Going to Breckenridge in January! Hoping for some sick snow
Be bold, start cold! California resorts need more uphill access. My first trial w/ the gear was to go up the cross-country/snowshoe course at Northstar. Uphill was fine, but my downhill issue was in wanting more forward lean.
The amount of « trying our gear before actually going.. » is insane

Hey Johnathan! I am super stoked for my second ever snowboard trip, this time to Steamboat Springs after Christmas, and wanted to ask if you can make a beginner park how-to. I picked up riding and turns last year on my first trip and got the confidence to try the park, but quickly found my park feature approaches were poor, leading to sketchy slides and few landed tricks. I want to work on small jumps and slides(50/50 and front board) this year, and a tips video would be super helpful. Stay awesome!

highly recommend soft shell pants for touring. They breathe better and give better mobility
I kinda want to get a split board and get avalanche certified, but I bought 3 new boards for this season so I'll probably stick to the lifts 😅🤣😂

I used to find your videos informative, particularly about resort information, current conditions, etc. I recently found out about the fact you call yourself a pro snowboarder and I have lost all respect.
I understand you are out there living your best life and doing what you enjoy and that’s great, but you are not a professional snowboarder and calling yourself such is disrespectful to the snowboarding community and to actual professionals who make their living solely based off their incredible skill and accomplishments as an athlete. I also think that’s it sends a poor message to your audience and followers.
Arguing the definition of a professional is semantics and therefore the defense of “depends on your definition of a professional” has also led to me losing respect.
A professional in this industry performs at the highest level of skill and risks their lives for any mix of progression, competition, entertainment, and passion. They are the 1% and because of that they can make a living through endorsements and sponsorships, they do not require UA-cam or merchandise or anything along those lines. If we were to remove those things entirely then many of the professional snowboarders would still be able to make a living because their skill level and performance is at such an incredibly high level, all they would need to do is snowboard. If we remove those things from you then there is no income or career.
You are a very good snowboarder. You have a large following because of your personality and skill level, and you motivate a lot of people to get out there and ride, but you are not a “pro snowboarder” and I just don’t understand why you feel the need to refer to yourself as such, it’s a giant slap in the face to the snowboarding industry and to the professionals who have dedicated their lives to make a career solely based off the incredible skill levels they possess.
I hope you understand I am not hating, I am more so disappointed then anything else because up until a few minutes ago I enjoyed watching your content.
I'm glad to hear others feel the same about the whole "professional" argument. Its definitely disrespectful. You can call him a professional Content creator but not a professional snowboarder.
