Can't argue with Adele and Anthony's duet. The lifts and jumps were just phenomenal!
A few episodes back you said about the lockers and if it’s consistent so I looked over all the episodes and these are the lockers:

I absolutely LOVE Pascale’s solo! The tight moves, the lighting, the hard-hitting music… honestly I thought it was better than Ariana’s dance but that’s just my opinion (let’s just ignore the fact that Pascale’s a ballet dancer though, haha). Maybe I prefer it because so much of Ariana’s solo was just flashbacks which I didn’t think were needed as we’ve already had a lot of screen time with that storyline… I would have much preferred to just see the dance.
I definitely would've wanted arianas without the flashbacks too. Love that you loved Pascales!
Adele and Anthony’s duet is probs my fave dance this whole internationals i was just smiling like an idiot watching them 😭 alongside the TNS last dance done too 💓
Anthony and Adelle's kiss at the end was so cute :) I wish there weren't flashbacks in Ariana's solo, especially since we can't rely on the full dance getting uploaded to youtube (I hope it does get uploaded, but there's no guarantee like before).
Adele and Anthony's duet was one of my favourites! Ariana and Pascale both did a great job on their solos too!! I hope you like this episode a little more than the last one 😂
I deffo think they need to show more than one other competitior for the comp to feel bigger and also have some sets and props in their dances like they used to.

This episode proved to me that tns do not understand what an alternate is for. Because why are they using it as a punishment? It was such a bad decision on nicks behalf to make ebby alternate bc now theyre gonna have to make changes to their group dance. But honestly almost every season they add/remove someone from a dance very short notice and nothing goes wrong so ig theyre being consistent lmao. I wouldve preferred it if somehow ebby was breaking a rule and she had to be disqualified bc then there would be jeopardy as that would be out of their control. I wouldve been okay with the team being a bit mad at her but cutting her from the group dance would cause more problems imo.
Adele and Anthony’s duet was absolutely beautiful. Definitely one of my favourite performances from this Internationals. Their movements, clothing and lifts flowed really well with the backdrop and they were in great sync with each other throughout the dance.
Despite them having to change the dance because of Ebby and Remi leaking their video, it’s still satisfying to watch this performance because they were still incorporating a few elements from the previous dance such as the props like the rose that Anthony gave to Adele when they first met. It’s beautiful that they continued to incorporate that in the dance and makes it more meaningful and satisfying to watch, especially now that they’re in love. The kiss at the end of the performance was so cute.
16:02 - Your reaction to their kiss was hilarious cause I was thinking the same thing! I’m glad it was allowed. I was getting Glee flashbacks for a moment where Rachel and Finn got in trouble for kissing at the end of their Nationals performance in S2😂 I’m glad they didn’t get in trouble although Adele and Anthony deserved higher than 92. Their duet was so much better than Team France’s one.
I liked both Ariana and Pascale’s solos. Pascale’s solo was unexpected because it was so chaotic and firey. I guess it’s because we’ve seen her do primarily ballet dance, so I was quite surprised to see her in this messy energy style. I quite liked it. The camera work was a bit all over the place though lol. Ariana definitely deserved her win though. I love how she took more advantage of the stairs and space. The trailer song being used for her solo made it even better.
The only thing they should have cut down on was the flashbacks cause I also wanted to see the full solo without interruptions. Same goes for Ebby’s Afro fusion solo from Season 8. But this was still great and I’m glad Ariana won the soloist title. Her thanking Grace for the flowers was also great.
I feel so bad for Ebby though. She’s gone from National soloist to now an alternate. It’s Michelle all over again but without the winning. Hopefully Ebby bounces back in the next season. Presley and Ariana’s scene was great. I’m glad Presley told Ariana to forgive herself. Your reaction to this secret room we’ve never seen before was so funny!😂
Presley is glowing! I quite like when Nick becomes authoritative too even though I feel bad for Ebby. Still wish that Internationals had more episodes and I’m still salty that Richelle was only in the last episode😭
Internationals used to be the biggest thing and now they changin all their little routines and who’s the soloist and bla bla bla right before there’s no stakes 💀

Just been re-watching series 1. It was so good because of all the dancing, each episode had a very a simple/ single story line and a series ark. Now there is very little dancing and very convoluted plots. A whole episode could have been about the duet being leaked on line and rechoreographing. This series started so well and 9B seems rushed again.
Totally agree with how unnecessary the flashbacks are. This might be crazy to some people (mainly the show writers) but I actually want to see the winning internationals solo, especially when it comes from The Next Step!! 😂
Also, WHO ARE THESE JUDGES and WHAT IS THIS SCORING???
That aside, Presley looked great!!
I don't think Adele and Anthony's kiss was unprofessional bc they made it be a part of the dance, and like I have seen real dances in official competitions including actual kisses in their choreos, and with good reason, it can really make it be on the next level
i literally have had like a walk through memory lane with ur channel for like the past 2 weeks. i've rewatched all the s7 vids, the sims vids, guess the reference s1, guess the reference s2 and a few what ifs, i love you and ur channel so much and cant wait for this vid to be up❤️p.s i need guess the reference season 3 in my life🥰

wholesome episode, and actually my favourite dances at internationals was in this episode, so im excited to see your reaction! also i was watching the tns ranking couples video you put up in march 2020, and i realised you put ozzy and Richelle's relationship in "I like them" and i was thinking to myself, how times have changed haha. also i rewatched your guess the references and we really need a season 4, like we can include the season 8 and 9 cast too (if they're free ofc) like it can totally happen. lifelong supporter here since 2019 🥰
Did not care for Ariana's solo one bit... It was just dance, flashback, dance, flashback... Like I watched the show, I know what happened. If you're only tuning in now... You've missed a lot!

As much as I hate to say it, episode 20 was a real disappointment in introducing internationals. And as much as I appreciate how they did up the studio too, I agree when you say that there was no hype.
Also I really don't like the virtual audience either cus it seems so forced and unatural with everyone just clapping. I think it would have been better if like they were cheering with flags or colours of the team they support, or Absolute Dance merchandise to make it seem more connected.
Miss Kate says that L'Equipe Etoile were the runners up at Internationals last year, but wasn't Nationals postponed by a year? It was in Canada anyway... So they would've been the runners up 2 years ago? Now I'm getting confused 😂😂 I can't actually remember why Nationals was postponed in the first place, can someone jog my memory?

Loved pascales solo and that song is so good - they need to release 9B Soundtrack asap 😭and anthony and Adele's duet was cute. I do wish Ariana's solo didnt have flashbacks as it is getting repetitive now
I think the song they used for pascale’s solo is an old song from previous seasons, I don’t know the name of the song though!
@@enderhd375 It was used in an insta short with Grace’s white walls, so I think that’s why it’s familiar to us!
Here are my thoughts for this episode
1. I love how strong Presley and Ariana's connection is but since when is there a costume room that Presley used to go to?? I would have made more sense if we were introduced to this earlier in the season mabey having Ariana go there to avoid facing Grace and the rest of the team
2. What's up with Camille?? Like, either you're working with Maria or you're not. There's no in between
3. Is it just me or did Michelle, Richelle and Freya disappear
4. I loved Pascal's solo because I feel like she was saying goodbye to Maria and hello to her future. Wish we could've seen Heath and Pascal had a kiss 💋
5. Making Ebby the alternate was so stupid for me because SHE WAS THE NATIONAL SOLOIST FOR TNS IN S8!!!

I honesty think the audio we have and the audio they used when recording for Pascale solo was different because the moves felt like they were a bit off beat from the music

Jiley changed duets about twice hurricane heartbreaker whirlwind
It made no sense to make Ebby an alternate when they already made the group dance, this jakes them waste time putting another person in Ebby's place. It isn't very pleasant. Also Adele and Anthony's duet, I liked it. I wish we saw them rehearse it more than just one episode.
i think i may understand how internationals is working, two studios meet up at either one of the countries, just for the sake of having another country there, but everyone is still competing with eachother, so for each round its the top few, so if after duet round the uk and canada got the highest points, they would compete against eachother virtually. I hope it makes sense

Once again they changed a dance that we've conveniently haven't seen rehearsals for, let's see if I'm 3 for 3 next ep. I don't like how we got flashbacks in ariana's solo purely because I don't know if we're gonna have extended dances posted this season

I was so happy for Ariana winning the internationals soloist title, but I really wished she would have gotten a trophy for it, like on the last episode or something, maybe they could have delivered it to her, unless if they do a season 10, they do a post-internationals party and show the trophies that they won, just like at the start of season 4!
Yes, I agree with you. I was annoyed that they didn't give a trophy or a medal to her. And I was also annoyed that during Ariana's solo they did flashbacks like NOOOOOO.... show the whole dance.

I love arianas solo one of the best of the show also when is the new soundtrack out for the seacond half of the series
I think it might be because we are used to actually seeing the competition team dance which made it feel more suspenseful and it made it feel like tns were actually fighting for a chance to win but this seasons internationals dances just felt dull. It felt like the stakes for the competition weren’t there.
I completely agree! Especially Season 2 where we saw the calibre of the other teams like Joanne Chapman's and LOD and Elite!! It really did feel like there were stakes then.
I feel like at this point TNS is always guaranteed to be in the final of whatever competition they're in.
I reckon TNS needs to lose in early rounds of a competition and that way we know that they can actually lose
Pascale and Ariana did great in their solos, I felt like we should have seen other solos from other countries and what their scores was it felt rushed with the solo round. I love Presley and Ariana's scenes it was pure and raw. I enjoyed Anthony and Adele's duet. I felt like Ebby shouldn't shared the rehearsal videos to Remy in the first place; I wish they didn't name Ebby as an alternate since she compete as National Soloist and this foreshadowing to Michelle in Season 3 when she became alternate after being Miss National Soloist in Season 2. I'm looking forward to your next reaction video.

I love how both teams France and Canada had studio and country names, as in season three it really annoyed me that it was 'The Next Step' and then Sweden
I wish they made heath and pascal a bit more romantic like u mentioned sorta but I thought they were still cute and Pascal's dance was sooooooo good although I agree the costume covered her, the dress was pretty on her. I wish Ariana's solo had a more unique costume it kinda just looked like a gymnastics leotard and I didn't see a real story in her solo

I feel like halfway through writing they cut episodes because it feels like everything was rushed last minute which is why there are so many plot holes

I’m currently just watching the new Netflix series geek girl set in England and am just wondering if you have watched it as Alexandra chaves (piper on tns ) Features and has a speaking part in the Canadian episode of the series and it was really interesting to see her play someone who is confident and fast paced you should give it watch if you have the chance !!!
I agree, the flashbacks in Ariana's solo weren't needed, we've seen what happened recently, no need to show us again when we just wanna see the dance!!

Ebby should not be the alternate but even though she did a bad thing to link a duet . But even though Adele and Antonhiny 's duet is cute they kissed that is was amazing i loved it. Why would grace sent ariana flowers and mean notes that were harsh. Kenzie and nick should talk to Eldon about the situation The thing why is camile and maria on this whole thing about internationals Grace needs to take a pill.

What happened to a male soloist and a female soloist? Like Eldon and Michelle? Why just one solo?
Because not everyone identifies as Male or Female
This episode had 4 plots going on and none of them felt fleshed out. What really annoyed me and the Presley and Ariana scene is, we barely know Presley, like you said, when have we ever scene her upset? In fact we never really saw any of her personality, mainly because series 8 was split half old A troop with there music video and half new A troupe with nationals, we never got to know them and we never got to know Presley that well. This scene would have had more impact if we'd scene more of Presley before this but we haven't. Other things I like Nick making an actual decision with Ebby. He wasn't like "errr Kenzie what should we do?" like he usually is. Everything else was fine but I think this episode is ruined more by previous episodes not building up to it, like we'd never scene Anthony and Adele's duet before this but the same is true for the pascal scenes and the Presley scenes.
Thoughts for this episode:
- I really hate how TNS just gives people romantic storylines instead of ACTUAL storylines. I would've really loved Ebby's storyline this season to be about how she was National's soloist, and made shockwaves with doing the first afro-fusion solo ever, only to be overtaken as soloist by a competitive dancer, and being replaced by Ariana. And potentially emphasising how Ariana is white, and dances the 'conventional' styles that are favoured by SNR. And maybe Ebby builds up resentment for Ariana, and tries to challenge her for the solo, only to fail, OR, be given the solo, THEN, gets disqualified last minute for leaking choreo, then Ariana steps in last second, rather than her just being given a romantic storyline like TNS gives everyone instead of an ACTUAL plot.
- Pascales solo was definitely better than Ariana's for me, costuming issues aside, Pascale's musicality was great, the choreo fitted the music well, we saw a brand new style for Pascale that showcased new moves, her versatility, and completely wowed me. Definitely IMO one of the best solos in TNS. Ariana's solo lacked musicality, and the dance didn't fit the music. She could've done what Pascale did and do intricate movements that matched the beat of the song but she didn't. It felt like she danced/choreographed the dance to a different song, and then they just put on a new song over the dance. Likewise, I feel like this solo was simply just Ariana, it was nothing new - we've seen this style from her before, and it just felt like every dance move she's done before, just in a different order.
- Jett has not moved her mouth at all since internationals started. She has not even been in any frames.
- I was REALLY hoping for a last second plot twist where it turns out Grace dances for France, or is their alternate or a featured dancer etc. Or maybe she was the original soloist and then replaced with Pascale. I think it would've tied in nicely for what Grace says in the next episode (that I won't spoil)
Yes!! Ebby seems very overlooked this season when it comes to her serious side, as much as I love her comedic side, internationals she definitely shouldve wanted to be considered for soloist!!
We need a rewrite of this season replace Eldon with Noah
i feel like they're trying hard to make a riley and James moment but it didn't work. They had no built up even Emily and eldon had a better storyline into their relationship
They had build up throughout the WHOLE season what are you on about…. Riley and James had 3 WHOLE SEASONS leading up to their final duet
