@MrXy71 I was just going on what Julian said in an interview that ppl thought it was Daniel Johns who sang the chorus but in actual fact it was Julian himself that sung it.
He uses samplers, there's no 'actual prerecorded' stuff going on. There's lots of improvisation. The Presets are basically the only electronic-ish group Ive come to really like and theyve got me into stuff like skinny puppy
Well thats the thing with electro artists. Because everything is made by just two guys instead of a group of people like bands, they don't (can't) actually play everthing live. There are several ways that electro artists do live gigs, some just dj it like the bloody beetroots and some do a combination of djing and live remixing like daft punk and some just choose to play some bits and have the rest playing through sequencers.
Skinny Puppy is not a good comparison. Having your tonsils out doesn't equate to this song. However, I would compare them to DAF. Simple, monotonic, and somewhat simple lyrics.
