Bro same. I think it's got to do with music evolution and people's attention spans. Whenever I listen to new songs it feels like my ears are being assaulted with non-stop loud noises. Like they were made for Tiktok sound bytes.
Listening to older music feels like my eardrums are getting a rest and I can actually enjoy it. Even Presets whose style is loud still sounds muted compared to the obnoxious crap being pumped out today.
God I know! They are the one of the godfathers of Australian electronica and brilliant in every way.

I have been waiting for years a band that could take my breath away like the bands from the 80s did. This band does it, every track is incredible. Their training and talent is amazing.

I'm gonna take a moment to be self-indulgent here- I was around 16 when Apocalypso was released and I thought the whole album was so great, it was a type of music I hadn't heard much of before. So I wanted to show my friends but when I did they didn't appreciate it in the slightest. It's 2017 and I still love the Presets' music just as much, while those friends have all grown out of the music they were listening to at the time.

The Presets have got to do more songs like this. Utilising the deep vocals instead of electronic music. I love their other music but this song and Ghosts stand out.

This has to be one of my favorite music videos ever...There's just something about it, the way it builds...There's a sort of tangible exhilaration to the dancing and everything. I don't know quite how to say it, haha.

true, I'm from central Europe (Slovakia) and know them very well, but I'm sure not so much people here know about them, but it's still one of the world's best bands in this music category and I know many of them, these boys are really good at what they do and definitely one of the best in Australia (and one of the most famous abroad) :)

The best part, you usually get a bunch of 25-40 year olds going wild for them. Very few zoomers.

This songs originality is what drew me in, the slightly off beat singing makes sets it apart and they carry it off in a way I wouldn't have thought would work. There are very few bands that can carry the sound that the Presets offer. This is such a beautiful song and I love the film clip.
And that's precisely how those pesky dancing street gangs get formed! Just like the ones in "West-Side Story".
