Hi Samantha I wash and redo my hair every Saturday because after a week moisturizing it with water and applying oil I can't go with it especially when in twist. When I conrow I try 2 week and wash it in the conrows it also look messy. Lately it's been drying out quite frankly so I spritz water morning and evening and oil it.
With the girls I do the same but dont moisturize as often otherwise I will have to re do their hair daily if it gets water it become messy the little one's I plet it with pantihouse
I dont know how I should do it to hold for 3 weeks or a month
I have oils, sheabutter and deep conditioners.
They hair stay the same length.
I feel like relaxing as I am natural for so long now with nothing to show for it

@@bree1689 Do you try to avoid breakage at the ends? Maybe cornrows are not the right protective style for you or you do them too tight. Maybe they're not taken down carefully enough, resulting in breakage. The two most important things I prioritise when taking styles down are my roots and ends. I make sure to pull my hair apart gently from the roots to detangle that area because it gets matted and washing it like that makes it worse. Try to keep your hair in stretched styles because letting it shrink usually leads to tangles at the ends which can result in breakage. Maybe you're doing too much. All I use on my hair is rosewater mix (any sort of soft water) and hair grease. Start with the basics and get to know you and your daughters' hair first before adding more products to your regimen. I've been doing my hair since quarantine started in my country (around March) and I've learnt a lot, including that I'm not low porosity (which I always thought I was). I've learned to flat twist, bantu knot, part my hair, do mini twists, blow dry my hair, three-strand twists. It's a process. Just take your time and figure out what works. Some naturals wear their hair in twist outs all the time. Some use weaves and wigs to grow their hair. Find what's right for you.

I cannot believe how much Grandma's hair has grown. Amazing to me. I can see where her hair thickened up at the root. I'm in early 60's so I will give this method a try. 😊😊😊😊 thank you.

Hi Miss.Samantha,I am an African girl a Nigerian girl. My hair doesn't fall down like yours it always stays up.
I want to ask some questions, I and my sister are really interested in growing our hair to waist length, our hair is long to an extent,we have a goal that by the end of next year it should be waist length.
My first question is how often am I suppose to moisturize my hair and with what things?
How often should I deep condition my hair
What is the difference between conditioning and deep conditioning
Which essential oils are we supposed to use?
How can I know my hair type and how will I know which oil is best for my hair?
How will I know if my hair is growing?
How do I know if I'm retaining length?
I go to school,I am just 12 years I and my sister really want our hair to be long.
We would appreciate if you answer all our questions 🙂. Also please what artificial products did you use to grow your hair? Is it possible to make hair grow to waist length in a year?
Lastly, have you ever used rice water?
Sorry for asking all these questions I am just really curious.
    Thank you❤️
