Jason was the best. Artistry, creativity, originalty and individuality. Not just jumping with some fill in. This is what skating is today. Bring back the fun, conveyance of feelings and authenticity that takes your breath away. Like the Torville and Dean era .
Figure skating is supposed to be an athletic sport. Jason's musicality is truly amazing -- that's why he ranks at the very top of all the no-quad skaters in the world -- but that shouldn't be enough to beat skaters like Nathan and Vincent, who regularly land 6-7 quads in a competition. Tell Jason to include that many quad attempts in his programs. Of course it would be a miserable splat-fest. I wonder how "artistic" his performance will look like then.
