"I got your four basic food groups! Beans, bacon, whisky and lard"
Cookie from Atlantis
For the life of me I couldn't remember the fourth one (third, I guess).
" Lettuce?! *LETTUCE?!?!* "
@@LordGingivitus66 "it's a vegetable Cookie"
Altantis and treasure planet should be the next remakes because everyone has seen all the main Disney classics but more people need to see the underrated classics
Dude I’d love a treasure planet remake maybe it could finally get that sequel that was mentioned
I'm surprised those haven't been done
Don't forget Titan AE
unfortunately, as far as anyone knows there are no plans to even consider making live action remakes of those movies (based on the info in this article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Disney_live-action_adaptations_and_remakes_of_Disney_animated_films#Upcoming). As much as i agree that they should get more publicity, it doesnt look like that'll be the case any time soon...😮💨
Tom Holland should play Milo and Zendaya should play Kida. It is the perfect casting.
Duke is No average chef….He is the best average chef.
All honesty you do really well give your self more credit man.
Thank you for unironically and out of nowhere quoting Atlantis. I am now a bigger fan.
Atlantis the Lost Empire!!! Cookie the Cook said that!
So, cookies are sweet but yours is not?
Best 2000s Disney movie vastly underrated mainly because of how mature it was to Disney standards aka barely any ads for it
I dont think ive ever agereed with duke, more than when he said Atlantis needs a remake. 10/10 movie
If Duke keeps doing these cooking episodes over a long span of time it will be fun to see the skills/knowledge of cooking he gains as he goes.
He's already levelled up.
Yes and he will continue to do so the more he tries
Lard is the key to making the best pie crusts, biscuits and scones you will ever eat.
Only cooking show/tutorial i need in my life. Love ya Duke
There are some other great cooking channels out there.
Cowboy Kent Rollins & Tasting History with Max Miller are 2 great channels.
Atlantis is the best Disney movie, but given Disney's track record with that I don't want a live-action remake of it.
Beans, Bacon, Whiskey, and Lard.
Just dropped in to say, you missed Whiskey in the food groups! It's "Beans, bacon, whiskey and lard" xD Definitely a classic which I still enjoy watching :D
Btw, this is literally just a traditional southern meal.
I really enjoy watching these! I'm an experienced home cook with 10 years of restaurant cooking under my belt but every time he does something for the first time, his happiness and joy at having done it (ie: "making my own baked beans") is really infectious! It's cool watching someone learning stuff for the first time and just having fun with it! Keep it up, man: you're doing well!
I love Disney’s Atlantis too & Cookie is such a fun character which is one of my favorite characters along with Mole & Vinny
I SAW THIS WHEN IT WAS ORIGINALLY POSTED ON THE OTHER CHANNEL!!!
But I'm fine re-watching and re-lking it here.
The Atlantis quote made my heart so happy! Also I find it fun that Duke gets so intrigued by any new food he makes because same lol
6:33 Atlantis is such an underrated and underappreciated movie. Right up there with Treasure Planet.
"I got your four basic food groups! beans, bacon, whiskey and lard" -Cookie from Atlantis the Lost Empire. my friends and i quote this a lot xD
Great job! Using a baking tray works really well with those thinner pans.
"I gotcha 4 basic food groups! Beans, bacon, whiskey and lard!"
That's such a great movie XD everything was perfect XD
Fewer songs, more explosions!
@@jaredragland4707 Hey look! I made a bridge!
Adored the Atlantis reference, easily one of my favorite Disney movies ever!
Atlantis, and it's Beans, Bacon, *whisky* and lard. RIP Jim Varney. "What in the devil is SIGH LAN TRO!?"
Was the line in Atlantis "Beans, Bacon, Coffee, and Lard?" If not, I feel we need to add Coffee, and I approve of those food groups
Quoting cookie from atlantis ❤ couldn't love your channel more than I do right now 😂 another underrated classic: treasure planet... where is my space pirate live action remake?!
Watching Duke cook so happily and getting more and more excited the further he goes makes me think he's the kind of player that really enjoys discovering the world and the kind of GM that enjoys creating worlds and seeing how said worlds evolved thru the players interactions
BTW, you are no Average Cook, you are "The Duke of RPG Cooking"!
One, loved the Atlantis reference! Two, your Meal looked great! Three, if you haven't already, would love to see you take on the Chicken Pocket Pies or the Asarius Meat Pies!
I don't see soda used often in these dishes but a mix between honey and mustard is used often in any kind of pork in cooking as well as sugary sauces to cover big pieces
I got yer four basic food groups! Beans, bacon, whiskey, and lard!
😂 one of my favorite movie quotes.
"Beans, bacon whiskey and lard." Disnep Atlantis.
Awesome Duke! Love the feel of the series and seeing you take the meals from book to Real Meal!!
I was not expecting an Atlantis reference but I am so happy
What fun!
Love a good scratch made baked beans!
It's a lost art form
The Atlantis movie really does deserve more love, same with Treasure Planet
This is b4 the video ended, but looks good so far :) Also when I use those thin baking tins I always put a thin metal one under no spill
Nice job Duke! Love the cooking and always leave me wanting more!
I'm really enjoying this series, but if you're going to continue (please do) then you have to get some proper baking tins.
Love these cooking vids! Keep it up!
6:28 ATLANTIS THE LOST EMPIRE!!!
Also dude- first time interacting with Marmalade?
It's honestly hilarious to see an adult so confused by all of these things I learned in my early teens, makes me feel like I'm better at baking and cooking XD
That looks delicious!
happy to see another Atlantis fan in the wild XD 6:25. I love the movie and the sequel
It is an absolute joy to watch someone not very experienced cook and discover that it's fun.
I always say everyone should know some basics. You don't have to be a master chef. You don't even have to follow the rules. As long as you enjoy cooking and make something you find tasty it is all that matters.
Yeah!!!! Chef Duke back in it again with the awesome food and cooking. This just made my day.
Thank you
Love your content.
The quote is "beans, bacon, whiskey, and lard."
im really enjoying your cooking content Duke keep it up its amazing even with the mess ups as you look like your really having fun
Duke: I am your average cook.
Me an intellectual: stats are 12 across the board. Just enough above average to be called special.
EDIT: Beans, Bacon, Whiskey, and Lard. It'll keep and keep and keep. -Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001)
Oh! Atlantis is such an underrated movie. I love it. Me and my friends quote it anytime we get together. ^^
Atlantis. . .dude that movie was AWEOME and 100% I quote it all the time!
Namely that lady: "we're all gonna die"
I'm shocked more people in the comments are bewildered by the soda-soaked meat. Sodas like coke and dr. pepper are a great tenderizer. Since they're acidic they make the meat more tender without actually changing the flavor much. And if you have it in your home anyway, may as well grab a can of coke for a pot roast!
Yay Atlantis reference!
id like to see his pantry afterwards with all these random open containers.
"Four basic food groups? I got chore basic food groups right here! Beans, bacon, whiskey, and lard."
- Disney's Atlantis
Having sometimes had marmalade instead of jelly for PBJs i did chuckle a little at Duke expecting it to pour
“Lettuce?!”, “I got your 4 basic food groups! Beans bacon whiskey and lard!”
Wow that commercial right at the reveal hahaha just like t.v.
That Atlantis quote was amazing 😂
6:30
How could i not recognise my favourite Disney movie of all time
Atlantis is a jem
Atlantis is an amazing movie
Duke, get with Max Miller of "Tasting History with Max Miller" the next time you did this, please. If you do, you could call it "Tasting Fantasy with Duke of OSD"...
I have done something similar using both beef, lamb, goat, & mutton too. Just swap out the pork for the other meats, Duke.
“I got your four basic food groups. Bacon, beans, whiskey, and lard.”
On-point Atlantis reference 😆they really DO need to make a live action, so much potential!
Atlantis was one of the best Disney movies I’m not sure how it fell under the radar.
Atlantis lost empire. "I got your 4 basic food groups. Beans, bacon, whiskey and lard"
10:13 Mmm steamed hams.😂 But seriously, looking great, enjoying this series.
I dunno if the book got stuffed cabbages, general tso, or pizza. Those my favorite.
nice Atlantis reference I approve
"I've never made baked beans" proceeds to pour prebaked beans out of a can instead of baking any beans
pro tip there is dijon mustard and DIJON mustard the one that comes in a plastic bottle usualy issnt that flavourfull
That is now the canon outro, you cannot change it and must do that every time 😂
Less than a minute into the video and I'm already like, "oohh, this is going to be bad for my cholesterol... WORTH IT!!" lol
Are we getting another dnd cooking series?
It's a D&D cookbook, so...yes?
I feel Atlantis would make a good Kingdom hearts level next to Treasure Planet
"Your four basic food groups are bacon, beans, whiskey, and lard!"
I love Atlantis so much
It's Pretty's Meal from Campaign 3!
You skipped a whole food group from that Atlantis quote my my guy
Altantis if you know you know and love, no one I know who has seen it, does not love it
I love the creaky turn of excellence.
Eyy, Atlantis reference.
Eyy, TF2 sound effect.
Ah Atlantis, the four basic food groups: Beans, Bacon, Whiskey, and Lard. Thanks Cookie
Next time you are working with a super sticky ingredient use cooking spray on the spoon or cup and it comes out easier
Atlantis: The Lost Empire - Cookie
Beans, bacon, WHISKEY, and lard. Cookie was... something
Really love seeing duke cook
13:36 French Duke!
If you make a hat, it needs to be a chef hat that says "Fwegwent"
I still want to see you delve into other geeky cookbooks. Recently, I did a couple of recipes from a book called “The Video Game Chef” and both turned out delicious. The Durr Burger from Fortnite was an interesting take on a teriyaki bacon burger, and the Koopasta was a great spinach pasta.
It's beans bacon whiskey and lard from atlantis.
Please make the gofeebepo! Bought the xandria cookbook because of you. I love your cooking shows
Atlantis does deserve more credit. So does Treasure Planet and Sinbad. Not all Disney, but you know.
I actually miss the taste judges... does the kitty help you cook?
"Infused in Dr Pepper" - I am concerned.
Looks really good! I would eat that.
Ah got yer four basic food groups! Beans, bacon, whiskey, and lard!
You forgot the 4 food group! Irish adult beverage!
he keeps sniffing things and I'm here like "Me too brother"
Wow 😂 orange goes in with the label,
Protip: like DMing, cooking requires planning and proper tools.
Atlantis is the movie and treasure planet needs love
Make a d and d setting equivalent for both?
Ohhh yeah the dnd cooking episode 🎉
Atlantis the lost empire! God bless. It and Treasure planet are underrated masterpieces.
Atlantis is absolutely underrated and deserves a live active remake.
.
.
.
... Also... Oregano IIS for savages!
We 100% need an Atlantis 1&2 live action
