Thanks Masita!! I do LOVE this Explorer. I truly believe that the majority of people who have owned them haven’t even come close to using them to their full capability, myself included. They are processing information in a way we won’t understand unless Minelab tells us. It’s the closest thing to magic I have seen in quite some time. Good hunting sir!
Omg your videos are incredible and highly addictive!! You can just tell your a real master in disguise😆 I've subbed and cant stop watching... I owned a whites xlt for 13 years and mastered it and like you could almost guarantee a coin hit however,... 18 months ago I got a 2nd hand explorer 2 as I always wanted one for years as a good friend owned one and produced wonderful finds. It came with the 12×15 sef coil which is my preference because of depth and coverage ( the standard 11" and a 6" accelerator coil for stubble). It too has had the built in wired sunray probe attached at some point which mirrors the exact same tones as the coil at a flip of a switch and it sits into a carrier onto the back of the battery pack niceley, but as you can imagine she is one weighty beast.. (I'm considering heavily modifying like yours 😉😀) I don't get out (in sothern england) as much as I'd like and I'm finding it a real learning curve.. to be honest I'm a bit scared of changing anything through fear over making things more confusing or worse. It came with programs printed on card and maybe has some in the custom saved programs 🤷♀️ I guess what I'm asking is could you recommend a program/few tips to give me a head start and some real confidence in this beast.. I know it has huge potential I'm just anxious to get to know her better.. the friend that had one in the past I've sadly lost contact with. Keep up the good work and video's dude and hh ✌😀
I sure appreciate you taking the time to put up a great post Adam, I will make another video in the next couple days with some settings you can try out. Since you have low conductors such as small hammered coins, you’ll have to follow a couple of rules....but I’ll get to that in the video. Be sure to check back Sunday-ish...and thanks!
Sky Studios Hey Sky! I am using a GoPro chest mount harness, you can buy them at Walmart or online, it’s called a “Chesty”. See my other video about how I did it....good luck to your Pop!
trying to see your smart screen... looks like the right side ... a little slice goes down into the bottom right side area. In your latest videos... it's just the upper quater-ish area.. I know the upper right is for the silver... but the lower right side... is that for gold rings?
William R William....if you Google search “Mike Moutray Explorer” the first result will be “Mikes Explorer Screens”. This will tell you ALOT more of what you want to know. I’ll try to do some more videos before the snow flies so watch for those! And thanks!🙂
Interesting discrimination pattern, I noticed there was kind of a dog leg dipping down in the far right of the conductive, Is there a reason for that? I really like your video's involving FBS detecting, very instructional, You explain the nuances very well, I could have used your video's when I first started using FBS. Thanks.
Thanks Spader! I also could’ve used more guidance with the Explorer at first but as it turns out, I learned a lot from just using it a lot. The “dog leg” allows for lead bullets to come in along the very far right side, and in the place I’m doing this video, there is sometimes old ammo from the 1800’s...fired AND unfired. The bigger they are the higher up toward the top they register. Small caliber stuff is about 2/3 down the right side. I have a KT athletic tape container FULL of old lead, you wouldn’t BELIEVE how heavy it is!😆 Have a great New Year and stay safe!
Clare Winslow III Nothing different with sound Clare,it just wasn’t windy really,a few gusts here and there. Have you gotten your mic situation dialed in? This was just a little test hunt,a lot more to come🙂
The links i sent you work really good. You can adjust the record volumn also. Family and work is getting in ghe way of making videos. I'll let you know when i get s video made.
Hey there WGP! I pretty much always run with Deep and Fast both OFF. Deep ON turns on MORE filtering which looks at a target LONGER, which makes it SLOWER. Fast ON turns off some filtering which speeds it up just a bit, but at the expense of ID. Both of them OFF seems to be where the engineers thought that it would perform the best in “normal everyday conditions”, and how they are set from the factory.
@@wizardsofwisconsin7400 Ok i see..I do have the manual maybe i should read it..lol..I'm liking it the more i use it..Had a really decent hunt the other day with it..Got my first silver with it and a deep silver ring that hit really hard also..I was shocked at how evident the ring signal came in at 8 inches deep..Thanks for the response..
@@WeirdGuyInPark 😂Yeah, manuals are over rated…until you need to know something. FBS does an EXTRAORDINARY job of subtracting the ground itself, which is why you are going to see clean signals at such depths. 7-9” dimes are quite common around here, good to see you’re getting along with it so far!
Mainely Digger A friend of a friend who works at a machine shop in Milwaukee made it. I can’t put enough pressure on it to even come close to breaking it,but it is pretty heavy. The price paid for indestructibility...🙂
Superb setup Mr ,
Great image and audio and last but not least
What a detector , you gotta love those explorers
Thanks for sharing

Very nice💪
How did you construct a harness to make the machine lighter? My dad is looking to do the same thing. Many thanks!

Nice video with good sound. Did you make some changes on the sound recording?

What settings are u using to get low
Define what you mean by “to get low” Jake
@@wizardsofwisconsin7400 sorry, low tones for coins on conductive
@@jakedonnely4094 So if I understand your question....you want to hear LOW tones when you find highly conductive coins such as copper and silver?
@@wizardsofwisconsin7400 yep that's about it, can that be done on explorer
@@jakedonnely4094 I’m afraid it can NOT be done. It CAN be done on the CTX and Equinox 800, but not the Explorer series.
