- The 62nd in my Retro Goa Explorations series of videos in which I present some of my favourite 'Goa Trance' tracks from the '90s.
In this series, I go back to my first experiences in the Goa Trance electronic dance music movement starting in late 1994, drawing upon my recollections of hearing specific music at certain events and using my classical music background explore the elements that I believe make these tracks so great.
The series is currently focused on music I first encountered in the '96-97 season, starting in September 1996, when I moved to London. I first heard the track from this episode when Tsuyoshi opened his set in Paris with it in mid-to-late January 1997 and again at a huge party in Tokyo in February 97, prior to its release - a truly phenomenal collaborative production by Jean Borelli and Sid Shanti: Conspiracy Theory's Project Oblivion. After I share some background about the track, I present my observations about the music while it plays; I then give a few closing comments before presenting the whole production on its own without any commentary.
A couple of sets where I included this track (one before Prana's Indigo remix, the other after - great pairing!):

Helloooo
Pretty sure I’ve roared A-YA-YA-YA-YA to this one more than once. Karaoke goa? This track feels a lot like it could have been on the third order odonata.
