It was a fun battle to be a part of. Again, we all started somewhere so if there are new players in this tourney so be it. They are still learning and after the match we all spoke with each other. There were plenty of ggs thrown to each of the players. Thanks for covering this Apollo.

Indeed. The defenders don't know how to hold the walls they just stick to the town buildings thinking that they maybe able to avoid the range attacks but.... look at the results

It’s ironic how the Hungry Wolves (A team with a reputation for being really good) gets paired against this (probably) new and inexperienced team.
Not probably I can guarantee none of the defenders have more than 50 hours i saw so many mistakes I couldn’t keep watching past 10 mins cuz it was just frustrating but I guess we all start somewhere but the title was definitely misleading I thought i was about to see great strategies against great players but instead I just watched some greeks get bullied

I think the bactrian player was a 7 yo kid. the whole battle was so painful to watch.. but I did for PA's sake.

Ur gonna need a decent pc for newer titles, but u can play older titled like Medieval 2 on just about anything.

Half the time I was just watching Macedon and being like, "Are they even playing the game?" There was a chunk of time they weren't even moving any troops on the field.

I'm assuming their strategy was to hold out for the 1 hour mark, rather than trying to kill every enemy

7:10 i was hoping, after having seen macedon, to have a cavalry charge Inside the Walls to wipe out the light infantry capturing point companions and all that jazz… it would not have been very practical in a siege but it would have been funny.
The last call was either 1 person controling 3 armies or they were just drunk lmao

Yo pixelated apollo I watched one of your videos and on it you said whenever in a cavalry battle always charge in diamond formation. I took that advice and applied it. I haven't lost a cav battle since!!

Apollo way computer do u play on because when I play warhamer it's like 0.0001 fps
Graphics card processor is super important. My I7 processor with GTX 960 graphics card runs all total wars on ultra very well

Mr cheese997 I asked Apollo recently and he has a GTX 1080ti which was a $800 -$1000 graphics card when it first came out and still holding at like $600. It’s about just as good as the newer 2080

most of us are cursing bactrian player because he actually spread mess macedon and sparta are more of defensive armies. But bactria could got very cheap hillmen(melee unit) which are not bad if used wisely as hillmen could be deployed on walls along with the archers support. Walls are actually very defensive and favourable for defenders. some cheap unit on walls might break heavy infantry or atleast may get a lot kills . And this is the point where you can equalise the balance of power before attackers actually entering the town.

which app are you using for this spectate view?
I know why archers on walls can be great but i never do that as an attacker because they are very exposed to enemy missile units. Your missile units on the walls will melt very fast.

Lol. I just watched the siege tournament from like 6 months ago with Hungry Wolves vs. EuroBoys
I think it is better if you have to capture the arrow tower, but if you think about it, why would you need more than like 10 men or so to man a tower (or even fewer), so I think this way is actually more realistic.
TheFlyingKaramazovBrothers well if you want to play the realistic game why would you have holes in your arrow tower facing your own city.

@@keithallen6339 "I have the high ground!" But in a siege battle with thousands of men, some could control the walls and still fire down from them, while others did battle on the ground.
If you let attackers get into the city with a high balance of power, there are more chances of attackers' victory. So never lose walls without a fight. Atleast 2 cheap unit must be there at walls to engage the attackers, to get some kills, to get them tired a little and may be they lose some much needed ammo to get the walls.
Is it just me or does Apollo often call Macedon 'Mastodon'?

Yes I need a Rome 2 vid to see what it’s like more up to date I’m getting it in like a week on bday(yeah I’m new to total war that’s why I’m so late with it) Attila aswell, any good mods suggest for Rome 2, the only one I know about is divide et impera
Also, if you’re getting the game and want the unit sizes to be the same as Pixie’s, you need to go to the pause menu, then Graphics>Advanced Options and then switch up the unit sizes
