  • In this episode we are fly fishing trout on a nice day in June. We use our drift boat to float a nice section from Dry Creek to St Regis using nymphs and dries to catch and release Rainbows and Cutthroats. Another fantastic day in the outdoors of Montana. I hope you enjoy this episode.
Fly Fishing with Ladin's primary purpose is to share fly fishing techniques and places to fly fish in the Western United States. We are a dedicated fly fishing UA-cam channel promoting catch and release fly fishing. Our motto is having fun catching and releasing fish. We want to share our passion with others. We are not professionals. We are passionate about fly fishing but we do not take ourselves to seriously. We show our mistakes, falling in, getting flies stuck in wrong places, loosing fish. The same things that all of us experience fly fishing. We have been fly fishing northwest waters for over forty years. But we are always learning new things that we like to pass along. We think our channel is a great place to get ideas for fly fishing vacations and weekend trips.
Thank you for taking the time to check out our channel and watch our videos. We hope you enjoy them and sure would 👏appreciate your support by subscribing to our channel. Every single one helps. I got a tip for you Ladin, keep your line tight and a bend in your rod. You might get one in that way😁

I try to keep my butt section of fly rod about 90 degree to where the fish is thus using the flex of the fly rod. NOT having the drag set too tight will help keep the fish from pulling the rod tip straight to them.

I can’t wait to get to Montana!!
I’m with you guys though. A few whitefish are cool, but if you’re in them too long, it’s a bit frustrating. Especially when you know there are big trout to catch! Those Clark Fork Rainbows look super healthy! Nice show guys! Keep them coming!

We made it an 8 hour float but we spent lots of time stopping. Not sure exact flows but it is June so fairly high but not high enough to be to mirky.
