  • Recently Justin Trudeau claimed the Indian government was implicated in the killing of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in BC. The accusation has led to a major diplomatic row, including the expulsion of diplomats, travel advisories and ending trade negotiations.
On Talking foreign policy: an internationalist perspective on Canada’s role abroad, Yves Engler interviews Indian Canadian activist and scholar Aparna Sundar on the credibility of Trudeau’s claim, Indian interference in Canada, whether the BJP is stoking divisions in Canada’s Indian community and how the assassination impacts Canada’s Indo Pacific Strategy.
