Hi DR, I am regular subscriber of your channel, as I get lot of insight from it. My wifes angiography shows that she has got severe TVCAD with 90% blockage and now comes the most important part Dr has done Rest Myocardial Perfusion Spect Scan (Thallium/Tero/MIBI) which reveals the below mentioned conditions: 1. Normal size left ventricle. 2. No significant tracer uptake is seen in the lung filed. 3. Rest images shows mild perfusion defect involving the apex of the left ventricle.No perfusion defect is seen in the septum, anterior wall, lateral wall and inferior wall. 4. Gated images shows good wall motion and wall thickening of the myocardium of the left ventricle at rest LVEF 56% 5. Quantification show more than 40% tracer uptake in the same area of perfusion defect as compared to the best perfusal lateral wall of the left ventricle. Conclusion- Scan findings are suggestive of overall good viability of the myocardium of the left ventricle. After taking medicines for around 2 months her LVEF went up from 40% to 53% and she has got no symptoms as of now. She has got high and uncontrollable diabetes. With above conditions we want to keep her on medicine, is that advisable. She is 45 years old,
Please get a conventional coronary angiography done, it's very likely that her main artery is blocked. At 45, she will benefit from CABG/PTCA depending on Angiography findings

There is some confusion, in one of your videos you talked about CT Calcium scoring, isn’t that enough and sufficient as a non invasive methodology ? I mean what all you’re telling in this video is just because if someone wanted to have a very specific diagnosis? Just because of that ? Its really confusing between CT Calcium Scoring and this PET or Thallium Scanning Could you please now specifically reply which one is better among these two diagnosis techniques, because in that video you told that Calcium Scoring is a better non invasive method. Or it would be in the benefit of the population if you could make a comparison of Angiography, Calcium Scoring and this PET scan. Having a single video information could be of greater help.

So far as the test in which radioactive chemical is utilized is very accurate but you may also disclose the side effects of the chemical within the process. Secondly, is there any chemical which may dissolve the clogged materials within any vein under a process of circulation of blood through a filter based process? In this way such patients may be kept safe from the process of inserting stents. I appreciate your involvement.
The answer to second one is a clear NO. Unfortunate but true, I wish we all had such a miracle cure. If indeed humanity comes to find such a cure, average age of human will jump 20-30 years instantly. Answer to first question, it is a very safe and regulated test, whole of radionuclear industry(medical or non medical, is extremely well monitored) risk is much much lesser than the potential benefits in correctly chosen patients. It should not be offered to all, awareness of the test is important though

Hey doc, my dad has TMT positive so went for ct-angiography. While doing it the CAC value came 1600. Then doctor suggested for going normal angiography process. There the doctor started converting us to angioplasty with 3 stent, as per his report Radial route (R) / LM (normal) / LAD OK/ OM 80% discrete / RCA 100% with collateral filling (CTO). Can you suggest if this is urgent case? Or 3 stent is required. I cant come to gurgaon immediately but if you can suggest correct then we can plan

I had undergone petscan thrice as I was suffering from DLBCL and was undergoing chemotherapy. Would my scan films have the pictures or images which can show the heart muscles in hybernating and or scarred state OR I would have to undergo seperate scan for detection of this. I would also like to state that I have blockage in my LCX (total occlusion) non dominant artery detected in 2018. Since then I am on medicines Telvas and Arvast gold.

Both are different. But the gold standard test remains a conventional angiography
