- Today we really are doing something a little different; driving RC cars! By audience request, we’re going to take these RC’s on Berm Peak, see if they can climb to the top, and then attempt some of the jumps-that’s easier said than done. Normally we’re doing mountain bike stuff, but today the mountain bike trails are pretty sloppy.

I have a 60+ mph custom built short course truck and a monster truck.
I have a slash 4x4 1/16 but the 2wd 1/10 and 4x4 1/10 are better starter cars

I have an axial SCX10 as a rock crawler and a traxxas e-revo as a track racer and it is incredible what they are capable of. They are so fun and I totally recommend getting one and making another video out of it. Loved this video!!!

Seth, get a Traxxas E-Revo or a Rustler 4x4. Both are more than capable of crawling and mid air control, as well as 50+ miles per hour.
Harrison Ashcraft or a MAXX it’ll be better for crawling but the e-revo would be better for jumping. the main difference is that the e-revo goes 10 mph higher.
Harrison Ashcraft Rhd rustler is more for speed but an x-max or a 4x4 slash would be perfect
Y'all are recommending a MTB guy an enthusiast grade model. I don't think he will spend 600+ on a Traxxas car as fun as it would be. 😂

At 34, I got back into hobby grade rc cars a couple years ago and have had an absolute blast. They're fun to drive, fun to work on, fun to upgrade, you name it. A huge money pit, but worth it. I was really into it as a kid, so the nostalgia of it is awesome. Never stop playing!
I agree with the principle if not the specific example. The topic of mountain bikes is a great one, but the production quality and sense of humor behind Seth's Bike Hacks/Berm Peak is what keeps me watching. Keep producing content, Seth!

Oh man I would kill to see djMedic and some of his kit out there. I'm not sure if he still uses that handle, but he's got thousands of hours of top quality RC content from all disciplines (drifting, heavy machinery, boats, rock crawling, nitro race carts, you name it)

The X-maxx is really expensive so that’s why I would probs recommend a slash because they are extremely hard to break and there not to expensive plus you could between the 1/10 or 1/16. But I would definitely go with the 1/10

The red rock crawler is an early 1980’s Toyota pick-up (known as a Hilux in Europe and Asia)

For anyone wanting to get an RC car now, look into Traxxis cars. They're fast, durable, and parts are always available. ECX RC is a similar, but cheaper option. For rock crawlers, Axial makes some really good options. Team Associated and Losi make really high end and expensive cars, but are arguably the best. Dont buy a cheap RC car off Amazon, look into name brand stuff for a good deal

Hey Seth, there is an RC called a Losi Tenacity DB Pro. Theres a version that has a MTB inspired Fox livery. Its super cool and durable if you wanna go to hobby grade RCs.

I would recommend getting a Traxxas TRX-4. They have a 2-speed gearbox so you can go fast or slow. And locking and unlocking differentials. Great for sending it and for crawling.
