    Excellent review and demonstration of the Reolink NVR and app. I really appreciate the details regarding RTSP URL's. I just ordered the Reolink NVR RLN8-410 with the (6) new CX410 cameras. Check out the CX410 camera night shots. The cameras are amazing! Thanks again for posting the video.

    Thank you for this video! I found it to be extremely useful especially your demonstration of the web browser As I intend to keep a tab up on the NVR versus walking over to the 19-in rack to look at the primary monitor. I still have a lot of questions, but I want to compliment you on this information rich video. Thank you.

      Thanks a lot. These devices are so versatile nowadays in how they can be used that it is almost impossible to cover all aspects in a single video.

    Thanks for the video! I didn't watch every minute of it, but I didn't hear you say is it possible to connect non-Reolink cameras to it. Also, their website does not mention supported protocols and such details. Onvif support?

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  Рік тому

      Yes, the video was already quite long. So I did not want to add more to it. But so far I did not test it with other cameras. But when I want to add a new camera manually, it asks for an IP, port (which is defaulted to 9000) userid and password. I think port 9000 is a default port for Onvif. So it may be possible but I need to test it. Just like Onvif.

    Csongor thanks and just one last question , I'm new at all of this but have got everything ready and my plan is the following 1) start-up my reolink argus 3 pro and download app etc.. etc.. so I can leave it working for a couple of days stand alone.. 2) install the reolink NVR network connections, monitor and even speakers to get the wifi camera connected to the NVR and leave that running for a few days 3) once it's all working will install the camera in fron of the house. can this general process work?

    Hi Csongor sorry to bug again a quick question: if I'm setting up my reolink wifi camera argus 3 pro on my NVR connected to my router, I will be placing the camera in remote areas of the house how can I boost the wifi signal? If i use a range extender this will create a different SSID & range of IP addresses and therefore useless. How do I resolve this issue??

  • @antoniocerasuolo757
    @antoniocerasuolo757 Рік тому

    Hi Csongor, I will set up the Reolink 8 Channel NVR soon and saw that you configured a static IP address. I would prefer having the DHCP set -up but I guess if that is the case then could be an issue in accessing via the web app? anyhow are there any issues in accessing the NVR via the windows app if DHCP is set?

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  Рік тому

      I don't think so. I added the NVR with the unique ID and the password not with an IP, so no reason it should not find again.

    Can I add to this nvr another camera or just reolink ????

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  6 місяців тому

      That is a good question. I did not test this yet, but I assume even if a different brand works, it is not guaranteed that all of them will work.

    Hi I bought the argus 3 pro and the reolink NVR and now ready to add the camera to the NVR , havent unboxed the NVR yet, can you please explain what you mean the battery powered camera cant record on the NVR?? I'm not following you can you please explain how i connect my new argus 3 pro to the NVR??

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  Рік тому +1

      NVR does not work with the NVR. Those models save battery by not recording 24/7 but sleep most of the time and only wake up when for example motion is detected, or when you start viewing it. I did not find any way to make it record all the time, or to be added to the NVR. And most probably it would not last for long on battery anyway.

    Hi then would you be able to suggest a price/quality wifi camera that will be compatible with the NVR?

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  Рік тому

      All the wifi cameras work with the NVR. Of course the best if the wired cameras as you can wire them directly to the NVR, so the camera traffic does not use your wifi bandwidth. But I have multiple Wifi cameras and all of them are visible in the NVR. I think the RLC-410W is the most basic wifi camera now, but if you are looking at a wider scene go for a 2K camera for the resolution. Also if the camera is looking at a driveway or street you may want a WA version which can do vehicle and person detection.

      @@antoniocerasuolo757 Yes, ignore anything which is battery powered. There are other wifi cameras that are powered by either PoE or just 12V DC. Those will work.
