I have watched so many videos that when I hear the 2 long, 1 short (edit: is that the right combo?) of a train making a grade crossing, I find myself wondering if I've caught the most recent repair/shop tour/lot cleanup.

I've been a shade tree mechanic since I was 14 (I'm 53 now). I have learned a TON from watching your videos and watching how you approach diagnosis, repair and maintenance. I rarely use mechanics, but if had to, I'd be lucky to find one like you.
I like you Ray, I've been watching your videos off and on for a very long time. There's not just a-holes watching you that feel like writing a smart comment after one video or something. I've learned a lot too, just recently those assembly/disassembly skills helped me fix a dishwasher which was a lot more difficult than I'd think. Thanks for making awesome hands on content, man, I appreciate you.

Nothing like getting a plane out of hanger queen status, after a long lead time on parts. The challenge is, who took it apart, where are all the parts removed to FOM, and where are the fasteners.... makes life interesting 🤔

I think we called long term buggered one's spare parts. Quicker than getting stuff from the stackers. One spent 8 months grounded after multiple bird suicide via air intake and jet engine, tore up the intake tube, fuselage etc..... splattered seagull isn't the most pleasant of odours.... now I think back I can still haer the tinkle of shattered turbine stages, rotor and stator vanes as they dropped the engine out. Thank you so much for stirring up fond memories of a life I miss dearly :-) nice one

You can probably get a much bigger shop when the dealerships go out of business because they can't sell a $115,000 truck and the manufacturers don't give them vehicles to sell. Also, don't pay that much attention to the googans who hate. I would guess that almost all of us watching are fans and appreciate you and your wife. Why else would people like me get up at 0400 and watch you? Keep the good work up!

Has a younger tech and shop owner I enjoy watching these to see what different tools you use to reach certain areas and the various methods you use to remove and install stuff. I've been watching since you were at the place that shall not be named, ignore the negativity, you are a great person and a hard worker, you essentially have 2 Jobs, the garage and Editing these videos. Most of the "Keyboard Warriors" have no clue. Keep doing you man!
I am an old guy that has done only a small bit of wrenching over the years. When the dealer told me that my Highlander with 55K needed to have the throttle body cleaned for $150, I said “No thank you” and took it home and did it myself. Having been inspired by your videos that have shown the process, I performed that service on the Highlander and on my Lexus. Side note: neither of them were dirty at all.
Toyota dealers are terrible take it to a local shop.
But keeping them clean does help a lot. Not time to do my one again, it has been a year, will do it with the oil and filter change. Was at a shop and found a few oil filters that are the correct Z156, bought the entire stock, because they had been on the shelf for 15 years, older than my vehicle, and were still at the price from 15 years before. Got 2 left of the 3.
Doctors aren't the only ones who prescribe placebos! Good on ya!
So much fun when you watch the GM guys put this entire engine in from the bottom and connect all of those wonderful connections in three minutes or less! Silly engineers!

I thought you and your wife working together was amazing I like the fact that you are a family run business anyway while I don't like that people were rude to you both I actually think it's great that she's getting more screen time from what I have seen it looks like she takes care of the other aspects of your business allowing you to focus on your job don't let the negative comments get to you
I haven't been paying attention to comment land lately, sad that people are being rude. I had been of the opinion that it was super cute and cool that Ray and Wife unit are spending more time and vibing together in the shop, it really has been feeling like we are all there just hanging out in the shop like I used to do with several of my friends.

I remember back when Lauren was camera shy and didn’t want to filmed by Ray. How things have changed….. for the better. It helps her to learn more about the different parts of vehicles. Also, Eric O’s wife Vanessa helps when he needs an extra pair of hands.

Don’t understand why you would get rude comments. I notice that there are lots and lots of Aussies like myself who follow and enjoy your channel. Ignore the negative people, they’re a tiny minority. Your shop is looking great by the way. Every time there’s a camera sweep you can see in the background that it’s getting more and more organised. You are both doing a great job.

Look at the woman who was in the news for the defund the police. She was in a violent carjacking and now she has changed her mind about it. Lmao😂😂😂😂 I had to deal with both bad policemen and good police officers and I will never defund them.

My first guess as to why someone would proclaim that fixing a police vehicle would get you sued is that the commentor is or is related/friends to the shop that has the maintenance contract.

It is an occupation trained to lie to get admissions and sent out to gather revenue in the form of tickets (and civil asset forfeiture, but that's a much uglier horse for a different barn).
Ray and Lauren, keep up the great work you are doing. You are running a successful business, and that is upsetting some people. To quote Denzel Washington, “Some people will never like you because your spirit irritates their demons.”

All the haters are keyboard warriors who probably wouldn’t know one end of a spanner (or wrench) from another. Many of them won’t have even changed a wheel - forget them ( being polite trying not to get a strike from swearing ) love you, the team and everything you guys do.
I've been following your channel since your days at that other shop Ray. I always enjoy your content and your banter while you repair these vehicles. Keep up the great work! I also enjoy Lauren in the shop with you too, she brings a "ray" of sunshine to the videos every time she's in one. I'd like to see more of Dave in the videos too but we know that he's not too fond of being on camera.

Great series on a fairly nasty job. Glad it worked out to be the injectors as you suspected. Which somewhat supports your belief that they were not exactly the best to begin with. Although without knowing how long they were in there it could be they are just old and tired and their time was up. Definitely looking forward to seeing your visit to the company to see what they're doing to improve them. It is refreshing that they did admit they had issues and were taking steps to fix them. You keep wrenching and we'll keep watching.

Seems like an overly complicated design.......but Ray is up to the challenge.
I'm not saying it's a walk in the park but when you work on cars/trucks every day it becomes memory and rep not as tough as you think. Get to know by memory, and common sense.

Just a note that might be useful.
When installing a valve cover with silicon gasket.
I find 2 bolts that can match the threads, cut off the head and use them as guide pins.
Place them in a couple of holes and slide the cover down over them.
That way I won't be worried about slipping and messing up my gasket.
I can't hold the valve cover as still as you can.

What in the holy hell is the issue you people who are complaining about in this perfectly cut and dried situation?? The company contacts Ray asks is this personal? Ray says nope going on the reviews of your product, company ADMITS yep those one you removed were terrible and we happy to admit it. They say we've improved come and see them being made. Ray says OK. Can we send you a set of new ones to install. Ray says sorry customer requested these others we've ordered and got. Company says OK can we give you some to install at some point and Ray says thank you. END OF STORY some people love making up conspiracies. Ray, social media can sometimes…..well always, bring out the worst in people. Maybe it’s the anonymity of it, but they say things they would not normally say to you in person. I agree with you on the comment's you said pertaining to police officer's. If there wasn't any cops to enforce laws, can you imagine how much worse crime would be..? Sobering thought. The way I look at it if people aren't breaking the law then there should be no fear of police, just respect because their job is to uphold and enforce law, which can be dangerous. Wife unit probably gets bored and is being productive for the day at first she was camera why but she's getting use to it not just that its nice to have her help and nice to see her stay happy and keep up t he entertainment
I don’t know why you just didn’t drive the bushings back on the alternator bracket. Would have made install much more easier. Instead of prying on the alternator fins.
Law enforcement in every country is fantastic provided that those who carry out the duties do not miss use their positions and anyway or see themselves above the law. Serve and protect is pretty much a national standard of what law enforcement is about

The way i see haters is "if you have haters you are doing something right" and "haters make us famous" . Ignore them and let them chat, they're just pushing you up in the algorithm. Love your videos and keep em coming!

In regards to the law enforcement stuff... It really depends on individual within the law enforcement force. Some are power hungry cucks that truthfully shouldn't even be allowed in such positions, while there are plenty of those who actually do good for their communities, and the ones who do good are quite respectable.
