For those searching for the field scenes, now it is called ¨Final Fantasy VII HD Scenes¨ from Jusete, Team Avalanche, SoulEvan and it was recategorized to field textures.
@@jamesrussell3436 I was looking for this too. Maybe it's now "Project/Edge Team Avalanche Remodeled Fields" ??? I'm thinking so since he mentions specifically "Project Edge" in the video when he's talking about this mod.
For everyone commenting about not finding the NinoStyle Vehicle Models mod: That has since been incorporated into the NinoStyle Field Models mods, both the Chibi and HD versions. FuzzfingerGaming recommends the NinoStyle Chibi Field Models mod later in the video anyways. So just download that one and you'll be fine.
Small pet peeve, but you really should call the mods by the names that are actually IN 7th heaven. There is no 'Project Edge' in the mod manager, just 'Final Fantasy VII HD Field Scenes'. Would make it far less confusing for people who genuinely have no idea what they are doing. Other than that this was extremely helpful in giving my number 1 favorite game a breath of new life.
The problem isn't the this guy, it's the modder themselves. They need to stop changing the name of the mods and retain it to the same name with an update number affixed to it (ex: Battle BG HD Textures v1.12 and if it's updated, rename it to lets say: Battle BG HD Textures v1.20). They tend to change the names due to combining mods or changing the aspect of the mod which causes the confusion.
A tip have the list of mods in the description of the video so it we can just copy paste the name of the mods into 7th heaven. Otherwise great video :)
I'm glad that I played it with mods again! It was amazing! And you can activate the steam achievements in 7th Heaven under Game Driver settings -> Steam Compability to get your juicy achievements as well! As FMV I recommend Cosmos FMW. I downloaded 7th Heaven just over a year ago, and it sure makes modding a lot easier! It’s so nice to have such a great video to talk us through the best modding set up! Much appreciated, and I’m excited to hop in again!
Love the mods for ff7. So incredibly awesome. New threat is phenomenal, it really maximizes the game's potential in my opinion; Sega Chief is a genius. Don't even wanna play vanilla anymore because new threat is that good, unless it's some kind of challenge run.
So I have been LOVING all of these mods~ I have a habit of playing FF7 once a year, just going through and enjoying my favorite game and tale. But this really refreshed it all for me. Especially the new threat 2.0 B! Having so much shaken up really makes it fresh again. And actually getting surprised and really amazed by new things in a game I thought I knew from top to bottom is such a thrill. Thanks for this all. I'm terrible when it comes to understanding how to mod things, but this helped me get through it with no problems, and this whole thing has really ignited my love for this game to its fullest.
I started playing Final Fantasy when 10 came out for the PS2. I'd never thought about playing the older games until I finished 16 3 days ago and I just had that itch to continue with the series. With the steam sale happening it's time to play 7, 8 and 9. Thank you very much for making this video and I'm surprised all the information is still up to date almost a year later. Going through and downloading most of the mods you've recommended, and I'm excited to play with them (and others) and see how it changes the game. The trilogy of _VII, VIII_ and _IX_ were always some of my favorite games (right up there with the original _Mortal Kombat, Ocarina of Time_ and other classics of their era), and I have a lot of fond memories of playing them growing up in the 90's and early 2000's. It's gonna be fun playing _VII_ with new settings. I've never really done a lot of PC gaming or mods, so this will certainly be an adventure! Thanks for such a great resource!

Careful with Cosmo memory. It can break your sound if you toggle it on and off. I like to the extra features you can toggle on or off, but I don't like the actual sound overhaul because it makes things sound anemic, so I was using it sometimes, and disabling it sometimes. Until it made half the game's sounds stop working completely it's a mod was disabled. Easily fixable, but not something I wanted to deal with.
This isn't Cosmo Memory's fault. The FFnx.toml file can get stuck whenever the game crashes, making the settings at the time of the crash the new "default" even if you turn CM or any other mod on or off. This will be fixed eventually (if it hasn't already. I haven't checked in a while).
@@WTurner859 well yeah updating that file, or rather refreshing it, since there was no new version to update to, was indeed the fix. However, I've never had a crash while playing. So whatever caused the issue with the file was a result of Simply enabling and disabling the mod.

FF7 Remix v2.5.1 was by far my favorite back in the day. But this guide is the closest to that. I prefer the sprites that looked a tad more like in battle though. Great Video!

Is there no save-anywhere/savestate option/mod for this? How come.. I tried this guide and the game is beautiful now. I also added the EchoS full voiceover on top.
I've followed your advice kind sir. However. My game save file doesn't load with this 7th heaven mod. So it's just trying to force me to play a new game. But if I load back into the steam version without 7th heaven, my save is there. Perplexing things.
Just note that you will need to turn Echo S options off in the enhanced stock ui configuration. I was getting crashes in battles on Steam deck with this option on.
I'm getting crashes on the intro mission in the t section of the mako reactor on the battle with two soldiers and the flying unit. Did you also have new threat on? Trying this now.

All of these are great. I want to have these next time I play FF7. The only thing I am hoping to add is maybe a translation or dialogue fix. Something to keep spell names in line with modern FF conventions. Firaga instead of Fire 3 for example.
Great video, I had it set up but now im having an issue. 60/30 fps battles (Still in early stages but look really good)
New threat 2.0 - For anybody who wants a new experience or a definitive version of the game
Cosmo memory - I think it's called, it adds a day and night cycle, footstep sounds, and RTX this applies shaders on the polygon models to make them look clean
High definition character portraits - Makes the portraits look clean
Remako or other HD pre rendered background mods
Modern spell names - Example Fire 3 is now Firaga just like in other titles
No mouths - If it bothers you
Re-animted FMV's - Just came out
(All of these are in the mod manager pre loaded, you can get the HD portraits on nexus mods)

I don't know if this is what you had but if it was then gg
So helpful - thank you!
Damn you for making me install and play this game yet again!
This was great, thank you!
I try and try to get into the new game, but I just can't this makes the OG one like the hd release we should have got. Thank you.
FF7 Remix v2.5.1 was by far my favorite back in the day. But this guide is the closest to that. I prefer the sprites that looked a tad more like in battle though. Great Video!
Hey Fuzz. Fellow Christian gamer here. I'm getting ready to jump into modding FFVII. The chibi style is cool but I was wondering if you could recommend a character mod that makes them look more realistic? I saw one a decade or so ago but I can't remember the name. Thanks!
Amazing video, thank you very much for this
ok can someone help i have project edge and syw v5 field texture on in seventh heaven when you get off of the trane heading to seventh heaven bar it looks good but when you get to where the piller is and seventh heaven bar the quality goes back to original in this area the other area is after you jump off the train its orginal up till you get to the reactor area then it becomes good again how do i fix this?
Thank you so much for this vid! Good content :)
Anyone got this popping up whenever you load a save? 'An Invalid Inition Stage was Detected This save File was not started with NT 2.0 installed, character stats and equipment will not be set as intended. Please start from a new game. I screen shot the character stats and they were the same when I loaded but I have no idea how to get the annoying message off. Edit* Enhanced Stock UI has to be above SYW v5 Menu and Fonts, (project edge = Enhanced Stock UI. It was stated in the video but the name change confused me lol, Great video Fuzzfinger GG
Great video and these mods look incredible! Thanks for doing this, gonna come back to this soon, cheers :)
Thank you!!! I can play it again in a different feel
Is there no save-anywhere/savestate option/mod for this? How come..
I tried this guide and the game is beautiful now. I also added the EchoS full voiceover on top.
Great presentation, thanks. - Chrysalis
I've followed your advice kind sir. However. My game save file doesn't load with this 7th heaven mod. So it's just trying to force me to play a new game. But if I load back into the steam version without 7th heaven, my save is there. Perplexing things.
Excellent video!! Earned my sub.
What's the song at 13:29, please ? wonderful video, subscribed 1
OMG THIS FIXED IT!! YOURE THE MAN!
Amazing video. I didn't even know it was so easy to mod this game. But it is working perfectly on my. PC. You always come up with some. Amazing final fantasy guides. Thank you.👍👍😁❤️
All of these are great. I want to have these next time I play FF7. The only thing I am hoping to add is maybe a translation or dialogue fix. Something to keep spell names in line with modern FF conventions. Firaga instead of Fire 3 for example.
OUTSTANDING ViDEO My Guy!!! This made it seem so eZ! Thank you!
Thank you Michael, that's very kind of you!
Great video, I had it set up but now im having an issue. As it starts the game a window pops up with the drive, and it says ff7disc1 file and it’s empty, I was messing around and deleted it🤦🏼♂️ I tried a fresh install on both but it says the same thing, the game starts but I hit new game and it won’t load. How do I get the ff7disc1 info back? It worked ok till I deleted that information
When i want to launch it it says "object référence normalement set to an instance of an object"
Yeah love my modded version of FF7, I noticed you mentioned that the steam version has the Battle Toggles like the PS4 version, but I believe they got removed from the Steam version as can't find anyway to activate them
Yeah I think the only cheats is the character boost from the website
What should I do if my game keeps crashing on 7th Heaven on startup even though it says "successfully launched FF7"?
Wow! The new models look amazing 1:11 I did play it with lots of mods on a couple of years ago and it was amazing but these models look superb!
Nice video! This is a fairly easy way for a first time player like myself to have a more accessible and less dated experience.
