I have this diesely sound as well when hot. If you up the revs it disappears. Do we need to change the complete timing chain or just the tensioner, guider?

Tiszta uj es amiota az van rajta zakatol. Meg neztem es nagyhon szoros a lanc, talan azert zakatolna ? A mi volt rajta csak alig 5000-10000km. Mit gondolsz ? Csereljem vissza a regit ? Az is jo volt csak gondoltam ha minden uj legyen a lanc is uj. A regi lanc is kisse szoros volt de nem zakatolt. Minden ki van cserelve ujbol a lanc-on kiveul es melegen a keceges meg van.
You ALWAYS change it with your cam belt / timing chain, a simple no brainer. If it goes after change your timing chain, you can pay for the work all over again.
It's most likely the Astra G Classic (manufactured in Poland and sold in less prosperous countries in eastern and southern Europe), which was a cheaper option after Astra H was introduced and the engines including this and Z16XEP were "transplanted" from H to G

Do you need to change the water pump?
You ALWAYS change it with your cam belt / timing chain, a simple no brainer. If it goes after change your timing chain, you can pay for the work all over again.
Just done timing chain waterpump and when started quiet but when accelerate it sounds like a hoover
