I like you Ray, I've been watching your videos off and on for a very long time. There's not just a-holes watching you that feel like writing a smart comment after one video or something. I've learned a lot too, just recently those assembly/disassembly skills helped me fix a dishwasher which was a lot more difficult than I'd think. Thanks for making awesome hands on content, man, I appreciate you.

Nothing like getting a plane out of hanger queen status, after a long lead time on parts. The challenge is, who took it apart, where are all the parts removed to FOM, and where are the fasteners.... makes life interesting 🤔
Hanger Queen stories are funny and at the same time true. Altho I retired from the Air Force in 1987, I still remembr a ot of them. Thanks James for your post. LOL@@James-dm6ey

I've been a shade tree mechanic since I was 14 (I'm 53 now). I have learned a TON from watching your videos and watching how you approach diagnosis, repair and maintenance. I rarely use mechanics, but if had to, I'd be lucky to find one like you.

Great video ray!!! Please dont let the ppl out there give you a difference of opinion! Wife unit does what she does with a smile cuz she is part of the overall rainman ray experience! Don't know if I'll ever own a diesel engine vehicle, however, watching your videos Ray has taught me a lot about them so thank you for the education. As for trolls that make inappropriate comments about your wife, family or staff, I hope you're banning them.
Haters gonna hate. Keep doing what you do and ignore those people. They probably did a similar job with their trucks and botched it, sending the hate your way for no reason.
LOVE the sound of a Duramax idling. Sounds like it's choochooing and saying, TORQUE TORQUE LET'S GO. Never knew anything about a diesel engine. Watching your series of videos on this has taught me a lot. One, don't do the work yourself...lol. But, I always wondered how it worked without a spark plug and where were those injectors and how did they work. Now, I think I have a basic understanding. Thanks for the tag along. Wish I could bring my 2005 5.3 Silverado to you and have you run the gauntlet on what needs done..injectors, coils, valve and oil pan gaskets, timing set, oil pump, water pump, and the who shebang. It runs RICH. I mean VERY RICH. Kick it a little and see smoke out the exhaust, strong of gas. BUT, you're 14 hours away and no way I would drive it that far. It would eat about 4 tanks of gas to get there alone. So, local man here will get it when I get the about 4 grand it will take to do the full monte to it. Take care.
I haven't been paying attention to comment land lately, sad that people are being rude. I had been of the opinion that it was super cute and cool that Ray and Wife unit are spending more time and vibing together in the shop, it really has been feeling like we are all there just hanging out in the shop like I used to do with several of my friends.
I think it is awesome you put wife in your videos I feel awesome when southman dose it that shows you have a family channel, So keep on the keeping on my brother from another mother you're awesome. I am always watching your channel . Family everything stay honest.
I've been following your channel since your days at that other shop Ray. I always enjoy your content and your banter while you repair these vehicles. Keep up the great work! I also enjoy Lauren in the shop with you too, she brings a "ray" of sunshine to the videos every time she's in one. I'd like to see more of Dave in the videos too but we know that he's not too fond of being on camera.
Your glad to be here and I'm super glad to be here. Don't mind the haters as they love you too, they just don't know how to communicate it. Love your videos so much, sometimes I'll watch em twice. Keep being you Ray!
So just a shameless plug for the merch store. Just ordered my hat and coffee mug and I have to say, I have never had such an easy time with an online order! Once I receive them, I will add a plug with photos. Like with Ray's repairs, quality matters!
I am an old guy that has done only a small bit of wrenching over the years. When the dealer told me that my Highlander with 55K needed to have the throttle body cleaned for $150, I said “No thank you” and took it home and did it myself. Having been inspired by your videos that have shown the process, I performed that service on the Highlander and on my Lexus. Side note: neither of them were dirty at all.
But keeping them clean does help a lot. Not time to do my one again, it has been a year, will do it with the oil and filter change. Was at a shop and found a few oil filters that are the correct Z156, bought the entire stock, because they had been on the shelf for 15 years, older than my vehicle, and were still at the price from 15 years before. Got 2 left of the 3.
STILL ❤ YOUR VIDEOS...I WAS A CAREER GLASS GUY...NOW 75 & IN TUCSON, AZ...BORN N RAISED IN SO CAL...(Darkness is very foreboding today...end days Brother) BUT A SHADETREE MECHANIC MYSELF... HOBBY STUFF...KEEP ON KEEPING ON....I AM SURE GOOD COMMENTS OUTWEIGHS NEGATIVE ..👍🇺🇲💪😎💯👀❤️🔥
Freaking amazing how your connector & hose reconnection memory / intuition kicks in as you reassemble items disassembled last month. Kudos for that amazing job 🎉
I'm not saying it's a walk in the park but when you work on cars/trucks every day it becomes memory and rep not as tough as you think. Get to know by memory, and common sense.
I have the😂 LB7 in my 02 GMC and it took my mechanic 8 months to get it back together and now I see why... Thanks for the videos Ray.BTW 262,000+ miles on it
What in the holy hell is the issue you people who are complaining about in this perfectly cut and dried situation?? The company contacts Ray asks is this personal? Ray says nope going on the reviews of your product, company ADMITS yep those one you removed were terrible and we happy to admit it. They say we've improved come and see them being made. Ray says OK. Can we send you a set of new ones to install. Ray says sorry customer requested these others we've ordered and got. Company says OK can we give you some to install at some point and Ray says thank you. END OF STORY some people love making up conspiracies. Keep up the good work Ray and well done Diesel Logic for happily admitting the injectors WERE bad.🤷♀️🤷♀️
Great series on a fairly nasty job. Glad it worked out to be the injectors as you suspected. Which somewhat supports your belief that they were not exactly the best to begin with. Although without knowing how long they were in there it could be they are just old and tired and their time was up. Definitely looking forward to seeing your visit to the company to see what they're doing to improve them. It is refreshing that they did admit they had issues and were taking steps to fix them. You keep wrenching and we'll keep watching.
Hey there. We love her also, not just you Ray. Joking We love you Ray also, not just our wife unit. Glad y'all are here and are protected from all sides, and from the bad thing that are out there. Thanks and way to keep it going.
love all your videos no matter what is said your doing a great job and your wife is so brave dont see many girls wanting to work on cars just keep turning the negative into positive and keep up the good work
I've been watching since you worked at the dealership, found through a transmission repair channel that no longer exists. I like the long video. "Keep on truckin"
I have a 2003 with the LB7. I had the pad on my #7’s rocker arm’s pad decided to leave the chat. Every time you’re in there anyway. I would check the lash. Mine went form .012 to over 10 times that. I’m very grateful that I didn’t have a catastrophic failure. 1 and 3 were both chipped.
Man o Man, sometimes I think your going to break a bolt. I can feel my heart start to speed up as you crank away. Love your videos and glad to see Wife Unit get more involved.
Good morning Ray I've been watching your videos for over a year and I don't see anything wrong with what you done as a matter of fact you amaze me. You've built a business out of nothing! Godspeed
Staying in touch with home vicariously through your and Lauren’s vids, Ray. Don’t change. We all wince initially when we hear criticism about our work or products. Sounds like they focused on it already resulting in a better product. Looking forward to what your regular viewers know will be an equally unbiased and forthright Rainman Ray review after your factory tour. Btw, who else except you tackles such jobs in exceptional detail? They should be grateful to prove their improvements. From South Africa.
I'm with you and Lauren on everything you do for your customers and your viewers..somehow the trolls have found a new energy drink and have been tweeking here of late ignore the trolls ray you are the better man......

Lol, maybe its all this nasty weather. I've watched you for a long time and enjoy your opinions. And jokes and general attitude and attention to detail. Dont understand why folks would get all riled up over minor stuff...
For those saying you can't work a police vehicle, Not every municipality has a Municipal Garage to maintain and repair their vehicles. Seen many of our local police vehicles at private repair shops over the years. Forget the RRREEEE crowd. You folks are doing a fine job! Keep it up!!!
Haters will hate Ray.... the reason they hate is because they have never learned how to appreciate honor, dignity and hard work... keep being Ray and Wife Unit.... we all who look forward to your content need your great personality to help us through these less than desirable times😅
HI RAY, LOVE THE VIDEOS I ENJOY NOT KNOWING WHAT YOUR WORKING ON NEXT, I HAVE LEARNED AND USED WHAT YOU HAVE SHOWN, MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY RICHLY.😊😊
Don’t listen you do you ray. Watch you everyday and wish my business and channel was as well run as yours. My aim this year is to get my own premises watching you helps to motivate me. Thank you
I don’t know why you just didn’t drive the bushings back on the alternator bracket. Would have made install much more easier. Instead of prying on the alternator fins.
In regards to the law enforcement stuff... It really depends on individual within the law enforcement force. Some are power hungry cucks that truthfully shouldn't even be allowed in such positions, while there are plenty of those who actually do good for their communities, and the ones who do good are quite respectable.
I'm with you Ray! I will NEVER work on one of these pigs! Haters gonna hate but I like your frivolous remarks attempting to make a good day out of mundane tasks.

Ray I feel like saying YOU ARE AWESOME! And keep the saying "they hate us because they ain't us" close to heart. Haters mean your doing it right
Your glad to be here and I'm super glad to be here.
Toyota dealers are terrible take it to a local shop.
Doctors aren't the only ones who prescribe placebos! Good on ya!
Seems like an overly complicated design.......but Ray is up to the challenge.
I'm not saying it's a walk in the park but when you work on cars/trucks every day it becomes memory and rep not as tough as you think. Get to know by memory, and common sense.
You have no bad videos. I enjoy all of them thank u very much. ❤❤❤❤
Some people are unable to handle the success of others. You are doing amazingly well and I love the content you create.
its nice to see wife out the office to see what you have to do to complete a job from start to finish well done wife unit.
I have the😂 LB7 in my 02 GMC and it took my mechanic 8 months to get it back together and now I see why... Thanks for the videos Ray.BTW 262,000+ miles on it
"my mechanic" and "8 months" sounds like you did the work yourself lol. Glad it's back together
I’m with you Ray! Much respect from North East England
Mate, you're the best mechanic I've ever seen. You got me into becoming a mechanic! I just have to love my job so much I keep having to do it twice
You make the hard job look easy . Love watching your channel. 👍🇺🇸
Ray. I think it is awesome that you have your wife to help you . People that leave bad comments have nothing better to do..
Great video Ray ! Love it when Lauren makes an appearance. She’s your life and business partner after all. 🙂
Hey there. We love her also, not just you Ray.
Joking We love you Ray also, not just our wife unit.
Glad y'all are here and are protected from all sides, and from the bad thing that are out there. Thanks and way to keep it going.
love all your videos no matter what is said your doing a great job and your wife is so brave dont see many girls wanting to work on cars just keep turning the negative into positive and keep up the good work
Congrats on getting a great wife! she is a keeper for shure!
I don't understand why the hate. I really enjoy both of your channels and the Wife Unit channel.
Good morning Ray I've been watching your videos for over a year and I don't see anything wrong with what you done as a matter of fact you amaze me. You've built a business out of nothing! Godspeed
Nice to see WifeUnit out in the shop, cherifies the place.... ... .. .
I do not care who does the videos as long as they keep coming . thanks for the video
I'm with you and Lauren on everything you do for your customers and your viewers..somehow the trolls have found a new energy drink and have been tweeking here of late ignore the trolls ray you are the better man......
This Aussie is right with you Ray and your darling Wife.
Been with you from the struggle start brother. Keep on keeping on.
Ray at the 1.11.11 point of the video when the Duramax comes alive you get real giddy and your joy jumps through the screen ! Great to hear a man who honestly enjoys his job . Great video.
Hey Ray; You've got 545 thousand of us subscribed so far because we like the content so you must be doing something right. Just ignore the all the trolls, haters and judgmental types.
Ray love your videos your so smart and bright nice to see your wife out in the shop too..just remember ray this world is filled with all walks of life and attitude..good and bad mate just keep pushing forward we love you and your videos thanks for being there 👍☮
Don't stress Ray... You and Wife Unit are awesome!!!!!!
Lol, maybe its all this nasty weather. I've watched you for a long time and enjoy your opinions. And jokes and general attitude and attention to detail. Dont understand why folks would get all riled up over minor stuff...
Because they’re losing their minds
For those saying you can't work a police vehicle, Not every municipality has a Municipal Garage to maintain and repair their vehicles. Seen many of our local police vehicles at private repair shops over the years. Forget the RRREEEE crowd. You folks are doing a fine job! Keep it up!!!
Haters be a haten! They can all take a long walk off a short pier! Hey the job is the job, all you can do is your best!
I learned quite a bit watching your videos. I think you would make a good teacher.😊
Don’t listen you do you ray. Watch you everyday and wish my business and channel was as well run as yours. My aim this year is to get my own premises watching you helps to motivate me. Thank you
I don't see any rude comments? You are soaring on the wings of your audience from the comments that I see. Keep up the good work I say.
It was a few videos ago, the pure Hatred was THICK! 99% of the viewers are absolutely fantastic people. ❤️
You are doing a great job and keep up the great work. Thank you for what you do.
Ray, I like the addition to your introduction. It's always nice to have a pretty addition to mix, too.
I don’t know why you just didn’t drive the bushings back on the alternator bracket. Would have made install much more easier. Instead of prying on the alternator fins.
Wife unit is key to excellence... Dont forget the dynamic that promotes it!!!!
Thanks Lauren!!! 😊
Hey Ray! Every crowd has that 1% of losers. Forget them! Your work is fantastic and you’re a top notch mechanic! Keep’er going!
Ray as soon as I heard the engine start , knew it was fix love this year model duramax they run for ever
You guys are great. Keep up the great videos
Dexcool only should be used in duramax and ls engines. Don't be surprised if water pump weaphole or something else leaks from using anything else!
In regards to the law enforcement stuff... It really depends on individual within the law enforcement force. Some are power hungry cucks that truthfully shouldn't even be allowed in such positions, while there are plenty of those who actually do good for their communities, and the ones who do good are quite respectable.
Hey Ray the front driver side fuel injector power connector was loose. Hate for a comeback for that.
I love watching the long videos. They’re quite educational.
I'm with you Ray! I will NEVER work on one of these pigs!
Haters gonna hate but I like your frivolous remarks attempting to make a good day out of mundane tasks.
Thoroughly enjoyed the series of videos of the Duramax.
You got this Ray. Trolls will do troll things. The best thing is, they are commenting; so it helps drive the algorithm’s in your favor. You win!!!
I wish I was closer...got a weird Duramax related problem. I'm an advanced mechanical and electronic tech, and my 14 LML is overcharging(16v!!). Dont have access to alldata again($$). I think my BCM is fubar.
Wife Unit is always welcome in the videos!!
Don’t understand why you would get rude comments. I notice that there are lots and lots of Aussies like myself who follow and enjoy your channel. Ignore the negative people, they’re a tiny minority. Your shop is looking great by the way. Every time there’s a camera sweep you can see in the background that it’s getting more and more organised. You are both doing a great job.
Ray am a retired engine mechanic and I am glad there was not 8nternet trolls to deal with. You and the wife are doing great. Just ignore the trolls. I have been following you for a long time and am impressed how you show wins and oops. lol we love your content. Keep sending it man. Click click yup torqued
I think it's great that the wife unit is working with you. She has been with you from the start on the new shop and now knows it from ground up. Literally cleaning and painting shop, running office and learning repairs.
I did that job on an LB7 10 years ago. The original valve cover sealant is no joke.
