i'm dying, this new lyrics i've never heard, so much history from other character we didn't knew. My favourite musical ever.
which character?
Which character
This is the Atlanta tryout before Broadway, hence the different lyrics! But at the risk of sounding like everyone else, which character do you mean? :0
I don’t understand why this production failed on Broadway. It’s criminally underrated and the music and the sets are beautiful, and Sarah, Andrew, Carolee, Micheal, and Robert were all amazing!
Don’t forget my lovely guy Terrence Mann!!
WHY ISNT THIS PLAY A BIGGER DEAL!!!! The ending literally had me emotional!!!
it’s so satisfying but so emotional
It opened on Broadway the same year as Hamilton, Waitress, and School of Rock. It just didn't stand a chance no matter how brilliant this show is. I wish it came out a year earlier because it could have gotten the praise it deserved.
@@theaterkween5791Damn that was a big year for musical theater
I saw it live and I was crying at the end
Me, coming from Newsies, not knowing Andrew could dance...
he had to go to a dance call for newsies and he was confused about why because crutchie doesn’t dance or move that much
I had no clue this entire musical existed until I became in love with Newsies.
Same the guy who playd race(ben cook) also is in the ensemble here
ME TOOO
Same 😭
The best part about this version is how long it gets to to get into the story. Really makes the secret feel like more of a secret.
Wow, what a nostalgic throwback! Tuck Everlasting holds a special place in my heart, and seeing this pre-broadway performance brings back so many memories. Sarah Charles Lewis, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Carolee Carmello, Micheal Park, and Robert Lenzi all delivered outstanding performances.
This was a fantastic musical.🎭🎵 Sadly it was underrated and definitely deserved more appreciation. It was beautiful, entertaining , the performances & heart touching❤. Thank you so much for posting this musical Ally Joan.😁
I’m literally cryinggg tuck means sm to me and I can finally see it
holy crap!!! I'm such a huge fan of Tuck and I can't believe I've never seen this!!
My high school is doing Tuck Everlasting, and I found out that I got the role of Miles Tuck just yesterday! I’m super excited for this, it’s a fantastic musical
THANK YOU FOR THIS! i’m auditioning for Tuck in a month and Andrew is my idol and he’s so good as jesse
you know Andrew is my broadway hero too lol
How did it go?
@@discojuice23 i was wondering the same thing
@@faithylulu he still hasn't said :(
Carlin Smith maybe he hasn’t auditioned yet
Ally, thanks so much for sharing this! TUCK EVERLASTING is one of the truly great musicals, IMHO. It just happened by chance that the Sunday afternoon that I saw it on BROADWAY was the FINAL PERFORMANCE ever. It was a very emotional finale. I could tell that saying goodbye to this beautiful show way too soon was very hard for the amazing cast.
I have been looking for this adaptation for some years and stumbled upon it TODAY. When my one and only was in the 5th grade when this play was performed at The High Museum, The Alliance Theater, Atlanta, we were there. I absolutely fell in love with this play. My background in high school was costume design for our school plays, so any play that captures my heart I'll always remember. This was one of them. The end of it had me in tears. I was so happy I volunteered for this field trip. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wooooah, what-- I remember watching a different bootleg like 3 years ago & they changed the lyrics sm and everything!! So excited to rewatch this!! Tuck Everlasting has a very special, deep placein my heart
I’m so glad that the show that I’m doing this summer is becoming my summer hyperfixation
41:57 WHY WAS THIS SONG CUTTT! I love it and it makes you really see the bond that these characters have. Also. Miles’ face KILLS me 31:59
Literally got a one day notice for auditons for this musicale, so now I’m binging this 💀
When Jessie and Winnie met it was realistic and very awkward lol. My sister is 17 and I can say this is very accurate
now being 17, i can definitely say, much more accurate than i thought it was when i first watched a different bootleg as a freshman in high school. i can ABSOLUTELY imagine randomly meeting a random kid, around the same age as my lil brother, and it going down like that
Happy Tuck day everyone!
(it's August first)
I recently played Winnie in tuck everlasting at a local theatre! I love this musical sm!
Thank you so much for this! I saw this musical when it first came out and haven’t been able to watch it since so thank you! And I agree, it was greatly unappreciated.
Aww, Mae and Winnie have a mother/daughter moment.
Miles: i never felt like i belonged anywhere since i lost my family blah blah blah
Jesse: TREES 👁👄👁
Btw, THANK YOU SO FRICKIN MUCH FOR RECORDING THIS!!!! I was a tiny bit dissappinted that Partner in Crime wasn't one of the songs but whatever.
My slime is singing a lot for some reason.
It also never expires which is a plus and it really likes to explore
I found the soundtrack years ago but this is the first time I'm able to watch it. Thank you.
Thank you so much!! Ever since I found out about Tuck, I've been obsessed with it, I'm glad that I'm able to see it, even if it's through a video. :D
WHAT OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS
youre welcome!
@@allyyyriah Omg!!!! Is this from the very beginning or the start of it or? I seriously do not mean to sound ungrateful however I read this book in the 5th grade. Required reading but we read it in class & got to kick back in bean bag chairs & stuff on the floor. Our teacher even decorated the room like it so it really felt like we were they're in the scenes as we read the book. I remember they're just seeing at a county fair or City fair but I don't remember what it's about.
Why is this so good!?
Riiiight!!!! I read this book in the 5th grade & I'm 39 now yet still remember it to this day.
Jump the line was such a good song
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! I just got cast as Man in the Yellow Suit!!
OMG THANK YOU FOR THISSSS
Does anyone else like this version of Live Like This better than the Broadway one?
Totally! I love Miles part a lot more!
@@federicaalvarenga3699 Me too! I feel like it shows how he wasn't always depressed, and how much the impact of his wife and son leaving left on him.
Isn’t this the broadway??
@@katedev8694 It says in caption that it's Atlanta, pre-Broadway, and it has some changes from the Broadway version & soundtrack. If you listen to the soundtrack version of Live Like This, it's set in the modern day (1893) and has Winnie wishing for the fair and Mae and the boys reuniting. This version is like a prologue with Mae and Angus meeting.
Thanks for telling me!
depresso esspresso, the musical
That's Les Mis dude.
The Winnie looking real before the NYC tacky doll up in a detectable wig and pre Broadway is usually far more believable than actors done up like amateur cosplayers
Great!, and Broadway, too! It shouldn't have failed...
Ngl I came to see AKB perform w/o a crutch...
Does anyone know what Natalee Babbitt; thought of this play?
First time watching this, i will edit
1. Oop a guy- he sounds **gasp** f a m i l i a r - wait how do i spell familiklar
2. Ngl he sounds a little bit like Roger from anb
3. Who's that he seems like a precious child
4. wAIT ANDREW KSNSKSMSKMS
5. Excuse me kill me if you want but i heard mormon and just- hELlO-
6. The guy getting married looks like Sky from mamma mia
7. Why is he still standing all the way up there though-
I heard Ben Cook was in the ensemble?
Please does anyone have the full broadway production or know where i can watch it??? I wanna see it SO BAD
Ie this the one with ben tyler cook in the ensemble?
yes

Also Sarah Lewis is brilliant. One Small Story... nogh said
I love tuck so much but I didn’t like how they cute “the attic”. My dream role is Jessie
Where Hugo’s first case? :(
I was looking for that with concern. I'm playing Hugo this summer and I hope I get to do Hugo's First Case!
@@samuelnicholes Exciting I was Hugo in a show last year! Definitely a fun role!!
@@sebastianxavier6008 Yeah! And I already give off a lot of the same energy anyway, so it's going to be awesome.
I’m singing good girl Winnie foster for a competition!
what is the song called when Jesse is on top of the silo by himself in the beginning
Top of the world
I kinda feel for the Man in the Yellow Suit.
Why is it so different from the broadway version?
This was the pre-broadway run. They learned from this and made changes for broadway.
is ben cook in this?
yes
Read the book in 5th grade, saw from a TikTok that there was a musical.
Theres a book?
@@padfoot374 YES! please read it, it’s so good
there making us read this in school so im gonna watch instead
Best of Luck to Holy Angels….starts this weekend!
I didn't I know I bought Treegap slime. Not gonna return it though.

Can you make this into a google drive link?
You're profile photo is so cursed...
@@zoe_moth it was the Marius face before
This script seems quite different from the Samuel French/Concord Theatricals. Is this a different version?
@@kateheaton9231ohhh that makes sense why partner in crime wasnt in this
If SCL played Winnie in Atlanta, when did Sadie Sink play Winnie?
I’m not entirely sure but I believe that Sadie sink was either an understudy or they alternated
Sadie sink never played Winnie, she sang a song from the show at a concert
@@alexabell5004 Brooklyn Shuck was the understudy for Winnie
If I understand correctly, Sink was going to play Winnie originally, but they cancelled the production she was supposed to be in, as they didn't have theater space to move it to Broadway after the run that she would have been in in Atlanta. So they pushed it back some number of years and ended up with Sarah Charles Lewis instead:)
This intro should have stuck.
