have taken pay cuts and freezes, reduced costs where we can, begged, borrowed and created to deliver amazing festivals for those of you that joined us…..but we need more of you to come!
Right now, we’re seeing increases in the costs of staging and promoting the festival that go way beyond anything we have seen before.
Everything from infrastructure to artist fees, diesel fuel, lighting, PA, and so on - without compromising health, safety and comfort.
Towersey, has very little in the way of sponsorship, which is all but impossible to get for a grass roots event like ours at the moment.
No big underwriters and commercial investors…just you wonderful folks who support our work every year.
The fact is that if we have one more year where the festival see’s losses, it will be the end of the road and right now we are simply not selling enough tickets (very few events and music events are)
So, what can you do?
Many of you have been before, experience amazing Festivals and making memories that will stay with you forever.
You come with three or even four generations together to celebrate;
You Festival solo, meet and make lifelong friends.
You dance, listen, sing, learn, share and PARTY. You came as Children, youths, adults, parents and grandparents.
For some of you this might be your first Towersey, or you might be considering making it your first….in which case, don’t delay!
At just over £3 an hour for 4 days and nights of entertainment, music, and magic, Towersey is incredible value for your summer fix of music culture and connection.
So, here’s what you can do right now!
Well first of all…. BOOK for yourself.
Then reach out to a friend, extended family, neighbours, workmates and more.
Share the stories of the magical place that you make your own each August Bank Holiday.
Share how the festival gives you that fix your need each year. That dose of community spirit; escapism; life affirming music, culture, and friendship.
If every one of you manages to bring just one more person, then we will have sold enough tickets to make the festival work this year.
Your love of Towersey, and to our collective community is the strongest connection imaginable and it’s what has kept us going through these tough years.
So, this is me and the whole team asking for your help now to introduce more people to our amazing event and make this, our 60th celebration a huge success.
It really is a question of use it or lose it!
This year’s line up really is an incredible, eclectic mix with a real focus on quality, diversity and absolute bangers.

EDIT: Was supportive but all camping-included tickets are sold out it seems? Not sure how I'd attend otherwise, not clear on the site.
