Beautiful performance. You can tell Mariah truly loves the sport and she is a joy to watch. I’d rather watch a performance like this than a program full of quads with poor technique and falls all over the ice and 2 foot landings. Camila Valieva was caught doping. She can’t be the only one, especially not from Eteri’s girls. That woman destroys these young girls bodies. One of her students has permanent back issues. Give me a beautiful performance over poorly executed quads any day. In my opinion, quads are just a piece of show off acrobatics. When landed, they’re beautiful. I don’t think they’re needed for a good performance though and it is a shame they are needed to be competitive because I think quads are ruining figure skating. Only a handful of women can do quads with proper technique and no falls. Quads can’t be practiced regularly or you will severely injure your back. Eteri’s girls start rotating before they even leave the ice. Their technique is poor. There is a reason her girls are one and done. Mariah is still skating at 27. Many are not and there’s a reason for that, especially from Eteri’s girls. That woman should be banned from coaching. Bring back the days of beautiful spiral sequences over these dumb quads. I’m loving all the armchair figure skaters here. I’d love to see you try what Mariah does and then you will understand how very difficult figure skating is. Not everyone can do it especially on an elite level. Figure skating is not as easy as it looks or everyone would make it to the Olympics. Mariah may not be as strong technically as others, but I find her beautiful to watch. Her music selections are intense and wonderful, she skates to them beautifully. It isn’t all about the medals. Some people skate because they really love the sport and shouldn’t be criticized, especially when you can’t even attempt to do what Mariah does.

Surely one of the most bland and uninteresting Choreographies He's ever had. And that says a lot. Still mindblown that this could receive anything above a 75 in PCS (and that still taking into consideration his reputation and titles) if any other skater had performed this it wouldn't get above 60. As for his jumps I do think that they habe gotten better in Quality over the years but ok this occasion they were particulary shaky, hab not transitions, no flow, no rythm etc.

a lot of arguing in this comment section and im here for it. but lemme put my take out there. lets give these russians 1-2 years and then see whos better, alysa or them. i argue against the russians, theyre gonna lose their quads, be diagnosed for an eating disorder, and have a severe injury to their back causing them only being able to jump salchows and toeloops. history repeats itself people, these russians are gonna stay on top for one more season before we’re out w the old and in w the new. watch.
