From that day forward he gets a loan for every peace of equipment he buys for the business and has perfect credit and his bank loves him.
Tim I worked on several JB Hunt maintenance shops building them from ground up to finish product. They have several wash bays that have multiple hoses on each wall of each bay. They have a full length pit they drive over in each bay, catwalks high enough to wash the upper sides of tractor and trailers, and a hose setup for ground level up to halfway. They also have radiant tube heaters so that it's usable year round without worrying about ice buildup inside bays but they're open on each end to allow for tractor to be cleaned and trailers if necessary can be brought in by taggers that strictly yard use for that purpose of moving trailers into repair bays, or around the yard, and through the wash bays where they're hot water pressure washed when they're due to be cleaned. I'm not sure exactly how many of these facilities they have nationwide wide. I did one on west Dallas another one on southwest ft worth and one in Huntsville or somewhere nearly to Houston. They had 35 E covered 35 W covered as well as 45 north of Houston which that really only leaves interstate 10 across the lower part of Texas the other two were close to interstate 20, and 30 through DFW proper plus the north south interstates mentioned above. Total of 6 repair bays capable of tractor or trailer if necessary. Also has full facilities for drivers to layover to clean laundry showers bunks canteen for meals although just sandwiches burgers lite meals not 5 star chef grade French cuisine for sure but hot and hot showers with washers and dryers for drivers several TVs included. Best setup I've seen compared to paying truck stops for these services truthfully. PS Why is the lower radiator cover expenses are hard to get Your at a hell of a metal fab shop with cnc capabilities, and I bet they've got a brake and a roller setup there capable of fabricating that piece, and probably a lot more items if needed. As far as the headlight cans, why not paint what you need to, and you can spray clear coat as easily as base paint and primer yourself I'm sure. They are very capable of correcting wiring issues and that just leaves lens and bulbs Worse case scenario is you pull some of the old cans off an older Pete, and retro fit them for what you need. As you said upgrade later, but make road worthy now and functional is what counts at times like this I believe is basically what you said. PSS All this was done back in the early 90's, and I've been by the west Dallas shop, because my cousin lives nearby, and it's on the way to his house. Last time it was still up and running from the trucks seen from the road driving past. I don't see as many of they're rigs on the hiway as once did, but then I don't drive 100 plus miles one way to work around the metroplex as DFW is called locally. So that's more likely the answer to that question in all likelihood. I did date the lady that does insurance, driver ordination, and couple other positions for one of the bigger trucking companies outta Terrell, Texas Helwig and Son. They have a big facility over between hiway 80, and interstate 20, not too far from interstate 45, and freeway 635 that loops around downtown Dallas catching interstate 75, 35 E and interstate 30 all close by for they're drivers to stop for maintenance and whatever else needed I'm sure.

You gotta keep your machinery as current as possible. You're at a disadvantage right now playing catch up but you're never too old to learn. Running 35-40 year old trucks as a fleet isn't feasible. Trucking is a young mans game and they're not gonna want to drive something their granddads drove in the 80s. They're fine for parades and the occasional load across town and to tinker with when you're feeling nostalgic.
I take my hat of for you. You are doing great and a fantastic job, especially after your fire. I hope you’ll be able to get you a new storage and work shop. Following every video of yours, from Denmark Europe.
I left UPS freight to start driving for these two guys great pay really nice guys and a good job but sadly the went out of business 11 months later. I was really hopping that job would pan out but I found another small company with 25 plus years so I feel better about this place. it has been a dream to work for someone like you I like how you approach things and conduct business. I have been thinking going o/o but truck prices still high and with rates on the low side it makes me nervous to run solo right now. I wish nothing but luck for ya.
To be honest, the best part of the video is when Braxton says there it is when you guys pull through the gate, the excitement enjoying his voice makes all the hard work worth it and you guys have the absolute best UA-cam channel out there I will meet you one day in person I like the way you work gentry and Sons will never fall apart. Stay strong keep doing you.
Heck yea buddy we at Glory bound transport are Detroit people we love them. We have had a tuff time keeping in business trying to rebuild our 96 eagle it was our very first truck. We love yal
my friend is a owner operator with 5 trucks he ran california every week since they did what they did he will not go there any more. he said it hurt for about 2 months but he got into a better deal now,
That's a pretty nice and clean truck right there. It's not perfect judging by what you guys found right away. But since you know how to fix them, not a problem.
Hey Tim you made a good decision by buying that truck also you made another good decision by running the truck before you upgrade anyting I would also wait to replace the headlights until you made money off the truck like you taught your son do your repairs on your truck after you make money upgrade your truck after you run your truck you have a hell of a business keep it up you will get your hundred truck Fleet my making good decisions
I have been thinking and I think you may benefit from building a truck wash building on your burned out garage lot. You can wash your own trucks, and charge for others to pay for the building. Just a thought.
I feel your one of the few company's that don't have all your eggs in one basket which is a great business move. You haul boats to refers to cattle and oversize. It definitely gives you options and the upper hand when certain rates are down you can easily transition over to hauling other freight they may he 0aying really good. Kudos to you and your family and team. Keep the great content coming.
i am so far from your universe....corporate guy/ office guy most of my life. But I love following your channel, hard working down to earth people. I want to see you and your family fulfil all your dreams.
I was going to buy the black w900 from those guys, he gave me the option of the black one, red one, or that Pete. Decided to wait a little longer before buying one. That is a nice truck went all through it.

I like you are growing with your business just keep up your health enjoy seeing brax is by ur side working with you
You gotta keep your machinery as current as possible.
You should build a lean to on the new shop for a wash bay. Make a walk down pit so you can clean the underside out.
Hope the guilt isn’t eating u to much from getting ya shed lit up 🔥
Boy how I wish I lived closer and was 10 years younger. 30 year experience driving tractor trailers
389 headlights are about a Grand a piece for complete , you can buy inserts for them and paint the backs to match the truck
The key to def try your best to keep it above 1/2 that’s a beautiful 389 congratulations man I’m proud of you guys 💯💯💯💯💯
good to see everything workin out
To be honest, the best part of the video is when Braxton says there it is when you guys pull through the gate, the excitement enjoying his voice makes all the hard work worth it and you guys have the absolute best UA-cam channel out there I will meet you one day in person I like the way you work gentry and Sons will never fall apart. Stay strong keep doing you.
Then he calls it junk @6:20. They both outside Nitpicking little dents,@3:37, 6:06 look at what their equipment looks like.

I knew you would come back stronger brother you and your family are blessed
my friend is a owner operator with 5 trucks he ran california every week since they did what they did he will not go there any more. he said it hurt for about 2 months but he got into a better deal now,
That's a pretty nice and clean truck right there.
Here in the uk red diesel once gone through the fuel system will permanently stain the lines, any normal fuel will then turn red, proper ball ache
It is cleaner than anything you have now.i like clean trucks.
Looks like she’s got 336 gears in her and that’s great for running long distance high speed . Beautiful truck brother , congratulations.
The interior is immaculate from what I can see from your video.
i am so far from your universe....corporate guy/ office guy most of my life. But I love following your channel, hard working down to earth people. I want to see you and your family fulfil all your dreams.
I was going to buy the black w900 from those guys, he gave me the option of the black one, red one, or that Pete. Decided to wait a little longer before buying one. That is a nice truck went all through it.
