Fly Fishing Montana's Clark Fork River in October [Series Episode #20]

In this episode we are fly fishing for trout on a very nice October day, using streamers to catch and release some very nice Browns. It is October so, the Browns are starting to gather at tributary mouths and we get advice and flies from the local Kingfisher fly shop in Missoula Montana (www.kingfisher...) that streamers would be a good bet. We are successful with several different colors and sizes of the very popular Sparkle Minnow Sculpin pattern. I know Ladin always looses the fish that is "huge" and the biggest fish he has ever had on, but this time it really is true. We can see it jump before it gets off. A monster Brown trout and a tough loss. But he recovers quickly and catches a very nice replacement. What a beautiful Fall Montana day. Love it. I hope you enjoy this episode.
