Literally the second Tsukasa is in the fridge Senku becomes an oil baron. Something I’ve always enjoyed about this anime is the comparison between modern specialization and raw natural talent. Here we see Yo’s incompetence, measured against the villagers’ survival skills, then Yuzuriha, who grew up in a society that met most of her daily needs, allowing her to devote most of her time to developing her craft skills. In the old series it shone a subtle spotlight on how Tsukasa’s Kingdom of Strength was based in hypocritical values from the beginning. Hyoga’s spear arts, Homura’s gymnastics, Yo’s police training, and Ukyo’s developed hearing could only have been nurtured in a scientifically advanced society, no matter how good their raw talent was.
Having fun is one of the most nurturing thing that can happen to a human. We need time off the day from working to feed ourselves in order to develop ourselves as individuals, including our strengths and things that may be implemented to do better. This is why Hyoga wanted Tsukasa gone, probably. Hyoga wants the best of the best to stay in the world and knows people won't grow unless they can use the knowledge of past generations and move to the future. He saw the flaws in Tsukasa's ideals, but for all the wrong motives.

3:46 actually what Senku did is he would account for leap seconds when counting because eventually the numbers got so large that it would take him multiple seconds to mentally "say" the number so let's say he's on 2,456,780,256 seconds, the next number would have to be something like 2,456,780,259 because it took him 3 seconds to count the previous number
Shout out to the Good Morning 'New' World version by the Burnout Syndromes. That was like an extra cherry on top of this OVA. I got so hyped when I heard it the first time.
I believe the mangaka was revived at the end of season 2. His first thought upon being told it had been 3700 years was that he had missed his deadline, and he starts desperately trying to draw stuff. I think I remember people saying he was drawn to resemble the artist for the dr stone manga too, although I haven't checked that.
This OVA may be my favorite part of the show honestly, it's just super tight. Solid jokes, Ryusui's a great new character, everyone gets a little time to shine, it has a good amount of science and invention factoids, it's just everything good about Dr. Stone without much of the fluff that sometimes gets in the way in the full seasons.
if they wanted to revive tsukasa they could just take ryusuui to his freezer and let him speak, pretty sure he would come back to life from pure rage, and I for once would be with tsukasa
