OBI WAN!!!
Darth Vader pulled a Darth Maul XD
@@AnotherStarWarsPodcast *KENOBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!*
Actually no, the next thing is not until September, but in August, with Andor.
more like Obi-WON, amirite?
OBI WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!
“You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker, I did.” is one of the top 10 lines in Star Wars history. Fight me,.
Heartbreaking.
It matches up with what he says to Ahsoka in Rebels, and for once, isn't blaming anyone else for it unlike the 'I am what you made me' stuff.
As a life long Star Wars fan, I agree. Even the line "I am not your failure Obi-wan" is such a powerful line and completely redefines their relationship in the OT. That whole scene is top 5 in SW history...fight me! Lol
Along with “I am not your failure, Obi Wan.”
I will, because calling that line “top 10” is an unforgivable insult to its sublime glory.
This episode did more for the character of Vader than any movie or show. Up to now, they just told us how he was feeling... here, you can see the pain, madness and hate in his eyes... even the regret. This was excellent writing and brilliantly acted. Possibly the best acting in any SW show or movie ever.
🤔.....arguably one of the most dramatic scenes in television history....
hyperbole aside it was a fantastic scene, and I find it interesting that it really cemented their relationship at the core of everything. In a weird way it kind of pushed Luke off-stage, but even that I actually think was almost good. Rather than being Vader's sort of 'destined' opponent like he felt in the originals, this kind of positions him as the x-factor. If Anakin and Obi-wan's relationship is at the core of everything, Luke is now the X-factor that is able to change the calculus by existing. To redeem his father and do what Obi-wan couldn't. Really it elevates the whole central drama.
@@KaleRylan 🤔......I said this elsewhere that I find it funny some people complaining about Obi-Wan not killing Vader. His personal reasons aside, if he killed Vader, the Emperor would just get another apprentice, and the new apprentice would show Luke no mercy.
I honestly liked that Qui-gon didn’t show up until the end. It wasn’t until Obi-wan was completely at peace with himself that he saw his old master.
ObiWan saying "Im Sorry Anakin... for all of it" Broke me and i shed real tears.
Vader and Obi-Wan’s duel was so full of references. I cried when Vader said it was him who killed Skywalker, then smirked.
So heartbreaking. I really liked that dialogue too. Also Ewan's acting was wonderful.
Which makes the line, "From certain point of view", make sense.
Also after Obi-Wan says "my friend is truly dead", and afterwards refers to him exclusively as "Darth," which carries over to the first films.
@@jspres86 that was a clever fix to the continuity error
Lol worst fight scene ever in total darkness.
Disney are schmucks 😂😂😂
When Vader says **"I am not your failure"** , his face is covered in blue light as if Anakin Is accepting the apology from Obi wan . Then his face turns red , when Vader returns with darkness . This was so symbolising in a way that even though He's Darth Vader there's is still some Anakin left in him only those who really know him can take out .(Another instance Ashoka ) and Finally Master Qwai Gon for 5secs after two and a half decades
Overally what a great short series which greatly connects the events , also keeping the characters comically accurate . I will be not mad or sad if we don't get a season 2 .
Loved your reaction and review
An unexpected mercy on Anakin's part ... and yes, the color use was such a richly beautiful cue to an amazing scene.
Pretty much, this is the most heartbreaking scene I've ever seen in a star wars film (the convo between Anakin and Obiwan). It's really well done and very well acted, but my god, it's brutal to see.
I agree as it shows how Anakin is trapped under the personification of Lord Vader. It just makes the whole thing more tragic while also establishing what Obi-Wan tells Luke in the original trilogy about Vader and Anakin.
Vader's broken helmet with Anakin's voice, Vader's voice and distorsion in between. Gave me chills.
Man the interlacing of Hayden Christensen and James Earl Jones voices is so eerie and awesome.
When I tell you I burst into tears that's an understatement of the century 😂 when he said "Anakin's gone" I just lost it 😂
This fight was so hilarious for me because of this one clone wars episode😂
"You dont suppose it was... hit by a rock, do you?"
Omg. XD great callout!
The Vader ObiWan duel was epic! Everything from the rocks to the destruction of the helmet! Had Ashoka vibes! The finale was perfect! Even had the “hello there!”
I cannot BELIEVE he said 'Hello There' I should've seen that coming 🤣
@@AnotherStarWarsPodcast I was clapping!! I was so happy!! I would have been flat out disappointed if they left out that iconic line out. But it was perfect with Luke! Better there than with Frec(k)
It was shit and pointless and cheapens the rest of the movies
"He did the thing!" and "He said the thing" Those were my words exactly!
Considering that Obi-Wan is merciful, I think the Reva decision makes sense. He killed Maul because, in the moment Maul realized *why* Obi-Wan was there, he became a threat. He spared Reva, because by the time Obi-Wan could do anything, the threat had passed and he knew that if she was ever going to go after Luke, she would have done the deed already. He couldn’t make that leap of faith with Maul
It’s brilliant they only used these musical cues now. In episode 6. It makes them more meaningful and impactful and leads up to New Hope
I think "I am not your failure..." was the most important thing for Obi-wan to hear.
Obi-Wan is really 2-0 against prime Darth Vader that just shows how powerful Obi-Wan is
I mean he did get destroyed by vader in their previous duel in this show.
So it's more of a 2-1. But I get you're point.
Obi-Wan is and has always been, the GOAT!
@@tailssonicteam1604 He was unbalanced then, and tried to make the correct decision to run like he did when Maul returned.
@@Aaron722076 Obi-Wan outsmarted Maul the previous year before ANH, I'm sure he'd still give Vader a fight then had he wanted to. Thats not to say he'd win it, sure, but its not a foregone conclusion Vader would win either.
@@tailssonicteam1604 Actually it's more like 1-2 and that is because Obi-Wan kind of used anger/rage to beat Vader and Obi-Wan stooping down to Vader's Level which Luke did the same in Return Of The Jedi doesn't count as a total win when both gave into the Anger/Hate to beat and damage Vader to the point of almost killing Vader that is why Obi-Wan left Vader standing there because Obi-Wan realized he had just crossed that Darkside Line like how Luke also realized he did the same before throwing his lightsaber to the side then getting lit up like time square
The musical cues were left out until then because Obi-Wan was disconnected from the force and once he reconnected fully it was approriate. Darth was not fully who he was until after the battle so the imperial march was not in effect until then.
Melissa, I think that everyone who truly loves Star Wars got emotional over the scene where Anakin and Obi-Wan are talking and Anakin comes through for a few moments. By the way, you looked beautiful.
I don't love Star Wars at all. But that particular moment transcended Star Wars, and just became a great moment of story and character acting. So, I teared up too.
15:24 This is now one of my most favorite lines in the entire Star Wars saga! As a prequel fan, it always emotionally hits me in the heart every time I hear that, all the time!
He calls him Darth. "Obi-Wan once thought as you do" = Obi-Wan once also believed Anakin was alive
The music explanation. Vader as a Example wasn't fully Darth until Obi Wan gave up on him the music came in when he was fully formed . Lea became the person she was in her last scene. Most of their music cues came when they came full circle . As A Star Wars Nut since 1977 this series to me explained so many things. Why in New Hope did Obi say Darth Killed Anakin, because Vader did kill him . Explains the big lie . Obi Wan from that point forward called him Darth. As far as the writing ? You need to watch this as one show, ups and downs. Star Wars has had bad writing for years the content has always over come that. Just listen to the Original cast talk about the Lucas writing. This was a Amazing series and I wouldn't change a thing.
@Lialexen To quote Harrison Ford "You can type this S@it But you can't say it . :)
@Lialexen But please don't get me wrong it is the story that matters . Remember when Ahsoka was introduced she was not embraced by the fan base but with time and development now she is beloved. I sometimes think fans expect a fully developed person from Hello use Reva as a example we have slowly seen her grow and I believe we have just started her story . I in this series got to see a side of Uncle Owen that I never have seen . He was just a mean parent until this series . Now I have a entire new prospective of him. He loves and wants to Protect Luke instead of just needing a "free worker " like He was shown in New Hope. There has been so much shown and revealed in this series that I have seen and just loved. It was So freaking good and the weekly nit picking has killed me . Like people said to Anakin "Patience Young Padawan " Seeing this as a complete series has been a game changer
Eh that's not actually accurate? I mean, they tied things up in the new movies and shows like this to fix the problems created in the beginning. Kenobi called him Darth in Episode 4 because the rest of the story and universe hadn't been fleshed out yet. That actually WAS his name in the beginning. Then they changed it and "Darth" became a title. So, by putting that in this series, they've done a retcon and fixed it.
@Lialexen But neither was it corny or hollow.
@@stern12akachris32 Harrison Ford was not talking about all the dialogue. Only the wordy ones.
The musical cues only coming back here at the end works in the sense that Kenobi found what he lost and shed the guilt. He was finally a Jedi again, he had hope again, and it was finally "Star Wars" again. If that makes any sense.
"why are they only using it now?" - the same reason why you don't eat chocolate for breakfast, lunch & dinner!! Would be cheap & grow tiresome quite fast. It's so much more rewarding when you have to wait for it.
"I don't have such weaknesses"- I say as I eat M&Ms for breakfast 🤣
There’s a difference between using it scarcely to preserve its value and choosing it literally not use it at all until one scene at the very end. Yes, it may have felt rewarding, but it was overshadowed by a feeling of “why wasn’t this played during any other major moment”. Nobody’s asking to play the imperial March every time Vader is on screen, just during the important moments (not just one). That is quite literally the importance of a leitmotif, it is consistently (but not overly) played to characterize someone’s action or development arc.
*brought to tears*
“I don’t feel like we got Vader pay off, kind of anticlimactic.”
What.
I know I found that bizarre too as did I find her other comments. In my mind I thought this was a flawless episode
When Vader gets into a defensive stance after Kenobi’s initial assault in the beginning it shows he’s adapting and surprised by the ferocity of Kenobi’s attacks after absolutely manhandling him in the first duel he had in the series.
The episode tore me up inside and it makes Vader’s / Anakin’s redemption in vi so much better.
I loved the whole show, but I thought the finale was next level amazing! I too wish there has been a padme reference. When vader said ‘you didnt kill anakin skywalker…i did’-CHILLS! And palpatine and quigon showing up was amazing!!
12:31 - "I hate that that's Anakin."
Well put! The Skywalker saga evokes so many emotions, it is truly a masterpiece. George is a Genius.
There's a story that nobody ever expected "I'll be back" to become Arnold Schwarzenegger's catch phrase after the Terminator movies because it was such a nothing throwaway line. For years, the future screenwriters tried to come up with a simpler, more innocuous throwaway line to become his next iconic catch phrase, and they never found that magic again.
I love, LOVE that George Lucas's simple line, "hello there" in Episode IV-not a film, or a screenwriter, known for brilliant dialogue-has superseded that simple line as the simple line that earns this much fan love.
That rematch went hard! The Obi Wan vs Darth Vader we needed! a great pace and hard hitting even that half Mask Anakin connection with Obi-Wan made me Cry 🥺
I loved those few surprises at the end too!
All round Amazing show! Easily one of my favorite Star Wars series.
They really did the scene with the unmasked Vader really well. Absolutely devastating how he says "Anakin is gone" in Hayden's voice.
"You went for your droid instead of Obi-Wan?"
Well, yeah. I mean, 10-year-old kid. :D
Ha, that's so true. Still. My man needs a hug like every 20 seconds. 😂
@@AnotherStarWarsPodcast Everyone should get regular hugs. Especially when needed.
@@AnotherStarWarsPodcast Hehe Leia was always a cheeky wee git! The kid who played her was absolutely brilliant in the series. They nailed her casting.
May the force be with you.
Musical Cues .... The Theme Music is there to express when the Character is in they Purpose or Destiny... So when Vader summits to the Emperor, Leia takes on the place of Princess, Obi-wan comes into his full power and is free from the guilt over the training of Anakin... When we get to New Hope you will here Luke's Theme...
This isn’t true. While leitmotifs and broader themes may be used during moments where a character is “in they purpose or destiny”, it may also be seen personifying character’s choices, development, actions, and tragedies. It also can be used to foreshadow ahead before a character even reaches “they purpose or destiny”. This is why the leitmotif commonly known as “Vader’s Theme” is utilized in the prequels during key moments of Anakin’s path towards his fall from the light. It may also be used to add emphasis to flashbacks or mentions of characters and events long after their time. Musical themes and scoring in general are a lot more complex than just representing a character in their prime. Look up interviews from John Williams describing the origins and purposes of his themes, as well as how he uses them, and you’ll see what I’m referring to. I’m a composer and study this stuff.
The way they mixed Anakin's and Vader's voices during that scene was haunting. It was like Anakin had one last chance to redeem himself and he chose not to.
Damn. Never thought about it like that. Makes it more heartbreaking. Also makes sense that's how he would think with the "it's too late for me Son" he never thought he was worthy
Vader: "When I left you, I was but a learner, But now I!m a master."
Obi.Wan: "Nope, I was left you, after I beat shit out of your body............twice."
@Lialexen Yep..but still ..it's exuces like lost Stanley Cup final 4-0 and talk shit to the media about how worst team won, we had bad luck, blah blah blah
Kenobi beat him and if he wanted, he easily can kill hiim...twice
I'm happy that the show wasn't drenched in the force theme or imperial march. More weight to it when it finally is implemented.
This was the best episode ever and I loved it so much 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
So glad they landed the ending with a gut punch of a duel. Ewan and Hayden really delivered at the end. Great to see so many legacy characters return with the special cameo at the end. Wish I could care about the new characters so much. I don't want a S2 this fits perfectly into a new hope.
Does not mean that I wouldn't be against Obi Wan popping up in Andor for example but I don't see a good story going forward for S2
@Another Star Wars Podcast_ - beautifully stated about "Asoka and Ben each getting the left and right side of Anakin's face under the helmet but Luke fully remove the helmet and brought Anakin back to the light." I never thought about it that way but I agree with you 100% with that metaphor.
I teared up too. Tragic.
My wife be like, There is lego and all these kids toys all over the carpet! Me: I'm sorry.. I'm sorry Jane for all of it!
I was waiting for your reaction. Awesome as usual Melissa. Now to await Matt's.
With the musical cues I noticed that Vader's music sounded almost like the Imperial March but wasn't quite done throughout the series until this episode. So the A New Hope musical cues popping up in this episode makes sense since that is what should come next after this series IMO
YOU: "That's all this show needed to do...Hello there!"
ME: "Well, you say that....
Yes they know how to write vader and thats why he needs his own six episode series and also qui-gon needs this.
This just shows they didn't try with Luke.
Viewers: man UA-cam recommendations are being boring lately
Kenobi Clips: *Hello There!*
I think they left the musical cues out on purpose because Obi Wan was lost for a lot of the show. But once he's found himself again truly the music returns as well. :) makes it so much better. Plus it feels like we're going into A New Hope now
I love this show, flaws and all.
Major Star Wars Rebels Twilight of the Apprentice vibes this episode.
6:11 "He did the thing!'
17:16 "He said the thing!"
That's why I love this episode! 😁
I was surprised to see that Reva survived through the end of the series.
I didn’t like that.
Kenobi managed to reach out to someone who was lost and pushed her towards path of redemption. I think it was really beautiful.
I'm not surprised, since apparently you can be impaled through the stomach infinite times with a lightsaber and survive as long as you patch yourself up. Yet qui Gon jinn died being impaled just once.
@Lialexen I already knew all of that, it's just annoying how they're now letting multiple people survive what would seem like a fatal blow. Idk it just kinda takes away from the story to have someone survive, and multiple times since Reva was also impaled as a youngling, a blow that should just be a death blow
It was an odd choice!
"I'm so surprised they haven't used the Vader motif in this show, not once..."
Saving it for when he is finally, fully Vader - he lets go of his obsession and gives himself fully to his new Master and becomes part of the Empire.
I really love your Kenobi, Ahsoka and Luke Metaphor....wow
😊
This has so many twilight of the apprentice references and I love it!!
Emotional damage! Anakin's dialogue in that scene hit me like a ton of bricks.
Maybe a tad too much, but who cares, its still great Star Wars.
Not only did he say hello there, but he said it like Sir Alec Guinness
11:19 I'm sorry, Anakin, I failed you and Master Qui Gon.
I dont understand why so many people find it weard that they only used the starwars music in the last episode?Thats because you have to see this six episode series as a full movie and they wanted to wait till the end to lett the most famous tunes out.It was verry well done in my opinion cause this way you will want to see this series over and over again.I know i wil.MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU ALL HERE.Till the next series ANDOR
so emotional episode, love this feeling
Ben - the goat. Awesome.
I appreciate that Obi-Wan finally resorted to something like the rock barrage, and when he did it, it came off as "If you're going to fight dirty, at least do it correctly, Anakin."
Luke did already know about Obi Wan before he met him, as explained in A New Hope. "Maybe she means old ben, crazy hermit who lines in the dune sea" as I recall
About the scene with Qui-gon.. I feel it is perfect, actually. We already knew that Obi-wan had received a manner of training from Yodi, regarding how to 'commune' with Qui-gon. We saw his attempts at this throughout the series. He was just not in the right place, in his mind and heart.
Obi-wan, reclaiming his purpose in the Force (with Leia's help) and finally receiving closure with Anakin, had attained that inner peace, which had been missing. I feel those moments were essential in allowing him to see, hear, and talk to Qui-gon.
You actually started sweating when Quigon showed up 😂 that was the chefs kiss on top of so many chefs kisses of an freaking episode. Can't even blame you. My jaw was as low as yours 😂
When you see how Owen and Beru defend Luke in this makes you ponder how many storm troopers the took with them in new hope
The show stick the landing. Sometimes that’s what matters.
For those who felt bad for Vader. Remember he snapped a kids neck a few episodes ago.
He did a lot of worse things in the comics. Even if he managed to survive "Return of the Jedi", the rebels, as well as the entire galaxy wouldn't be so forgiving, not even Tatooine would keep him safe.
i fan boid in my reaction yo vaders face got to me hard core
it's good that they used the themes only at the end. it has more meaning and impact that way! Besides the Vader theme has a pretty cool reason why it's not played sooner. Vader wasn't fully "Vader" There was still a conflict in him. But after the fight and after he talked with palps he let Anakin die once and for all. That's the point Anakin became fully Darth Vader. And that's where they played the imperial march.
I totally agree anakin still called obi-wan master. Also obi-wan wasn't obi-wan he was ben at the beginning. Leia was not princess Leia until the end because she felt a separation for her adopted family, so she was not princess leia. Finally reva was not an inquisitor she was an young ling searching for revenge. They all didn't because who they really are until the end.
And THIS is why Obi-Wan is a Jedi Master. Along with Yoda probably one of the Strongest. Vader, even at his strongest, is no match for him.
I enjoyed obi wan . The best parts are with obi wan and anikan / vader , they have been something really special for me as a Star Wars fan . Great review.
The music in the beginning you said you liked is the music from The Empire Strikes Back.
This was just another instance of Anakin peeking through Vader. "I am not your failure, Obi Wan. You didn't kill Anakin Skywalker, I did" Comforts his old master while also taking the blame for his choices. Then retreats back into Vader right afterwards.
The Dark side really is a helluva drug.
Best reaction ever 2 "hello there" 🤣 omg
The musical cues are placed where they correspond to the script. This is his theme music's time to shine.
OBI WAN!!!!!! - Vader
KENOBIIIIIIII!!!!!!! - Maul
I've yet to see a reaction video or comments on it that note young Luke's reaction to Uncle Owen about an impending threat that he doesn't understand..."I'm not afraid"...as he later says to Yoda on Dagobah, which ties into every characters' perception of Anakin. Obi-Wan states as much when saying goodbye to Leia. It's such a small thing, easily overlooked, yet it subtly underscores every OT reference to Anakin with regard to Luke and how much he is like his father. Just a thought.
I LOVED this, I wish it was a bit longer so it didn't feel as packed in but what great content. This episode alone pulled it all together for me.
I feel like the music being saved for the end made them more impactful than if we'd heard them over and over in every episode.
I also feel like Qui-Gon and Yoda probably figured out how to maintain a visual form after joining the Force.
Reva's arc should have ended in her death. She made peace with herself, and who she was - made the choice not to kill Luke, and then perishes. Having her live on knowing both Leia and Luke are Skywalkers? That doesn't seem right. The Empire will be hunting her, and who will ever trust her outside of it? And if they ever catch up with her it's just too risky.
I agree. It's hard to see her staying alive with the knowledge she has and her prior track record of murdering people, lol. It would've been really interesting if her hate was the only thing keeping her alive, and only when she turns does she surrender herself to the force and then quietly dies. That would've felt more powerful, I think.
She doesn't know they are Skywalkers. Obi-wan was tied to Bail Organa, and Leia was his adopted daughter, that's why Leia was kidnapped. Luke is just a "boy" mentioned in a static-filled message. While they didn't make it clear, I assume Reva went after Luke as revenge against Kenobi. Why the boy mattered, she would not know.
One of the most sincere reactions I’ve seen to that scene 👏🏻
6:12- I also said "HE DID THE THING!"
7:39- And now Vader has the high ground.
9:26- HOLY POODOO!
11:42- I know, right?
12:28- BTW, this is when I knew I had to watch that scene again right then and there.
I was always here Obi-Wan...you just weren't ready to see.
Awww girl don't cry 🤗 13:06 Yes you are beautiful 😁
It was at that moment that his master taught him a certain set of skills. Skills that he would need when a certain princess would one day get taken.
As a huge star wars rebels fan this episode really just did the Ashoka vs Vader scene but with obi wan and I love it lol
In Leia's defense, Obi-Wan kinda ole'd her toward Lola, haha...
Fans: We wanted more Qui-Gon Jinn!
Disney: Do you know how much Liam Neeson cost?!!
It would be uncharacteristic of Obi Wan to Kill Reva AFTER she spared Luke's life.
Qui-Gon: "It took you long enough." and "I was always here. You just weren't ready to see." To me, this is Qui-Gon telling Obi-Wan that it was his PTSD and disconnection from the Force that resulted in Obi-Wan's previous inability to connect with Qui-Gon's Force Ghost. I loved that part!!
"Hello there!!" Maybe someone can help me out here - I'm unsure why this statement draws such a good reaction from the fans. I'm certain he said it before, but I just don't remember when and where and to whom?
He said it in "A New Hope" to Luke when Luke regained consciousness after being attacked by the Sand People. (Luke was searching the desert for R2, who had escaped the Owen homestead to search for Obi-Wan.)
@@AZLadyVamp Thanks for clearing that up for me. I suspected something along those lines, but it's been decades since I watched "A New Hope." :)
Obi Wan had to kill Maul. Maul was as evil as they come. Reva is not the same. She was a youngling who was nearly killed by Anankin/Vader and was a victim of extreme trauma. Her not killing Luke was her starting to return from the Dark Side. Where she goes from there isn't for Obi-Wan to decide. Revenge has guided her life, but now she sees a different path to take. Kenobi understood this. Killing her at this point isn't defending or protecting Luke. It's murder, and that could drive Obi-Wan to the dark side himself.
I'd like to see a few episodes about Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru with Luke. There has to be a story that can stand alone. I hope someone comes up with it.
Maybe a bad experience with the Sand People.
We already know that Reva didn’t say anything about Luke to anyone…see Star Wars - A New Hope. Her mind was now free of her revenge agenda and she was no longer a threat which is y Obi Wan let her go. I’d be surprised if she doesn’t end up being an op in the Rebellion.
I liked how they choose to bring Qui Gon in last. Obi Want was hassled by lots of question about the end of the Jedies, how he "killed" his own padowan then realized he did not but made him into a monster instead.
When he was reliefed by his guilt, his mind became openminded and serene enough to face Qui Gon.
Something I didn't think about till later is Obi-Wan left him alone and broken once again.. Like reopening the same wound and pouring salt on it. He left Anakin to suffer, again, instead of putting him out of his misery like he should have done in Episode 3.
ah f that moment when he breaks down got me soon as u see bens eyes go watery
Thoughts on Reva- I think that after the events of this ep, she walked out into the desert expecting the end, got captured by the sand people and eventually became part of the tribe, adopting their dress and language.
Years later she trained a certain bounty hunter in the ways of the sand people...
;)
Star Wars is the only show where I really feel so bad about a character. Everytime I see Anakin in Ep 3 after he turned and now this scene...I wish he didnt turn and I am just so sad and could tear up. And I also feel so bad for Kenobi.
That "you didn't kill Anakin Skywalker, I did." With the *smile*
He knows he's saying this and hurting the one person besides Ashoka who cares about him most right now.
The bit about the parts of the mask I felt too, and I think there's another part that comes in.
Luke showed Vader/Anakin mercy. Anakin said "you do not win a fight with mercy" in episode 5, and.
My heart. Luke had to show mercy to save his father. Proving Anakin wrong, and that Ashoka and Obi-Wan couldn't make him come back with violence.
Nerds and geeks are Star Trek..WE'RE DORKS!
